Survivor io is one of those games which you would think is boring because of the sole fact you have to play it in a vertical screen, but i assure you it's not, after playing vampire survivors i have come to appreciate these kind of games a lot.
Speaking of Vampire Survivors, the actual game has a mobile version now. The dev of VSurvivors made sure the ads were extremely non-intrusive (not having ads shoved in your face every other round you choose to play). I like having the real thing to play. I think I cleared out quite a few unlocks already, only after a few days.
I have this game and played it a lot! Have a lot of golden gear ad a few S gear. Only level 72 as I spent all my coins to upgrade. I haven't played the vampire game, but this is good enough for a few mins ... lol ... play time.

You have to be selective with what weapons and upgrades you take. You only have to have one upgrade but need the weapon maxed to get the Evo on the weapon. Focus on maxing weapons out and only getting one upgrade for the weapons at first. The two drones, once maxed out, combine to one weapon, thus freeing up a weapon slot. Later on you'll unlock more weapons and some of them use the same upgrades so you can have some free slots to choose whatever in the upgrades. I like magnet. This game was fun at first but it just becomes a grind.
He's played the crap out of vampire survivors - this is a shameless clone. The weapons don't even behave different. I like the look more than vampire survivors though.. is just a pity they haven't really come up with any ideas of their own
The best weapons in the game are the force field the spinning wheels and the type a and b drones. For now. If you have those three at least, you just win. The kunai's are also a good weapon because it's upgrade component give you extra exp
fully upgraded kunai turns into shuriken which imo is the best weapon ive seen in this game yet though i didnt get any s class weapons. force field get weak in later stages so wheels and fire is better. oh the drill is legit good cuz its damage is high af. the rocket which df things is good is garbage honestly
I pulled an S rank sword at some point and still using it to this day because it becomes omnidirectional after a few upgrades. Kunai only shoots in whatever direction you face. I also like that force field and the guardian blades.
Df would be the perfect live stream to watch. His old ones were generally fun to watch and he has a great radio voice where there isn't many dead spots lol.
When ever there’s a type of weapon at the bottom of a skill that means that it evolves whatever’s under it into something better and when it’s the drone you need a type A and a type B drone then it turns into the destroyer drone
I've played this game for almost 6 months now and I'm very satisfied seeing him play it. P.S. Kunai is by far the best weapon, especially once you EVO it to the shurikens
A couple of the weapons are solid when fully Evolved. I was playing really early on, and shuriken was one of the best for its dmg and the fact that you didn't have to aim it. My go to was Evolved Molly, soccer ball/drill, guardians, and the tesla coil. My last would be a fill pick like the Durain, lazers, or forcefield. I would recommend rushing your evolutions since they're really high value.

This game, I started it 116 days ago, why do i know this exactly, because I opened every damn daily chest since then. While still at chapter 32, being full golden +1 and lvl 65. This game could last a series my friend. And we would love it!
I recommend going for this combo: Guardian+Forcefield (that mine looking thing) It becomes an entire doomzone for the monsters once you entirely fully upgrade both of the weapons I hope you'll make another vid like this and use my recommendation!
Yeah, soccer balls are actually OP. They once did 1 million damage for me. Use Forcefield for some defence early game as a backup if you get surrounded, like after the first boss. Make sure to not run into enemies, and boxes give you power-up’s and gold.
I play this game.. a lot. Get BOTH of the drones. Trust. It’s basically the ‘vandalier’ from Vamp Survivor . Upgraded Molotov, lightning, and rockets are solid.
If you decide to play this again, I wholeheartedly recommend getting the increased pickup range powerup which is a magnet in your upgrade screen, it helps a lot once your damage picks up and there are just swarms dying around you
I love this game and play it a lot. You can merge tech parts and they add cool features to the upgrades. For instance, the drones start targeting mobs, which is awesome. If you fully upgrade both drones, they evo into a super-drone, which does more DPS than anything else, by far.
DF got lucky today. Normally it takes him 5000000000 tries before he is able to defeat the first enemy but today he destroyed all enemies. His stuffed animals he calls his closest friends are going to be so happy.

