Good to see it's as good as it was when it left us at Edgware. It had had a lot of work done to it a few weeks before its transfer to UX. Previous to that work being carried out, it was a pile of s**t for months and months 😢
Yeah man, seems to be one of the shining stars out of UX right now. That work that was done to it before transfer definitely paid off then! This is what maintenance can reap 😌
This is exactly what I've been waiting for A fast TopoDyn E400 that can actually reach 60mph This one also sounds like it can rev higher than that Arriva one you did last
Well I'm glad you enjoyed! Yeah these can pretty much 'match' the RPMs of a trident with kickdown, but the gearbox system relies on hills/gradients to actively alter the rev/upshift limits
This thing sounds like TCs E40Ds, well maintained. Cummins wise, i would rather a good Voith Trident with some Stagecoach Thrash or a Topodyn MMC. I must say, these are alright and the axles are audible, they have to be ZF ones definetly. I dont think Voith makes axles actually as the MMCs have ZF axles. This looks very fast for city roads (coming from someone who lives in 20mph speed derated wales)
@@TheTransportTH-camr 20mph, i'm sorry for your loss brother 😂😂😂😂😭 I must say a voith e40d cannot compare to topodyns when they are well maintained, on powermode and have new adblue pumps [Arriva Aylesbury sort ur shit out] But voith e400mmcs do sound amazing and driven with a good drive just makes it better its a hard one i must say.
@@Transport-Coolfunr Oh its a huge loss, our route which historically had the best hills had speed bumps and a 20mph speed limit imposed... But it isnt all too bad as seen in my recording of 138 where the driver was breaking the speed limit. Cardiff Bus dont seem to really care if you break the speed limit moderately as that driver is still at Cardiff Bus. For Euro 2, 5 and 6 and the Ecolife, ZF wins. Voith is only good on the Euro 3
Thanks bro! I don't live close enough to any to board them frequently, in fact I still haven't been on one 😂But I think they're alright I guess, good looking...
At 22:03, that was insane. No London buses can reach 62mph for a deadrun or rail replacement service; not even a normal bus journey too. I might be wrong tho, but this was a beasty ZF for TE1098
Nah most diesel ADL buses in London are limited to that speed. Deadrun wise, you’ve got the 397, Debden to Walthamstow via the M11. And rail rep wise, gotta be either thameslink going North/South of London or Southern/Southeastern/Southwestern But yeah good bus!🫡
Many buses up north can easily reach 62mph, and i know a few that have no limiter and the drivers push it to 70-75 easily. Some.drivers say they have over 80 off the speedo clock
@@cruzvrz8967 all new buses come from factory set at 62, its the bus company that dictates what they set the speed at, either ask the manufacturers to set it to their req speed or they do it in house. Loads of bus companys just leave it at the legal speed of 62 or 100kmh
Yeah the Euro 5 ISB6.7s do sound quite deeper, I 100% agree. If you go outside of London and listen to any E40D from the outside, you really hear that bass from the exhast. It's partly to do with the fact E40Ds outside London aren't trapped but still, the difference is visible

Yeah the driver weren't playing no games bruv 😂
Preciate it!
Nice journey again Frozzles! Gotta love hearing these getting floored, keep up the phenomenal runs 👍
Thank you bro! Yeah that's the standard we set over here!
We love you frozzles, we do! 📢
🙏🏾🫡
Great video🔥 they remind me of the SN60s that used to be at BX
Preciate it bro 🤞🏾
Underrated batch! Great Run as usual!
Yeah heavily slept on 😌
Gosh, so tuneful keep up the good work!
So close to 1k :D
If only our Liverpool drivers were heavy-footed.
Yeah man, nearly there! Thanks 😁
Ticks all the boxes, tip-top condition. Love it! 😍
Yep, covered most of the fleet now!
Great Journey! Why we love Euro 5’s😍

You’ll be suprised quite alot of E40Ds can do 62mph and some do 65mph
@@thegoaheadmpire7825 yeah but all the other Euro 5 E400s as fast as this featured on this channel have been limited to like 40mph
@@spacecowboy151 101 video hit 70mph tops back in 2021

The axles on this is brilliant, can really be heard compared to its counterparts.

These ZF ones can still be found in London.

quite similar axle sound to Scania CityWide busses
I believe these, CityWides and B9TLs use similar axles, yes
