My niece is a nurse. She has to pay 17 pounds a day to park in the hospital public carpark because the staff car park is full when she gets there. That's 85 pounds a week.

Pay a decent wage - enough to retain them in post and to make the job financially attractive. When my wife worked for the NHS, the ward frequently declared an 'incident', meaning the ward was not safe because of lack of staff. One year her increment in pay was less than the introduction of parking charges for staff. They everything at it other than what it needs, like cash to attract talent.
Today we are able to announce 🤮🤮. We have invested billions here, billions there, so no-one should wait, no one should be in pain and no one should pay to park their car in a hospital car park! There, sorted!

I recently had a scan fast tracked by a 2nd doctor i saw because i had one of these ' community diagnostic ' referrals she mentions to speed the processes up. I waited 8 weeks when the scan was fast tracked because the doctor said i would be waiting too long. A completely misleading statement to say this community diagnostic is speeding things up.
The nhs has been lifted out of reach of the population. 7.8 million waiting for treatment now having to wait 18 months or more. Ambulances take hours to get to someone with a heart attack.
The NHS is on its knees people needlessly died because of this shameful government the suffering people and there families are going through is absolutely disgusting and horrific

All people will be covered (in USA it’s exclusive for retirees for the former and poor for the later ) and the government will pay the bills, but the providers can be private clinics or public hospitals. That can relive the bottlenecks and better competition enhances quality.

I recently had a scan fast tracked by a 2nd doctor i saw because i had one of these ' community diagnostic ' referrals she mentions to speed the processes up. I waited 8 weeks when the scan was fast tracked because the doctor said i would be waiting too long. A completely misleading statement to say this community diagnostic is speeding things up.

It is not an 18 week target, it is my Right as a citizen of the UK to seen within 18 weeks of referral. Yet the waiting List for me is 8+ Years.