Let me check... I'm on chapter 17. I don't play a lot. I'm level 59 and am on day 60 in daily rewards. Idk if not joining a day will destroy that combo. Too scared to try.
I recommend both Droids and healing droid to make the advanced destroyer whose name i forgot, football, lightchaser, drill, lightning emitter, forcefield/molotov. Get cool down, range, magnet, running boots, bullet speed/golden ticket and you will be where I am. Able to do level 17 while playing chess on PC. Also, get the eternal suit, stylish belt.
I'm at level 46, and on chapter 21. From what i found, droids aren't that great, same with the football. Forcefield isn't bad early in the round, but drops off dramatically by middle of the round. Once you unlock tech upgrades and the guardian has knockback, it's a game changer. Fuel barrel is insane and so are the landmine evos. Whistling Arrow does good DPS, and helpful against bosses, and while HE Fuel is helpful, its evos don't really do enough damage against either swarms or bosses.

I love this game, been playing it for ages as a sort of VS genre game for my phone. good stuff Its android only, but there is one called Magic Survival thats also incredibly good and has a ton of customization that makes it highly replayable
Just a note to DF if he plays this game again, the guardian is definetily one of the strongest weapons in the game and you can become op with the build of: guardian, forcefield, molotov, and whatever else you want. The Ultimate upgrade on guardian would probably be able to solo the whole starter level by itself tbh. Awesome video tho DF! Would love to see more cool evolutions in this game and im looking forward to future videos. 👍👍
I have this game on my phone it is so fun and my favorite combinations of deadly things are the gardians + forcefield, so nothing can touch me drone A + B to get the destroyer and the fire. As well as the magnet to help gain xp while in my little bubble. :D
Hey DF I've completed this game with all S-tier pieces the meta is to get the forcefield plus the rotator blades plus anything else that evolves don't buy the upgrades unless you have a weapon/ability to evo as you only have 6 slots for upgrades and six weapons/abilities. But thank you for your videos man :)
I downloaded this game a few weeks ago and have been pleasantly surprised. No forced ads, plenty of easy premium currency to get without paying. Simple yet effective gameplay loop that plays well on mobile
I always go with a sheild, spinner, molotov, lightning and laser build. The lightning and laser use the same upgrade so you can use that last slot to get pickup range or damage mitigation.
the forcefield is op. it is one of the best starting items because the enimies cant even touch you. also evert time it says "zombies incoming"' or whatever the enimes get stronger. the forcefield with the gaurdian is an op combo and you should get both of then as soon as posible.
also you should try to upgrade omen skill at a time. it is better to have one legendary or mythic skill the 5 or 4 level 1 skills. while you are slowly upgrading your skill the enimies are not so slowly geting stronger.
Combo to try cos of SYNERGY: - guardian Evo + drill shot Evo + HE fuel Makes the guardians spin stupid quick and they get massive so nothing can penetrate them
ive been grinding this game for months its so much fun. i feel like its better than most mobile games cause they never force ads and you never get hard stuck at any point.

