I sold my car privately and followed some of your advice and ur went well. However you forgot to mention the insurance issues regarding buying cars over 20 yrs. old . Most insurance companies are not prepared to insure such cars. Perhaps next time. Thanks for the advice,! 😃
If you in the market for a car more than 5 years old, I think there is immense benefit to buying privately. If you can find a car that has had just one owner & they have good service records that is worth its weight in silver. Unfortunately, at least in the Pacific NW, private sellers are considerably less common than they were 20 years ago.
Thank u for all your educational content. Can you please recommend a 5 seat suv ( preferably a non turbo) and a 4 cylinder and fuel efficient . I am still not convinced on the ev yet considering high monthly insurance. I drive a 2016 koa optima. Need a high seating in lieu of hip pain because of low seating. Intend to keep it for long time.
Are there strategies to trade in your car to a dealership where the price is more in line with the price you would get selling privately? My big concern with trade-in offers is the trade-in offer is usually MUCH lower than private sales averages according to KBB.
JDP best thought of as an advertising company. I've been around a long time and would definitely not buy a Buick or any GM product that I can think of off hand.
Cubans keep their cars 80+ years. Why can’t we? Honda’s and Toyotas last 500,000 + kilometres without any major issues. ( Mercedes, Range Rover and Jeep 100,000 kilometres). 🤔
Been asking that myself lately too. Its a business thing, environmental, production issue as well - spare parts - but also a cultural thing. If there massive demand for this, like producing spare parts for these old vehicles for a reasonable, but not too high price, this could work. Instead buying a new car every 5-10 years is pretty standard now for many, enough to drive the market. Might vary by country and continent of course. I wish we had a more DIY repair culture and mass-demand for cars that support that.
Basically tell the truth and don't hide anything. Know how much you can properly sell for, as they're a lot of lowballers out there and refuse to budge on your price.

Great video bro. Hope everyone knows those critical steps before buy or sell cars.
I provided all service records from my local dealership, also sold car with my nicely installed dashcam
I sold my 2005 Honda Element to a person unseen last year. She bought it from me online first person to contact me.
It really helps to have a iconic car like the Element that is no longer made
Thank you!

Can you review Buick? JD power consumer report says it's better than many brands like Mazda, Subaru etc I really want to check with you

I waited patiently for this video. Alas, you had a chance to make it. Thank you.
@@MrAfrica1963 Sorry it took so long 😅

If a buyer with a "certified check" contacts you on a Fri. afternoon from out of state (usually), it's a crook.
Why?

Buying a used vehicle from a dealership has only 30 days warranty, with limitations.
Certified pre-owned.

that's easy. take it to a very blue city. Say that part of your profit will go to fight global warming, free Palestine and defend democracy.
