You lot are getting back-to-back Arriva drops! The more unusual type to feature on the channel is a WrightBus diesel product... here today is SW9, a Wright Streetdeck from Arriva London and one of just a few SWs left in London which has decided to open the floodgates! Quite clearly unrestricted, this bus performs a lot better than the norm, wasting no time between 1st & 2nd gear, shifting as high as 2500rpm on full throttle and will never say no to a downshift! As confused as newer Voith makes can get, there are a number of times where it would slip and over-rev between a downshift, then hold onto it's gear until it feels like shifting again. As the roads open up, this bus accelerates up to 50mph, more than enough as it is literally screaming when doing so. Aside from that, the axles do also sound nice, as the bus enters 3rd gear with moderate throttle or brakes applied, they can really be heard alongside the engine & gearbox itself! On a regular... these bassy machines move at snails pace with no character but today that is otherwise. This one is a can't miss... Who else thought all of them were gone because I did!
