the fact that this has such a high number of views and such a small number of likes says one thing: there is a small group of people that love the OST and have listened repeatedly to these songs. I am one of those people
the scene where this music plays is by far my favorite in any movie. Sam storms his way into the building to get his fathers disc and owns everybody to this beat. Daft Punk really did an amazing job carrying the emotion in their music.
Dude, I've been looking for this song for about 2 years, and I'm just here for the same thing you said, this is amazing, I found the song, and I also found someone who's also coming for the same thing as me. 🥺❤️❤️❤️
NavyFiceRoid42 You didn't read the comment. He was talking about a game with VR and motion control compatibility that will let you destroy enemies by throwing disks.
Definitly one of my favorite soundtracks. :) I think my top three for this year are: -Tron Legacy (Daft Punk) -How to Train Your Dragon (John Powell) -Alice in Wonderland (Danny Elfman) All amazing soundtracks :)
I don't know much about music and cannot play any instrument but I still feel like this song is a masterpiece. Perfect build up that keeps you engaged like few songs can.
This year has seen three absolutely amazing soundtracks: -Tron Legacy (Daft Punk) -Inception (Hans Zimmer) -The Social Network (Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross)
This song was used during the opening ceremonies for the Sochi Winter Olympics. It appears towards the end of the ceremony just after the torch has been lit. The segment was dedicated to the athletes calling the "Olympic Gods".
When I listen to "Epic Music" there is usually a "boring" phase of the music, whether it be for a second, or half a minute... But this music has NO boring phases at all, from the build up, to the finale, and with the aftermath, it is just ALL EPIC!
i understand most people were expecting a lot more electronic inffluence but this really shows how epic daft punk is, combining orchestra with synthesizers etc. as much as i love raging, this is supposed to set a mood for a movie, not make you want to jump up and down as the beat drops
Listening to the entire soundtrack with your headphones on......Takes you to a whole nother world. Doesn't matter if its symphony music that doesn't go with Daft Punk because they're electronic Gods. They made music to go well with the movie and it fits like 2 perfect puzzle pieces.
Best track of the whole score. And maybe the best scene. I was on the edge of my seat, thinking "WTF, I'm involved in that shit, come on, Sam, beat them all and grab the girl !!"
by far the best track on the album. I saw the movie, loved the soundtrack, bought the CD and was glad to see this on there. So many soundtracks I've bought in the past haven't had the 'good' tunes on them!
Because in a world where everything is on a flash drive or downloaded directly on internet (save that of video games for now at least) you rarely need a CD...
Makes sense. In the original the discs were meant to represent the old fashioned hard drive disks they had at the time. Whereas since most programs at the time of Legacy's release were on compact Disc. Maybe the newer ID discs in the 3rd might incorporate the flash element.
+Kristian Watson-Noonan It was a rescue mission. So they try to stay out of War as much as possible. Whereas the Original Tron was a survival mission. Flynn had to get involved in wars so he wouldn't get killed.
Really enjoy this song, absolutely love the slow building energy it has. For whatever reason, this song makes me think of playing Halo CE, back in the day.
Soldier: "Identify yourself!" Kevin: "I'm taking this vehicle" Soldier: "You are not authorised-" *BONK* Soldier: "Right away sir! Watch your step as you enter the aircraft"
I listen to this song every single day before i go to bed and when i wake up, every since i first heard it, the soundtrack to my life...i thank you for making this song
why am I suddenly obsessed with this track so many years after the movie came out? WHY??? IT IS SO EPIC!! It should be a meme. “That moment before you do the presentation that makes or breaks your company” “The seconds before you meet your girlfriend’s dad for the first time” “The last 10 minutes of the last final before the semester ends”
Discovery, one of the best Daft Punk album is not only "electro", it is also groovy, jazzy and all of it brilliant ! It was made to compliment an anime. that OST is brillant. yes it's not "Da Funk" every second. It is a truly inspiring electronic soundtrack made for a story.
sountrack station you legend ! this soundtrack is outter outstanding....listen to this track....some of these tracks on here are epic. Epic for the new decade - 2011 - Daft Punk - Electronica's King - The future ! Long live the syntheiser !!!!!!!
Love this theme! Its like a twisted twin of NIN Warm place, only epic in ways id never have imagined. This soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard.
I love this soundtrack...I believe this is the best track on the score...followed by 18, 9, 7, and 3...not in that order for sure though....great score...Daft Punk really stepped out of their comfort zone to make this and they rivaled hans zimmer in doing so...not easy to do!!! Great Job guys!!
i was listening to this, reading something else, not really paying attention, but then around 3 mins, i was just moved to tears by what i was hearing...
This song was playing when Sam went into Clu's ship to find Kevin's disc. When Rinzler showed up....threw Quorra onto the ground and got into a fighting stance against Sam with the song in the background...I had the biggest smile on my face :D
I love thinking epic while listening to "Time" Inception theme with awesome headphones but this... these Tron songs brings a whole new meaning to EPIC!
@TrenchToast Oh that's cool! I don't remember hearing those as much, but I heard this one frequently where I live and looked it up. That's still cool they're dabbling into movie soundtracks now. :)
@TheOpinionater I get entirely different feelings from both the scores, so I'd argue they're different enough to hold out on their own. They may use similar BOOM noises, but Daft Punk has more of a sweeping techno feel to it, while Inception is epic menacing classical music. I'd honestly be miffed if that was their reasoning, especially since their soundtracks are both so unique compared to other movies. Love your username BTW.

