Yeah, a lot of the edgy/cringy political stuff they’ve done in this show since the start is actually based on similar things that people have really said or done.
Forbes wrote an article about the sexual assault on hughie.... apparently the showrunner Eric Kripke wrote it off as hilarious in an interview with Variety, he was even quoted saying: "I love that it’s just such a perfect setup that he doesn’t know his own safe word. It’s just like a beautiful comedy setup that he’s trying to find it the whole time.” The issue is had this quote come out after a female character was sexually assaulted in a similar scene, the uproar would be unmeasurable, along with the showrunners integrity coming under scrutiny and question, yet this gets glossed over and people move on.
people are acting like he was gang ass raped or something.... he did a squat cobbler, got tickled and foot licked, and got some juices rubbed on him. it sucks for Hughie obviously, but its not the worst thing ever.
@@Wolfhunter5607I agree about MM. His OCD and panic disorder has been an issue since season 1 and this season, we’ve seen it nearly kill him and barely gets mentioned in reviews
More confirmation that sister sage is playing them. I think she's gonna turn on homelander. But her plans, the boys plan and butch plans. Are going to collide, next season. Should be interesting to see how its going to play out.
i dont like teknight but his power is cool, the idea of basically super date is cool like imagine if sage also had his power, she would have so much information as well as the ability and processing power to understand and deal with it.
I don't think he's upset about it. He just mentioned how tiresome it is that they've beaten it into the show. I'm from the UK, and the oversaturation with the American political satire in this season has been ridiculous, and kinda takes focus off the overall plot. This season just feels like a season long SNL sketch.
Just my personal opinion of course, but I don’t get being upset over the political commentary/satire that goes on in the show. I think that they make fun of the super extreme far right, not really all conservatives, just like they make fun of liberals and “woke” corporations. A lot of the commentary is just copy and paste from things people have actually said in the real world, so it’s not even parody at this point, just straight up reality lol. I don’t think it’s worth getting upset over unless you’re one of those extremists and share those views, like Jewish space lasers and a woman’s body aborting a pregnancy because it came from rape (things people have said in real life). Love your reactions as always, although I feel for your son Shane, I would NOT be able to watch this show with my parents if I was that age 🤣

It’s so weird seeing Shayne in a group that isn’t Blind Wave
Should malikai really be watching this?? LOL
The funny thing is a congressman from Missouri actually said that exact thing about women being able to reject rape pregnancy lol.
Wasn't he the same one from the first season that got blackmailed by Madelyn Stillwell?

Yep. Todd Akin.
@@clojap yeah which is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard
This episode is bizarrely good 🤣🤣
It’s hilarious Jack Quaid is also Gwen Stacey’s Peter Parker from spiderverse
he is also superman in the current superman animated series.
I really love that Jack has carved his own little niche career completely outside of his parents

The guy in the pink is definitely a conservative upset that at the political jokes in the show. Get over it man. 😂
Gotta call him “Mr.Pink” from now on.
Nonono let him uncook, let him prove the show right
