- In honor of the passing of Dame Edna Everage (aka: Barry Humphries) today...I decided to dig into the vault and bring out Dame Edna's rendition of "Losing My Mind" from Stephen Sondheim's 75th Birthday Concert at the New Amsterdam Theatre (March 21, 2005). You mean thank (or curse) me later...
Epic, 2 giants are missed by the world!
The unquestionable highlight of that evening.
Rip Barry humpries aka dame edna you will be missed 😢
That was a brilliant evening..loved attending that performance.
Whoever you are, I love you❤
thank you for this - what a treasure
It was Bruce Kimmel who invited Dame Edna to sing this song (with Sondheim's blessing) and first recorded it.
Barry's mother said that she did not know where he came from. Born comic and entertainer.
Fabulous, thanks for sharing ❤
THANKS!!!!!!
Thank you for this... ❤
Even the hilarious Dame Edna couldn't ruin this classic "Losing My Mind" Sondheim classic song!

It can't be a coincidence that she wore this the same year as Kylie's Showgirl Tour.
Butterfly and my mother became close friends and would laugh together for hours. She wrote my mother many lovely letters
Hilarious! 🧡❣🧡
Gee, I wonder whose idea for the Dame to do this song was - way back in 2000 on The Stephen Sondheim Album.
It can’t have been that long ago….sigh.
