It's almost as if you gave these folks a list of things you'd want to buy, years ago and they got all of it. Then they called you to come and buy it all from them. Some people just have good taste.
I'm sure Alex doesn't find this to be a big money maker, but it's a very cool collection from a wonderful couple. The album box find was really cool. Great selections from what I could see. If I was Alex I would just keep it for the memory because it made him think of his Dad, but that's just me.
What a lovely couple! I love older peoples. Often we don't realise the value of their stories until they're gone. I loved the 2 hunters with thier trophy on the bonnet roflol! 😂🤣😂 I would definitely keep that one! Wishing you, Alexander, a very happy time going through the box of records and memories.
You choked me up when you talked about the albums and how your Dad loved them. How neat to see you going through them!!! What a great variety of goodies!!🥰🥰🥰
I have that little sewing machine in its box. My mother gave it to me when I was very young. I wanted to learn to sew but she was afraid to let me sew on her treadle machine. So she gave me the little Singer machine for Christmas. I made tiny things on it, doll clothes and the like. It's not antique but certainly vintage from the '50s.
Thanks for taking us along on the pick. Letting go of the things that once seemed so important will eventually happen to each of us: Hearses don't have trailer hitches. Everything's gotta go. They are not long, the weeping and the laughter, Love and desire and hate: I think they have no portion in us after We pass the gate. They are not long, the days of wine and roses: Out of a misty dream Our path emerges for a while, then closes Within a dream.
That's pretty Cool found all those things and toys, and Books, catalogs! And MAGAZINES, TAKE CARE of your self! Say Hello to your family too! Mary in Florida! Not David B.! I have the I pad now! ♥️🌴😎🤔😁😉🏍🏎😉💖💖🌴
The sports car cards are Arcade Cards...have had the machine for them that they were vended from for 5 cents each. The printer's drawers with thos divisions are technically for linotype, the lead slivers which had the letters on one end.
Hi Alex, this is Heather from Iowa USA. I am an odd duck, I collect random buttons, just because I like random stuff. I don't do auctions as I am on a fixed income. But I would have so much fun looking through the box!!! Also I love that this pick was definitely my time period!!
Abigail must have loved going through all the buttons!! They seem to be her style! Funny, they were mine too being teen in the 70's and early 80's!!!❤❤❤
When I was a child my favorite thing to do when I visited my grandmother was play in her button box. I can still remember the smell from those old buttons. lol
As to the McCalls magazines In each edition the was a paper doll called Betsy McCall. You could cut her out along with her clothes for that month. There are still people who collect just the Betsy mccalls
Love these videos so much,so many memories…I am almost 68,born in 1956 in Amsterdam in the Netherlands.🇳🇱 Thank you Alex for always bringing back memories of things I thought I forgot.🙏🏻🥰
The celebrity photographs were a real find! My mother was of that generation that would write to the studio for an autographed shot. Next to the Mickey Rooney picture that was Sonja Henie a famous figure skater from Norway. My mother loved her pictures! What a treasure trove you've got there! wow!
Those printers letter box’s are great as keepsake holders. We traveled a bit in our RV and each place we went I would find something small, just out of the blue and I’d put it in one of the little spaces. I hung it on our wall in the RV and we had so many little mementos when we parked it. I would hot glue them in place so they’d stay put while going down the road. This couple really has wonderful things to look though. Everything would tempt me to take it home. ✌🏻🤍🤞
The Cutlass car ephemra was my favorite mine was 1986 with rally rims/tires..🤗🎉 I loved that car and they're very desirable..😍😮 Nice group of items for your upcoming auction.. Take care Alex..👍❤🔥🤙
Alex my special love. You are the antique version of the past. I’m glad you were able to fulfill your Dad’s dream of buying a box full of records. There is a special place in my heart for you. Thank you so much for taking us along on your buying trip. Until next time. Please, take care and stay safe. I love you.🍺👍🕊🇺🇸🌞❤️🌹🌈🙏😇
I had the same Cavalier in the brochure...when I bought it ..I got a trip to New Orleans..it paid for the hotel room for 2 days in a nice hotel in the center of Bourbon St.😊😊
In the jungle with Red Guerillas? Drugs on the Campus? Papers had different topics back then. Even Pall Mall (which is a cigarette brand) had their own paper
First and foremost, you're SO gracious, saying it was so nice to have "help". Those people were so annoying, I fast forwarded through that whole part. Some very cool stuff you got though. Brought back lots of memories, since I'm an old fart too. I hope you scored the records your Dad was after, you didn't say. But how great would that be for you! Jayman...
At least Alex has the graciousness to deal with all types of folks , unlike you who is just plain rude.. if you've nothing good to say about people then stay quiet...
I've wanted to watch a lot of your auctions. And I can't figure out how to get it downloaded on my phone I haven't Android. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong to? Get casters downloaded on my phone so I can watch your auction. I want you while you're watching it, but after that I can't. Seem to get it downloaded to me where I can see it.I always enjoy any type of your videos. They're always fun to watch😊
I have loved watching your videos, and I have learned a lot. I would like to try my hand at buying from an auction, but sadly and embarrassingly, I don’t have any experience and I don’t know how to buy or even watch an auction online. I would really love it if you can do a video about how to watch an auction and bid on items! Does your auction house ship to Malibu California?
80s McDonald's toys meet the definition of collectible - things not made to be saved but were anyway, and that people remember. The later ones, Madame Alexander anyone?, were made to be collected and thus aren't collectible. Hess trucks are the same way.
I like the way you get real excited over the postcards but act like you had no interest in the Buddy Holly LPs knowing they are worth the most in that LP box.
I've gotten so many items from my parents and their parents. However, I've given a lot away, plus found many things in thrifty stores. How do we know the value of those things?
Alex the McDonalds generation grew up and are adults today, and McDonald’s grew up and changed with their generation, who like Cappuccinos and mocha lattes.
Hey Alex , you didn’t show any of the stuff woman like , sewing machine, little houses . I liked the magazines and other but my interest lies in women’s fun stuff. Next time I’ll hide the cool cars from you. lol.
We moved to a different home in the middest of home educating. At the old house I had to teach at our dining room table, I planned to teach in our finished basement at our new home. After the first year we moved up to the dining room table again and stayed there until we were finished.
Hey Alex I'm just curious and wondering. If your at someone else house do you ever weird you going though people personal effects even when you have the home owner permission
Kinda difficult going through stuff whilst the people are there. What they think is valuable might not be, and you have to tell them to their face it isn't