Finally I asked so many times to play this. Lightening force field and black hole gun s+2 is the best build don't have to move for the 15mins. Auto aim and money
Here’s some tips that worked for me, GUARDIANS EVO is amazing, and forcefield is great, if you want to stand still, I recommend Molotov, guardian, and forcefield as they surround you, also the whistling arrow(drill things evo) is pretty decent, there’s my tips!
I immediately love that this game shows you the evolutions by default, unlike Vamp Survivors. And not just bcuz it means DF will actually play the game better bcuz it holds his hand more xD Tho that is most of why im thankful for that dev choice. That and it just removes an unnecessary learning curve even if it makes for a feelin of accomplishment when you figure out the right combos, esp bcuz most folks just search up the info; so at that pt... Why not just put it in the game by default!? Games hvily relyin on players searchin for info about the game rather than puttin the info in the game rly does neg impact the gameplay exp for most newer users, esp neurodivergent ones like myself... Bcuz it adds more steps to play a game and fully enjoy it as the game just doesnt tell you how to play it properly.
PS: DF if you get the type a drone get the type b drone too, both when maxed combine to form the destroyer which of course destroys everything. Plus you get space for one more weapon and that's always nice, right?
1:55 the "cactus" is actually a forcefield which is OP that can dissolve zombies it can inta-kill zombies for about two minutes then upgrade it for more DMG
Don’t know if you know this but if you have both the type a and b drones to 5 stars you can combine them to make the legendary/purple upgrades and it frees up a slot so you can get another weapon
I play this game a lot and the best strategy in my opinion is to have the guardian the forcefield both of the drones is so you can combine them and then the big laser beam for like a bosses and if you're in a tough situation
wow... I've spent a LOT of time playing this game... and I can tell you he has a LONG way to go to "get good" at it. That first round he just took things because it sounded good... which actually caused him to miss three items in order to upgrade 3 of his weapons. One of which only upgrades with it's companion weapon, the drones come in 2 and you need both for it to become the ultimate form... which actually kind of sucks. Then he took the Shield upgrade... but didn't get the shield, another miss. The last was the Drill and it's upgrade which turns it into the Whistling Arrow (Yondu, Guardians of the Galaxy) along with the upgrade for the Kunai. As for the Ammo DF this has more to do with the Shotgun and Pistol. The Kunai is one of the better starter weapons at it auto targets when it attacks. It's also weaker than the others, but has the fastest attack speed, especially once you get it's upgrade it's then a throwing star with the fastest attack speed of any weapon/ultimate weapon. All the other weapons have to be aimed; Shotgun, Pistol, Bat, Sword, etc... this only applies to the character weapons and not to your weapon picks in game. The Weapons and Upgrades get annoying later on with RNG coming into play, often times forcing you to take items that do not benefit previous choices. This is one of the resons why the Drone is the worst... without both drones you end up lacking in attack power, even then the attack pattern of the drone(s) often leaves openings for creatures to walk right up to you. --- Drill Shot, Guardian, Shield, and Lightning Rod are a few of my favorites. Drill Shot becomes the Whistling Arrow which deals continous damage to anything on screen. Guardian once full evolved knocks most common enemies away, blocks most projectiles, and deals enough damage that things really don't get to close to you. It's also always active once it reaches Ultimate stage. Shield deals very fast damage to anything close to you, it is small damage but it's fast enough hardly anything gets close enough to hurt you. Lightning Rod is one of the few weapons that will auto target bosses, when faced with a boss or two. (The upgrade is shared with the Laser, great combo if you want to take something like the Attack Damage upgrade or Negative Damage Taken). Though all of these get better with higher equipment levels and rarity levels. --- Molotov is great for when you are dealing with enemies that leave behind poison on the ground after death, it flat out removes the poison. The Laser beam you unlock later as a possible equipment item also does the same thing. Though the damage of the Molotov and area of effect is worthless till you get it's Ultimate Stage. Durian, Rockets, and Brick are kind of worthless, IMO, even after upgrading to Ultimate. The Durian becomes a big spikey ball that shots out spikes in a spiraling motion. It does do knock back though it's not enough to clear a path for easy of travel. Rockets much like the Kunai will auto target the closest enemy. It's Ultimate form is the Bullet from Mario games... it's again not that great at this point. High damage but too slow of a fire rate, even with the upgraded for the Lightning Rod and Laser. Brick... um... ok so it throws more and more bricks in an upward trajectory until you get the ultimate form. The Ultimate form throws dumbbells in 8 directions centered on the player. Ok so this leaves a WIDE area where things are not taking damage. It's best just to avoid the Brick. --- The Soccer ball is an interesting one. As it is only useful in tight spaces, IOW maps that have a boundary. The balls will bounce around at random colliding with either enemies or the boundary walls then ricochet off till it hits something else. They do persist for a while much like the Drill Shot. It's Ultimate is the Quantum Ball, which just creates multiple balls upon impact. Though again I can't stress it enough that this weapon works best with maps that have boundaries. --- The Drone is by far the most annoying as you have to have both A and B in order to get the Ulitmate. One Drone will fire clockwise and the other counter-clock wise. Once you have the Ultimate it continously fires in a circle around you using both a clockwise and counter-clock wise motion. It is very high damage at a fast speed but due to it's attack animation it will leave you vulnerable from multiple directions. The other issue is it requires you to get both drones in order to get the Ultimate. It does free up one Upgrade slot, but with the RNG on what is available I often find that I'll have only one of the two before being forced to choose a weapon over the second drone, meaning it rarely ever gets to it's Ultimate stage. With the items being heavily RNG dependent you'll often find a run is ruined due to a lack of ultimate weapons. Then go right back and walk through the map as it was nothing with getting everything you need to get all weapons to their respective ultimate forms. --- Bear in mind the equipment screen as well because the level of the equipment and rarity will influence your success moving forward in the game. Which at times is frustrating as enemy health does go up further down the line AND then you start unlocking more possible items to pick from further making the RNG frustrating. One thing he failed to show is that you do not use coins to unlock new equipment items. These are unlocked through GEMS. Gems are either payed for ($$) or unlocked slowly through daily achievements. Coins AND items upgrades are required to increase equipment levels. --- The game is fun at first. But like many others in this style it's a HUGE time dump to get anywhere as the RNG will often screw you over. Is it pay to win? Well, it'll make your progression much faster as you can potentially unlock higher power equipment items. I'd say just earn GEMS through the Dailies and unlock chests as you can.
Focus on your defense first then try to only get perks that turn to boost those defenses. Also that force field is amazing early on. Just push through waves to pick all xp.
I have a suggestion on which upgrades are best, but it doesn’t seem to matter to you, but to anyone else, pick Kunia, Molotov, Missile, Guardian, Drill, and Force field. Now, for the non-damaging things, it’s just all the evolutions but the missile one because shark maw does do more damage at once, the 4 missiles I think do a lot more then the shark maw. In place of the HE Fuel, pick either more damage, more hp, or more attack speed, or whatever you want. Anyway, I hope DF sees this and uses my starategy. I didn’t have ANY equipments and this allowed me to beat the final boss in the first area.
if you combine type a and type b drone and level them all the way they combine and free up a weapon slot. the whistling arrow and kunai are the best in the game and once you get going the force field and the molotovs become less helpful

