I remember when I was a kid I used to hate the high pitched whistle on the #6 but I think I've grown to actually love the sound of it. It's almost a haunting sound you don't get with the mid to low pitched whistles even with how obcenely loud it is.
6 still has its original high-pitched whistle that is used on occasion (heard a couple times in the video), as far as I know it's never taken off, but it seems like other whistles are put on the engines sometimes during the Reunion. Engines 12, 9, and 16 all have had multiple whistles on them at different times.
omg , a tram(trolleycar.) id love to goto some of these but i dont travel anymore but due to the magic of youtube i can . ive even seen the shows like this in the uk and elsewhere .my late dad drove a printing press and loved it. friend of mine gave me a computer from his businness that ran a printing press and along came wordstar and obsoleted everything overnite . his press was worth$1000.0 us at the time . neat coverege .

Don’t quote me on this but I think the whistle worn for several years is just worn out and needs some work done.
It had a 5 step locomotive whistle on it for years and then was changed for the 2021 reunion
