Since blue is my favorite color, I am quite happy with the current colors! Few boats are painted this way. Yours identifies who you are and what the channel represents. Blue is pleasing and assuring. I would keep it if it was my boat!
Nice to see you are using a Walder Boom Brake. I first learned of this device after meeting Phillip Jeantot after he won the BOC Challenge singlehanded round the world sailboat race. He broke the previous world record. They threw him a party at New York's Water Club. I spoke to him there to discuss the Walder device. He used it religiously whenever he slept. I bought a thirty foot boat and didn't want to risk any accidents as I had little children.
I've still got a scar on my eyebrow from dealing with a nightime popup squall with Spinnaker up. Luckily we had a dentist onboard to stitch me up! Memories from the 1985 Transpac Race. Good call to reduce sail for the night.
OMG 😱 1800 miles in 12.5 days. Some sweet sail cruising, you guys‼️👍🏻 Sweet Ruca surely is a fast sailing vessel. As to color. My bride and I have been noticing a newer shade of orange on automobiles lately and kinda like it. Yet after some discussion, we both decided that while ‘hot’ for the moment, it would grow old (for us) and we would stick to some other newer and classic colors for our vehicles. May be the same for a boat. Gotta say, the ice blue of Sweet Ruca is one hell of a wonderful color……yet, she is your boat. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Looking forward to some Marshall Island videos. 😊 🏝️ See you next time. ✨🌊💨⛵️⚓️🏝️👙🌞✨
Coucou sweet Rucca Merci pour votre vidéo de fin de voyage. Les couchers de soleil sont magnifiques. Pour la coque j’ai une préférence pour le bleu foncé avec un liserer blanc. A bientôt Voilier Girighiz 5 🇫🇷
I love watching your videos. You're a great couple. I just took my 44' sailboat out in the Gulf of Mexico for a 2 night sail. The second night, the winds reached 25 knots and a small craft advisory was issued. Those winds are no joke, but I see you guys handle them (and much higher winds) as a common place and not make much of a deal about them... but your videos would get pretty tedious saying "We had ANOTHER bad storm!" every other video? I don't think many people appreciate just what you guys (and dog) go though...
I wouldn’t have thought of that spicy orange, but I really like it - perhaps because it’s atypical? There’s a good tradition of orange dials on dive watches, such as the Doxa Sub 200 which seems close to what you were looking at? It’d make Sweet Ruca look very contemporary too 😎
Hi! One more step, congratulations! Didn't know the Marshall Islands were so busy! I thought they'd be more like French Polynesia, with shallower atols and much less big ships. Roxy smelling lend is lovely! Do you think a jump to Japan, then Alaska, Canada, US west coast then to Marquesas is a viable route for a Pacific Ocean "round trip" on a 40"/50" boat? Thanks for the video, fair winds!
I'm afraid you might have to concede that your blue boat is a major part of your brand or USP. Don't let that stop you confidently shaking things up though. You paint your house which ever color you guys want.😊
Akzo is Dutch like myself. The orange seems an obvious choice as it is our national colour. However, I would add a bit of brown making it look like Roxy.

Awesome episode. Have fun guys. My house votes that the boat stays blue

Can't imagine Sweet Ruca any other color than blue. Enjoy your stay in the Marshall Islands and have a Merry Christmas. Keep having fun and stay safe.

Great sailing. Impressed by how clean and orderly you keep Ruca. Keep the great content coming.
And no boasting of things flying around the cabin, sliding off counters, of falling out of bunks.
Roxy told me she likes the blue. Reminds her of the blue water she loves to swim in!!
Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year

Love to see Roxy living her best life with her favorite humans!!

Go through, or go with? They are sailors. That's what we do.
Love your chill attitude.

Wow a Barber Haul! u don't see that every day!
Imagine sailing across the Pacific with Magellan, not knowing where you are going and what is out there.

Blue.
Kate... How about a new fashionable hate for Christmas...? ;) Take Care both 🙏

Interested why you said 1800 miles through french Polynesia etc. Hmmm looks like a james bond movie.

Did you see any traffic in your crossing?
Going to take a day to get your land legs.
Keep it blue, please.
I like the orange, generally.