Yes the gold skill is useless but it upgrades Molotov and also like who doesn’t like a bit of extra cash

It just is. I realized early on that it is myself. Guardian = King Bible, Drill Shot = Runetracer, Molotov = Santa Water, and it goes on.

Get cool down, range, magnet, running boots, bullet speed/golden ticket and you will be where I am. Able to do level 17 while playing chess on PC.
Also, get the eternal suit, stylish belt.
I'm at level 46, and on chapter 21.
From what i found, droids aren't that great, same with the football. Forcefield isn't bad early in the round, but drops off dramatically by middle of the round.
Once you unlock tech upgrades and the guardian has knockback, it's a game changer. Fuel barrel is insane and so are the landmine evos. Whistling Arrow does good DPS, and helpful against bosses, and while HE Fuel is helpful, its evos don't really do enough damage against either swarms or bosses.

Just a note to DF if he plays this game again, the guardian is definetily one of the strongest weapons in the game and you can become op with the build of: guardian, forcefield, molotov, and whatever else you want. The Ultimate upgrade on guardian would probably be able to solo the whole starter level by itself tbh. Awesome video tho DF! Would love to see more cool evolutions in this game and im looking forward to future videos. 👍👍

I have this game on my phone it is so fun and my favorite combinations of deadly things are the gardians + forcefield, so nothing can touch me drone A + B to get the destroyer and the fire. As well as the magnet to help gain xp while in my little bubble. :D
Hey DF I've completed this game with all S-tier pieces the meta is to get the forcefield plus the rotator blades plus anything else that evolves don't buy the upgrades unless you have a weapon/ability to evo as you only have 6 slots for upgrades and six weapons/abilities. But thank you for your videos man :)

