I like your strategic office possition. You are right by the tea/coffee station. This way, you are more visible in the firm. Every time you look out the office, there is always someone there so, if ever you get stuck or need someone to bounce ideas off, they are there.
As for work preference. I would opt (if given the option) Mon-Wed to WFH. This is because: I have never been a Monday person. On top of that, London Monday commutes are not pretty. Mon is always the worst day of the week for me.
Thurs-Fri work in the office. By Thursday I would be all caught up on my work. I normally feel confident about being on top/sometimes ahead of my work by mid weak. This would give me some breating space. With this time, I could let my face be seen in the office. Go to K Cross football cages with other city boys and play football. And it might give me an excuse to go for a pint or two. I might run into clients' employees. This could give me an insight of their business. Kinda like a secondment 'lite'. All the benefits of a secondment and none of the drawbacks.
Cheers for the content. SUPER HELPFUL!!!

i LOVE this comment so much!! My desk is actually in the best position, you're right. I share the office with my supervisor, hence why I'm sat there, but yes it is in the area where there is the most footfall.
I'm the same - I work better on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office, leaving Mon, Wed and Fri at home.
      Thanks so much for watching!

Hey! Thanks for the resources you mentioned in this video. I'm an LLB student from India applying for LLM in the UK. In corporate law. Please let me know what I can expect as the next step after i complete my llm to procure a corporate job. Would be great to hear your insights or if you could bring someone who has completed their llm in India and is working in the UK. It would mean the world to me!

Hi Jay, I'm not quite familiar with the process of completing the LLM in India. The next step is dependent on your career aspirations and where you see yourself working in the UK. You may wish to apply for paralegal roles or make training contract applications if you wish to become a solicitor in the UK.

Hi, would like to ask hows the work life balance like at your firm ? And do you usually leave office at 6pm?

I was also really impressed by that. 9-6. Not bad. At least 3 times a week. I was expecting like a 9-8:30 aat least 4 times a week. I think a 9-6 would, on average, work out to be around 1200 billable hours a year as opposed to the 2000 hours of other city firms.

Hey!! My firm tends to have quite a good work/life balance. You can see our average leaving time on Legal Cheek: www.legalcheek.com/firm/womble-bond-dickinson/ Leaving at a good time though does depend on the department and the work I've got on. There have been moments where I've worked later into the night because there was an urgent matter or the department was generally very busy.

Why do the tasks at home seem harder than the office ones lol