Yup! Me too.

Dedicated to Tron both soundtrack and movies media tv show etc! I wish Tron didn’t die :(
"Master Key disengaged" - just watched this movie (again) a few hours ago. Still obsessed with the world of TRON!
Same, but not too much 😅
the scene where this music plays is by far my favorite in any movie. Sam storms his way into the building to get his fathers disc and owns everybody to this beat. Daft Punk really did an amazing job carrying the emotion in their music.
Totally
Yeah It's sad They broke up
My favorite part is how when Sam removes the disc, the alarm that blares is incorporated into the score.
Yep my fave part also.
2:00 When Sam steals the disc the music matches the alarm and it's just fantastic
Yeah I thought it was the alarm but was the music

I agree in 2023
We can allll agree that Tron Legacy is an underrated movie right?
It lacks
Yeesss
Yes
incredibly underrated this soundtrack is unmatched
Along with interstellar.
"Radical man!" -Flynn reminding us this is an old franchise.
or just Jeff bridges being himself.
'...one day, I got in man!' - note the omission of the last word in the earlier song and film - too hippy for today me thinks.
BIODIGITAL JAZZZZZ MAN
According to me, THIS is the best soundtrack in the whole list.
I second this
I third it. It builds amazingly.
You know, feature of this movie is that every song of it that you are listening to feels like the best of all time
Unlike most, I like this movie.
Who the hell is most?
It's a masterpiece
@@BlackEydPanda he's probably talking about the people who disliked
My favorite movie of all time. I actually really loved it!
Like Star Wars Prequel, I don't know why people hate it. I LOVE THIS MOVIE. Everything about it!
Kevin Flynn: "Come on kiddo. (Sam and Quorra fly through the glass) Radical man!"
I love the underlying beat, it gives a rhythm to walk like a badass...
I can't wait till disc wars becomes a reality with VR headsets and motion controls.
oculus rift bro look it up

My friends and I just threw paper(origami) disks at each other while listening to derezzed

The suspense build up around 3:00 to the end is simply epic.
so beautiful & emotional
Definitly one of my favorite soundtracks. :) I think my top three for this year are:
-Tron Legacy (Daft Punk)

i understand most people were expecting a lot more electronic inffluence but this really shows how epic daft punk is, combining orchestra with synthesizers etc.

Nice, the way it just keeps building up the intensity with the synth's and the orchestra. What a combination.
