Regardless of how the interview question is phrased, you will need to use positive keywords and phrases when describing yourself in your job interview to get hired!
5 THINGS TO INCLUDE WHEN YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN AN INTERVIEW:
#1 - You are a FAST LEARNER 01:04
- All employers want to hire someone who will be committed to getting up and running in the role quickly.
- Think about it… if the employer has to spend lots of time training you up, what’s the point in hiring you?
#2 - You are COMMERCIALLY AWARE 01:42
- Being commercially aware means, you understand that, for their business to be successful, you must work hard, you must be self-motivated, and you must work to a high standard.
#3 - You are a GOAL SETTER 02:12
- This is a great thing to include when you describe yourself in a job interview!
- Goal setters are renowned for being people who consistently achieve great things in their work and in their everyday lives.
#4 - You have the SKILLS & QUALITIES to match the JOB DESCRIPTION 02:38
- The job description is the blueprint for the role you are applying for.
- By referencing this document when describing yourself, you are showing the interviewer you understand how important it is to have the applicable skills and qualities to succeed in the role!
#5 - You are LOYAL & TRUSTWORTHY 03:08
- Two of the most important qualities a hiring manager or recruiter will seek from a potential employee are loyalty and trustworthiness.
- If they can trust you, and you are loyal, your chances of success will increase!

My biggest takeaways
- Tell the interviewer you are a fast learner, commercially aware, a goal setter, that your background matches the job description, and that you are loyal and trustworthy
- Some of my my favorite buzzwords: “Positive return”, “Add value”, “professional development”, “working under pressure”. I can definitely use these!

Really great advice and the detailed phrases is gold! The one that comes in 5.36 is a bit too cocky though, for us who live in scandinavia. Too much self confidence like this, is more an american thing I believe. Scandinavians wants it more, subdued:p

I have one question, would you say its ok to "fake it until you make it"? When you are not so sure you will succed? I'm asking because I'm a newly graduated job searcher and there are like no entry level jobs in the sector where I search for jobs. I have no "relevant" job experience, so these buzz words are a bit strong for me. I know men do often dare to "fake it" until they make it. Not sure if it works out well though?

Next Tuesday 9th 2024 i have my 2nd interview but video interview with this pool and spa company (NPP) with the VP of the company and i never worked there before . Now i am doing my research about them and learning about the company in that aspect. For the past 20 years, i been Operations Manager for 3 companies the o ly 3 jobs i ever have and i am 39 years old.and i believe i have always have a passion for my job and maybe that is one of few reasons why the choice me and decide to move to the next and final interview.