I always go with a sheild, spinner, molotov, lightning and laser build. The lightning and laser use the same upgrade so you can use that last slot to get pickup range or damage mitigation.

i swear DF reads my mind or something. i legit got this game as an ad not too long ago and was thinking if he was gonna play it.
the forcefield is op. it is one of the best starting items because the enimies cant even touch you. also evert time it says "zombies incoming"' or whatever the enimes get stronger. the forcefield with the gaurdian is an op combo and you should get both of then as soon as posible.
also you should try to upgrade omen skill at a time. it is better to have one legendary or mythic skill the 5 or 4 level 1 skills. while you are slowly upgrading your skill the enimies are not so slowly geting stronger.
Combo to try cos of SYNERGY:
- guardian Evo + drill shot Evo + HE fuel
Makes the guardians spin stupid quick and they get massive so nothing can penetrate them
I have played this game before and it's really mint. You can combo upgrades to get a big star tier.
the force feild is realy good for swarms of weak zombies if there weak you can run right into them without stoping
ive been grinding this game for months its so much fun. i feel like its better than most mobile games cause they never force ads and you never get hard stuck at any point.

Here’s some tips that worked for me, GUARDIANS EVO is amazing, and forcefield is great, if you want to stand still, I recommend Molotov, guardian, and forcefield as they surround you, also the whistling arrow(drill things evo) is pretty decent, there’s my tips!

Why not just put it in the game by default!? Games hvily relyin on players searchin for info about the game rather than puttin the info in the game rly does neg impact the gameplay exp for most newer users, esp neurodivergent ones like myself... Bcuz it adds more steps to play a game and fully enjoy it as the game just doesnt tell you how to play it properly.
You should try guardian+forcefeild+drill. It's crazy defense and dps while you upgrade each one
PS: DF if you get the type a drone get the type b drone too, both when maxed combine to form the destroyer which of course destroys everything. Plus you get space for one more weapon and that's always nice, right?

1:55 the "cactus" is actually a forcefield which is OP that can dissolve zombies it can inta-kill zombies for about two minutes then upgrade it for more DMG

Don’t know if you know this but if you have both the type a and b drones to 5 stars you can combine them to make the legendary/purple upgrades and it frees up a slot so you can get another weapon

I play this game a lot and the best strategy in my opinion is to have the guardian the forcefield both of the drones is so you can combine them and then the big laser beam for like a bosses and if you're in a tough situation
wow... I've spent a LOT of time playing this game... and I can tell you he has a LONG way to go to "get good" at it.
That first round he just took things because it sounded good... which actually caused him to miss three items in order to upgrade 3 of his weapons. One of which only upgrades with it's companion weapon, the drones come in 2 and you need both for it to become the ultimate form... which actually kind of sucks. Then he took the Shield upgrade... but didn't get the shield, another miss. The last was the Drill and it's upgrade which turns it into the Whistling Arrow (Yondu, Guardians of the Galaxy) along with the upgrade for the Kunai.
As for the Ammo DF this has more to do with the Shotgun and Pistol. The Kunai is one of the better starter weapons at it auto targets when it attacks. It's also weaker than the others, but has the fastest attack speed, especially once you get it's upgrade it's then a throwing star with the fastest attack speed of any weapon/ultimate weapon. All the other weapons have to be aimed; Shotgun, Pistol, Bat, Sword, etc... this only applies to the character weapons and not to your weapon picks in game.
The Weapons and Upgrades get annoying later on with RNG coming into play, often times forcing you to take items that do not benefit previous choices. This is one of the resons why the Drone is the worst... without both drones you end up lacking in attack power, even then the attack pattern of the drone(s) often leaves openings for creatures to walk right up to you.

Drill Shot, Guardian, Shield, and Lightning Rod are a few of my favorites.
Drill Shot becomes the Whistling Arrow which deals continous damage to anything on screen.
Guardian once full evolved knocks most common enemies away, blocks most projectiles, and deals enough damage that things really don't get to close to you. It's also always active once it reaches Ultimate stage.
Shield deals very fast damage to anything close to you, it is small damage but it's fast enough hardly anything gets close enough to hurt you.
Lightning Rod is one of the few weapons that will auto target bosses, when faced with a boss or two. (The upgrade is shared with the Laser, great combo if you want to take something like the Attack Damage upgrade or Negative Damage Taken).
Though all of these get better with higher equipment levels and rarity levels.

