Who's best for the Schaefer Yachts 660?

- Fast, agile, powerful and stylish. This Schaefer Yachts 660 is a big boat with lots of moving parts yet with modern tech she feels at about the limit of what most competent owner operators would feel comfortable using without the assistance of crew.
So if you're the kind of person that enjoys being in control of your vessel but wants the space and options that only a bigger boat provides then this 660 is worthy of your consideration.
She's definately more on the sporty side by the way she drives so if you desire that feeling of speed and banking into those turns then this is a boat that's going to give you that feedback. Naturally you can just chiull out a bit and drive slower and keep everything calm for your guests but my point is that you have the option on this boat to have a bit of fun where as on some other sports yachts in this size you're not going to get this type of feedback.
Please enjoy.

detailed tour, super cinematic & incredible video. Your camera & edit production team needs a raise for real. Bring more vids. top notch 🎩
Very good presentation. A new videographer shows. The blending of scenes and transitions are nice.
Schaefer yachts have it all. They are very beautiful and well designed. High-quality materials, practical and functional layouts, and equipment.
I group Schaefer right there with Riviera in quality, design, fit and finish.
Two level beachclub. Perfect for barbecue and Sashimi.
Another excellent review Dan! Great info presented in a thoughtful and fun style. Beautiful Yacht!!
Aloha from Hawaii!
Hey mate you need go eat at Arantes bar!
I love your boat tours.
Few things always bug me on these yachts, which are supposed to be all about luxury and comfort.
The TV's and tables usually don't have viewing comfort in mind. The TV here is only visible from a couple of seats and even then people have to turn their heads. On the opposite side, the table doesn't turn into a coffee table so viewing TV at night or in poor weather when you're inside isn't comfortable at all. Even the sound bar is where? It's not even over/under the actual TV??? That's going to produce an awful situation.
Also, I really think all tables need to be high/low and expandable for optimum variety. Expand for eating, make smaller for a standing table, lower for coffee table, or lower and expand to add a filler cushion to make a lounger/extra bed in saloon.
TV's hidden behind mirrors also are just a design decision. For TV viewing its going to be terrible. Dimmer viewing and reflections unless in total darkness. Just dumb and not a good feature at all.
Designers of these yachts treat TV's as less important, but they're an essential component for nights or poor weather. Nice yacht but something that seems nit-picky would really, really bug people over time for sure.
Looks beautiful but can it survive an Orca attack?
Can you explain why this, at 66ft would be owner operator, while something like the Pearl 72 or a fly bridge in that size range would be so different? Especially if they're IPS or have joystick maneuvering? I know the Pearl 72 doesn't have a joystick, but I doubt the difference between owner operator or needing crew boils down to IPs vs shafts drive.
What's the criteria for owner operator vs needing a crew. Usually, under 80 ft many people consider owner/operator capable.
It varies from boat to boat and crew experience but IPS with Dynamic Positioning does give the right skipper the ability to run a boat without extra help. But access to the deck, cleats and transom in relation to helm and wing stations is all relevant. Also visibility from the helms are all factors you would consider. I’ve driven that Pearl 72 and she’s a bigger boat in terms of volume and I’d want a deckhand for that boat.
Nice boat, but the tv is on a complet wrong places.
Hey Dan, you know the word "bougie" is a bit of an insult in the US, right? 🙂
al fresco means in the open air. I wonder why we cannot just say outdoor dining? I suspect it is because people think al fresco sounds fancy.
Sashimi means raw fish. I wonder why we cannot just say just outta da hook? I suspect it is because people think Sashimi sounds fancy.
Schaefer has an r on the end of the name. :)
Nice yacht but no dishwasher in a 66 seems like an omission.
A dishwasher is of course an available option for the boat. Either full size or drawer style.
🙏 👍 🇨🇷
Handrails down to the master suite, chromed and aggressively angled , look dangerous to me.
Aggressively angled 😂😂😂
You're not wrong, but it was funny 😂
Closed captions are trash.
This is a really cool boat, but it’s too luxurious for my taste. It’s just too much.
Most people buying a 66-foot boat want luxury, I would think.
@@scottprice8994 I suspect you’re correct. I see this as a great weekend charter where a husband and wife would bring people out for weekend jaunts to the Bahamas or the Kimberleys.
Overpriced, can not be an option in this category.
That's a regular shower head.
Dan, you do not have to talk during every second of a video.
Scott, you do not have to put three comments on one TH-cam video.
@@dolphnz LMAO!
