    We visited the Singapore Botanic Garden in February on our way to New Zealand - and we made a point of returning in March on the way home to England. A fabulous place and thank you for your beautiful video. We managed to see crimson sunbirds and a yellow bittern by the lake - along with pink-necked green pigeons. Not to mention dragonflies, monitor lizards and red-eared sliders. Thank you to all the team of gardeners for all the magnificent orchids, gingers, palms... WOW!

      Great to know you have enjoyed the gardens. Yes, I agree with you. The gardeners were very friendly too. I usually go for nature walk alone and they do not mind interacting with me when I speak with them. Very nice people there. As for the wildlife, they move about. I am always thankful for being able to spot any wildlife during my nature walk. Thank you for watching and subscribing to my channel. Wishing you a Happy New Year 2024.

      Yes, beautiful bird. We can only spot them during migratory period between Oct to Mar and need to be lucky to spot them. I was indeed very lucky to spot this one at SBG while on the way home for a few minutes. After that did not see it here anymore. I have another sighting at Jurong Lake Gardens, video shared on 1 Mar 2023. Check out this video for a longer clip of the Blue-winged pitta. By the way, thanks for following on and subscribing to my channel. 🙂

    I love your videos! Thank you for them.
    Deciding whether to visit Singapore in March.... and after seeing all the wildlife / birding videos, I am decided! Definitely packing my binoculars and camera :)
    I lived there for almost two years, but was not into birding then, so had no idea that so many species can be found there.

      Birds do move about. Hope you are as lucky as me, meeting wildlife as you explore the parks. Thank you for following on, subscribing to my channel and putting your comments here. It meant a lot to me to know if it is worth sharing what I saw during my walks. Do you mind sharing with me where are you flying from?

      I am coming from London. I only got into bird watching here in the UK and have no special camera, but love nature and watching animals.
      I found some useful website about Singapore birds. Would you agree that mornings and afternoons are the best times to spot them?

      @@evab1026 Morning are best time to watch birds. 12pm to 2pm can be very quiet. As for me, I love to do nature walk and leave it to wildlife to meet me. So I do it anytime I like. LOL. Thanks for sharing with me where you are flying from. Have fun.

    Very nice video. I enjoyed the relaxing flow, and it was wonderful to see so many amazing birds. I am desperate to go to Singapore and see your beautiful birds, but I will have to wait for a while yet. Thank you for all of the useful information.

      Good to know you like this video. However, wildlife do move about.... ha ha. So, it really depends on our luck if we meet them when we visit. No hurry to visit Singapore yet, cause the migratory season is ending soon. Our migratory season is between Oct to Mar. For this season, I realised I spot more birds between Nov to Jan. The rest of the months was rather quiet. Hope this infor helps.

      Hello, Is there an additional cost for bringing a camera with a telephoto zoom lens?

      Not at all. No admission cost for the gardens (except orchird garden) too. By the way, thanks for watching and subscribing to my channel.

    What’s the best time of the day for birding at botanic garden?

    • @kimpriority
      @kimpriority  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In general, it is best to watch birds in the morning in Singapore. After 12pm, the parks and gardens turns quiet. Birds may appear again after 2pm, but not as active as in the morning.