Molotov is great for when you are dealing with enemies that leave behind poison on the ground after death, it flat out removes the poison. The Laser beam you unlock later as a possible equipment item also does the same thing. Though the damage of the Molotov and area of effect is worthless till you get it's Ultimate Stage.
Durian, Rockets, and Brick are kind of worthless, IMO, even after upgrading to Ultimate.
The Durian becomes a big spikey ball that shots out spikes in a spiraling motion. It does do knock back though it's not enough to clear a path for easy of travel.
Rockets much like the Kunai will auto target the closest enemy. It's Ultimate form is the Bullet from Mario games... it's again not that great at this point. High damage but too slow of a fire rate, even with the upgraded for the Lightning Rod and Laser.
Brick... um... ok so it throws more and more bricks in an upward trajectory until you get the ultimate form. The Ultimate form throws dumbbells in 8 directions centered on the player. Ok so this leaves a WIDE area where things are not taking damage. It's best just to avoid the Brick.

The Soccer ball is an interesting one. As it is only useful in tight spaces, IOW maps that have a boundary. The balls will bounce around at random colliding with either enemies or the boundary walls then ricochet off till it hits something else. They do persist for a while much like the Drill Shot. It's Ultimate is the Quantum Ball, which just creates multiple balls upon impact. Though again I can't stress it enough that this weapon works best with maps that have boundaries.

The Drone is by far the most annoying as you have to have both A and B in order to get the Ulitmate. One Drone will fire clockwise and the other counter-clock wise. Once you have the Ultimate it continously fires in a circle around you using both a clockwise and counter-clock wise motion. It is very high damage at a fast speed but due to it's attack animation it will leave you vulnerable from multiple directions. The other issue is it requires you to get both drones in order to get the Ultimate. It does free up one Upgrade slot, but with the RNG on what is available I often find that I'll have only one of the two before being forced to choose a weapon over the second drone, meaning it rarely ever gets to it's Ultimate stage.
With the items being heavily RNG dependent you'll often find a run is ruined due to a lack of ultimate weapons. Then go right back and walk through the map as it was nothing with getting everything you need to get all weapons to their respective ultimate forms.

Bear in mind the equipment screen as well because the level of the equipment and rarity will influence your success moving forward in the game. Which at times is frustrating as enemy health does go up further down the line AND then you start unlocking more possible items to pick from further making the RNG frustrating.
One thing he failed to show is that you do not use coins to unlock new equipment items. These are unlocked through GEMS. Gems are either payed for ($$) or unlocked slowly through daily achievements. Coins AND items upgrades are required to increase equipment levels.

The game is fun at first.
But like many others in this style it's a HUGE time dump to get anywhere as the RNG will often screw you over.
Is it pay to win?
Well, it'll make your progression much faster as you can potentially unlock higher power equipment items. I'd say just earn GEMS through the Dailies and unlock chests as you can.

Focus on your defense first then try to only get perks that turn to boost those defenses. Also that force field is amazing early on. Just push through waves to pick all xp.
I have a suggestion on which upgrades are best, but it doesn’t seem to matter to you, but to anyone else, pick Kunia, Molotov, Missile, Guardian, Drill, and Force field. Now, for the non-damaging things, it’s just all the evolutions but the missile one because shark maw does do more damage at once, the 4 missiles I think do a lot more then the shark maw. In place of the HE Fuel, pick either more damage, more hp, or more attack speed, or whatever you want. Anyway, I hope DF sees this and uses my starategy.
I didn’t have ANY equipments and this allowed me to beat the final boss in the first area.

if you combine type a and type b drone and level them all the way they combine and free up a weapon slot. the whistling arrow and kunai are the best in the game and once you get going the force field and the molotovs become less helpful