Is it up
That's why he acted like he wasn't that interested in them so he would make sure he was going to take that box home for a very good price.
I have that little sewing machine in its box. My mother gave it to me when I was very young. I wanted to learn to sew but she was afraid to let me sew on her treadle machine. Very nice items. Also nice they knew your Dad❤
Heartwarming going through the records-- wow😢
The BEATLEMANIA LP is very nice -sealed and original it's over $1000. I actually got a copy about 2 months ago from a retired Canadian here in London

My first car, Honda Civic. So much fun!! So many memories!!
Alex, so neat about finding the very same records that your dad would have picked. I know that must have given you some warm fuzzies.
The hand cranked child’s sewing machine makes a chain stitch (no bobbin), which is really easy to learn with.
The sports car cards are Arcade Cards...have had the machine for them that they were vended from for 5 cents each. The printer's drawers with thos divisions are technically for linotype, the lead slivers which had the letters on one end.
Dutch beer mats from around 1970s-1980 Amstel bier (beer) an affiliate brand of Heineken.
You have such an interesting life. A lot of fun too. Lucky guy.

Love the jeep with the deer
Reminds me of a similar item, the mounted trout that sings "take me to the river, put me in the water..."
My former FIL used to ice skate with Sonja Henning back in the’40’s.
My mother loved her movies! Said she was like a doll! ⛸⛸
In the late 50s and early 60s if you wrote a fan letter to a TV star, you got back a postcard with their picture on one side.
Great score! Fun video! Very cool about the LPs your Dad almost got.
Kermit and the skateboard was one of my favorite toys that my kids had.
Those McDonald toys are phenomenal! So nostalgic l.
Abigail must have loved going through all the buttons!! They seem to be her style! Funny, they were mine too being teen in the 70's and early 80's!!!❤❤❤
When I was a child my favorite thing to do when I visited my grandmother was play in her button box. I can still remember the smell from those old buttons. lol
Awesomeness. Love those pins.
You got some really interesting things! Good haul
What lovely folks. Really enjoyed the pix of this pick!
I remember those McDonald's toys. I miss the "characters" they used to promote the fast food restaurant.
Happy Meals (McDonalds TM) did not come with Big Mac. But that was a heck of stash of kids toys!
I like that promo battery radio.
As to the McCalls magazines

I loved those!

