I do believe crowdsourcing track has its place, but in this track it takes away from the main gimmick of anti speed check. Especially at the beginning, people can get confused whether the gate closes due to them speeding or something else entirely. It's also time taken away from people mastering the main gimmick and improving their time, because they have to dedicate the first part just to find the correct combination. (I feel like people are more outspoken about the blocked path is because the video is from twoface POV, so everytime he hits a blocked path we felt the secondhand frustration.)
I agree, if the main thing is a gimmick don't add other gimmicks in it as well. Focus on the main aspect and maybe build around that, like having to speed to get in front of a train but then having to slow down again for the popo's.
Beautiful track! Always awesome to see that forgotten button required... yes, the brake button. Also huge thanks to Two-Face for having a backup recording!
@@codewaltgaming What'd be rather funny is using a setup that lets you randomize what doors are open and closed. Say all 3 are open for one setup, then any 2, then any single, and lastly if you're feeling evil a case for all are closed. Not sure how to do this with zeepkist's logic though. O_o
I really think this is IoI's better logic work. Also, just had an idea where you have a 'skill route' and a 'noob route'. For the noob route, you have these same speed checks and for the skill route you have the opposite with a mandatory speed (if you go slower you get spiked). It would really make for an interesting concept and would help to even out the times for each route without needing to trouble shoot nearly as much 😊
The anti-speed check is very neat, but the "guess the door" stuff just annoys me (I doubt I'm the only one). I think it would be a much better map that people might even play on their own time without that aspect.
Finally a braking track! I always wonder if there is a way to naturally incentivize people to use brakes without resorting to harsh consequences such as this. One can finish the track full speed, but the best racing lines and the fastest times can only be achieved through braking.
I don't know whether this has been done- but as a non-player I'm wondering if its practical to make a map where all the propulsion comes from hammers rather than boosters (by placing hammers at right angles to the track so if you time it right they strike the back of your vehicle)
Quite like this one. Took me way too long to realize I was watching TwoFace though (even though it was mentioned) >.< Side note: Really nice group in this session!
Why did it take me until I saw Codewalt drive by at 6:45 to realize that it was indeed TwoFace driving and not Codewalt 😅 (Disclaimer, I did skip the firsy part of the video. Sorry!😶🌫)
While this may not exactly have been the best of Twoface driving, I do think it is more interesting to see it driven from the perspective of a non-creator. I would love if you just in general always swapped footage/what track each person showcased everytime.
Very cool concept. I probably would have got a time first try because I'm just slow... Might not have even known there were spikes until this vid... lol
What about having a track that can't be completed at full speed, but slowing down at different places will cause you to end up in different new tracks of various lengths?
pretty cool idea. i wonder if you made a track where you can go on the "highway" around a mountain or through a tunnel but with slower speed (speed check). and in the tunnel you have to go past cars and weave through trafic. where as on the high way there are jumps and stuff because it's under contruction. i know it would be hard to make but i would look so cool.
@@ApolloSevan 100% but at least we have this instead of just watching the main menu the whole time 😭 next week's videos won't be like this, as I have already corrected the issue
TFW you're trying to optimize your time the whole track lol. I did warn him my runs weren't good when I sent them, but like he said, better than nothing... I'm the only person that records the whole session 🤷♂️
I agree, that run is pretty close to fully optimized, however since my update to the track removing the choose a path, the route might allow for almost a second
@maurer3d maki made a good one, I will talk to them how they did it... Because they make a track with 16 different paths, all randomly selected routes with active gates

why would you block off some paths? It just makes it seem like it’s part of the speeding gimmick and confuses everyone
