You guys are one of my favorite bands of all time, and you guys have been one of my biggest influences over the years Never stop making music You guys are amazing
I went to see Anti-Flag when I was 15 or 16 and it was sold out but I saw the drummer outside and started chatting for a bit and he walked me and a friend up the back staircase and told the guy we were with him. Such a nice guy!!
Anti-Flag has influenced me into going to law school. I owe this band my utmost gratitude. They are the most outspoken and activist among the other great punk rock bands.
I remember seeing them at warped a few years ago and it was kick ass! Met the drummer after their show and have a great picture of us. He was awesome. They were one of the few good bands there let alone one of the few good bands that weren’t ska. I love ska but they were a nice break from it.
I grew up listened to Anti-Flag, and they led me to listening to bands like Aus-Rotten and Crass and a lot of the anarcho-punk I listen to today. My only question is...i don't ever remember any Anti-Flag songs written about stopping sexism or anything about animal rights, even though multiple members are vegetarians for animal welfare. They need to expand on these two issues in their music.
One of my white whale bands lol Always missed em live through the years for one reason or another. I still remember my boy givin me a copy of Die For Your Government and then A New Kind Of Army and them being one of my favorite bands for many years. Still keep em in rotation, especially the old stuff, and still got up a flyer that my friend had up in his room til he passed away that I guess was included in the ANKoA record. Most definitely a special kinda band that's able to reach an audience outside of the people like me who already listened to punk and political shit. I know mad people who know every word of "Turncoat" and some of their later stuff but have never listened to bands like A//Political or whatever. A real gateway to punk and/or politics for a whole lotta people. They didn't have that revolution of the mind for me cause I was already in tune with everything they're about, but for a lotta people they did.
I totally relate to.your comment bro. Man I fell in love with Anti Flag when I listened to them for the very first time in a Van's warped tour album in 2001. When to a few live shows and even got to meet Justin and the bass player got a picture framed and everything.
@@btc_7874 can't speak o. Much as we only saw them occasionally in the 90s at house shows or vfw halls, etc. Andy was the only non straight edge member and was quite nihilistic in comparison to the others, much more self destructive as a whole. So as Justin and Pat were going to college for law or whatever degrees Andy was just having a good time not giving a shit. Might has been the issue.
I love this band but wish to push things a bit farther. Yes, wars are fought so that the rich can stay in power. But the Gulf War, which Justin mentions, had MUCH to do with oil and bands use far more than the average person as flights burn A TON. So isn't it the case that wars are fought to also uphold a certain standard of living, which often includes travel (a nonnecessity) and touring? If we are to point out any hypocrisy and complicity in others we must also acknowledge our own. I always thought The Psalters were cool in how they powered their bus with used veggie oil. Also, since Chris #2 not only has mentioned defunding the police but ABOLISHING them altogether, would he or anyone else in the band wish to rid airports of armed security and checkpoints?
Being a politician myself I find that too much politics in rock ends up being boring. I love some of those fun songs on their first album but they went too political.
Literally every facet of our lives is affected by politics, and the fact that you're supposedly a "politician" and you don't understand that, is quite discouraging, and I'm sure part of what this band is about.
The fact that they've been at it this long blows my mind. We need more role models like Anti Flag. Honestly life changing shit
I’m literally going to be a defense lawyer because of Anti-Flag. Love them.
@@bulletprooftiger1879 haha
@@mercutiomurphy2743 my comment either aged very poorly or very well. Goddammit.

Most underrated band in human history, thx for standing up Anti-Flag
I wish more people's can be like you guys . Can't wait to see you again .

I have listened to Antiflag since the 90s and they continue to be one of the finest punk rock bands in history with a message.

Respect from Ukraine. U're awesome guys! Thank's for the greatest show on Zaxidfest 2014
Saw u guys 21 years ago. Die for your government! ADD comp sound of rebellion was my gateway to punk!
19? Oh God I'm 21 and haven't done anything nearly as good as Anti-Flag at that age
They're lying. They were all 24 in 1997.
Justin and Pat were 24 in 1997. Chris Head was 17 and Chris #2 was 16 (although he joined the band in 1998 at the age of 17).
I really appreciate Justin's mindset. Loving the new tunes!
This comment aged like milk
thank you for being you. and for the good message so many years.

Anti-Flag has influenced me into going to law school. I owe this band my utmost gratitude. They are the most outspoken and activist among the other great punk rock bands.
Right right!! Their system doesn't work for you!
thats awesome....just as bad religion influenced me to become a scientist...who says punk rock is a bad influence

Bring Out Your Dead
Bring out your dead

Literally no mention of "Andy Flag" the original bassist, shows how much they hate the guy.
Why do they hate him?

Wow you obviously don't understand punk culture
The entire point is to be overly political
It’s... it’s a political punk rock band. That’s the point
They're called anti flag🤦
"being a politician myself"... Well maybe go listen to a band that doesn't shit on you 24/7 lmao