Hello from PA
Those printers letter box’s are great as keepsake holders. We traveled a bit in our RV and each place we went I would find something small, just out of the blue and I’d put it in one of the little spaces. I hung it on our wall in the RV and we had so many little mementos when we parked it. I would hot glue them in place so they’d stay put while going down the road. This couple really has wonderful things to look though. Everything would tempt me to take it home. ✌🏻🤍🤞
A lot of interesting items and a nice couple even if they didn’t want their faces shown, which I understand. Thanks, Yvette
3:05 Now THAT's a cool toy car!! Absolutely LOVE it! 😁
Great finds great fun!! 😊😊😊
Have a good day!
Alex: this is from my era!
Woman: yeah, it's pretty old
😂😂😂
Fun stuff 😊
The Cutlass car ephemra was my favorite mine was 1986 with rally rims/tires..🤗🎉 I loved that car and they're very desirable..😍😮 Nice group of items for your upcoming auction.. Take care Alex..👍❤🔥🤙
Here in my country (Slovenia) we got McD's in 1993.
Alex my special love. You are the antique version of the past. I’m glad you were able to fulfill your Dad’s dream of buying a box full of records. There is a special place in my heart for you. Thank you so much for taking us along on your buying trip. Until next time. Please, take care and stay safe. I love you.🍺👍🕊🇺🇸🌞❤️🌹🌈🙏😇
the eerie thrills of sky diving - not sure what's so "eerie" about it... the old tech maybe as viewed from today
Hi Alex & Melissa! hopefully you're days are going well! Lynne from Texas...
You really picked up some meat stuff. Love all the old magazines and toys. Will have to watch the auction.
I had the same Cavalier in the brochure...when I bought it ..I got a trip to New Orleans..it paid for the hotel room for 2 days in a nice hotel in the center of Bourbon St.😊😊
Also ❤ seeing the coffee cups from the LV casinos that have closed.
In the jungle with Red Guerillas? Drugs on the Campus? Papers had different topics back then. Even Pall Mall (which is a cigarette brand) had their own paper
I wish the hosts would have consented to appear in the video. They sounded so likable!!!
Curious, why aren’t you using your new building in the back for sorting?

I’ve been to an event at the Ryman as well as having gone to Opryland many times.
Lovely to do this today😊, Huggicates 😊

What happened to building out back that was going to be your sorting area?
Thanks Alex!
Great haul !!! Did I miss something ? I thought the house by the pool was also made for sorting your treasures lol?
I thought you were going to use your pool house for sorting treasures that you purchase ?
I love the hunters. My husband hunts and we are in Sweet Home Alabama ❤️. Do you still have it? I'd love to buy it.
Why are you in the Garage and not in the sorting room out back?
hello from Wetumpka Alabama!

I spy McDonalds Furskin Bears from the 80s ❤
the sands casino has been tore down
$75, $100 on Beatlemania LP
Hunter S Thompson: Fear and loathing in Las Vegas.
I like the way you get real excited over the postcards but act like you had no interest in the Buddy Holly LPs knowing they are worth the most in that LP box.
I wonder if any of your subscribers from Edmonton recognised themselves/relatives from the school photo.
Is it still cold ❄ up there? Love your videos my friend.

You Tube never puts your videos on my feed anymore. I have it set to all.

Just think kids, in 30 years all this crap stored in boxes for decades never looked at, never enjoyed, never used could be yours !
Great video
I deal in pins alot . Some of those go for fifty to 100 bucks each.
What about the star wars figures? Did you get a jawa? They are 8000
