- Malleshwaram is a quaint locality in Bangalore, Karnataka with lots on offer. From authentic local food to cultural performances, Temples to Shopping areas and lakes, Malleshwaram has got something for everyone.
H. V. Nanjundaiah is credited with the founding of Malleshwaram,[2] and 6th main road is named after him. The neighborhood of Malleshwara hosts people from all walks of life. Nobel laureates (C.V. Raman), renowned scientists (Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan), and world champions (Prakash Padukone) live or lived here, so did many writers, scholars, musicians (Doraiswamy Iyengar), renowned Kannada writer/poet Sri.G.P.Rajarathnam, film stars (SarojaDevi), and educators (M.P.L.Shastry).
In fact, even to this day, Malleswaram has remained a hub of creative and cultural activities. With several schools of classical Indian dance be it Bharatanatyam or Kathak, percussion schools, auditoriums and galleries promoting the arts, to more recent art groups like Bar 1 and Guruskool, Malleswaram seems to have its heart set - then and now - on Culture.

There are many temples in Malleswaram with a lot of history. One temple was excavated and found to be the oldest temple in Bangalore.

Very disappointed to see, i have so many north Indian Friends who genuinely learnt kannada and respected it (atleast could understand and speak basic)
But mostly ppl from Haryana, UP, Bihar don't learn and at the end disrespect it like anything, all other state people are nice🥲
