@@user-wv6jr5ds1u I think the thing that moved me the most was the soundtrack and the Orchestra. It literally made me cry. Musically and melodically, it moved me.
I don't know how to explain it but the base and the Orchestra hit me right in the heart.
However, the text also played its part.
But above all the biggest part is played by Brunette's voice.
The lyrics can sound silly but I actually think it's so relatable. She's telling about her idealistic lover who doesn't exist. And at the end of the day people dream about simple things like drinking smoothie at the cafe or kissing each other ... not dancing in the stars with their lovers. She was just real. She stands out from everyone else this year. I hope she will Do good and her staging will Look good🤞🏻☺️
You haven’t even heard a half of lyrics and already “making a fun” of it. It is actually very deep, sensitive and emotional, it represents dreams on idealized future and calm moments.
Although the songs meaning is relatable, some of these lyrics are a bit awkward for native English speakers.
I really like this song and she's absolutely gorgeous. I even like the silliness and maybe cheesiness of the lyrics, because I think it fits within the idealized, perfect reality that she's dreaming of
That's the point exactly. Having been in that phase off and on myself in the last few years I can totally relate to those words. In love with wanting to be in love causes all kinds of daft thoughts in one's mind.

I see why you think some of the lyrics sounds silly, but maybe she is showing the state of mind of really wanting someone to love/being in love with the idea of being in love/or even a healthier more normal relationship than she is used too, and all the silly things that sometimes goes through your head, or what you think of, when you want to escape reality, because of others expectations etc and go to your own perfect world. I love this.

This was good. I'm a writer/journo and usually lyrics like this annoy me but not here. Be Good, Do good, Look Good is a really good (sorry) device. I use repetition like this for emphasis - really stick it in someone's mind. And oh look it worked here a treat!! Great performance can't wait to see it on the stage sadly not live like you guys but through good old SBS and the cool thing is I can actually vote for this one.

I agree the lyrics are silly. But so most of the modern songs that people go crazy for - like the Gucci Versace song or I can by flowers.
And this girl wrote her own music and lyrics with English being third language. The music is good and it builds up, her voice is stunning. ❤
I interpret the lyrics as a grieving of a single girl that failed at finding normal and healthy relationship and tries to find it in her dreams and be able to do all the cheesy and silly stuff with her future lover, but even in her dreams they are far away from each other, as the Armenian part says. And that "be good, do good" part is like an affirmation for herself, kind of giving her mental self some advice get out of that grief and move on and only then perhaps she'll finally meet her future lover.
I wish you would have been this critical about Israel, that would have been more fair. And why was that in English and not in Hebrew, she did not do a 50/50. It needs to qualify, I agree. Now..... I need to get a smoothie....

If somebody submits a song to the ESC then they are fully aware that it will be judged by tv voters and jurors. That is the nature of a 'competition'. Reactors, and us below the line, will also judge the songs. That's a given. If they are not robust enough to handle critique, they can easily just make music for their friends to listen to. Nobody is criticising the artist, only the product, which is fair game.

It is a subjective opinion about that particular song, which nobody forces her to release. She does so willingly. If I wrote a song and released it, then I am arrogant enough to be asking people to give it 3 minutes of their time. They then would have every right to judge it. By your criteria we should make the ESC like a contemporary infant school sports day where everyone gets a trophy! 👍

Maybe English is your first language or you use it very often and that is why some parts of the lyrics may sound weird to you. The lyrics are totally all over the place, I can't 😂🙈 And I believe it always sounds better in the native languages cause most of the time the majority of us don't speak the certain language so we don't know how awkward the words might possibly be 😄 Just imagine having the exact same lines here about the smoothies, the coffees, being, doing and looking good etc. but in Armenian - most of us would have no idea what she is singing about and so wouldn't getting awkward because of that 😄
