For anyone else in mid to late twenties getting back into skateboarding, you’re gonna pick up wherever u left off when you were 15 and then you’ll start progressing slow but it’s soooo worth it. Just being able to Ollie comfortably onto and over stuff is so nice. Awesome vid!
I’m 29 just getting back into it skated from like 12-18, and I basically picked up where I left off, I can tre flip and do most of my flip tricks but my balance on the board is so off I don’t even like doing simple things yet like Ollie over a hip or anything like that and most shit is scary to me lol
29 here just started again after like 12 years and im basically starting from ground zero i lost everything i guess getting hit by a truck and breaking my legs screwed me lol
27 now, recently picked it up again. Feels a lot more fun, yet scarier than I remembered. This time I won't bomb hills anymore after my trip to the A&E warned me lol. Stay safe and have fun 👍🏼
I remember always watching your videos in middle school, and after a while, I finally decided to start skating since your videos made me want to skate. By the end of 2022, I got my first board but I hadn't skated much as I intended because I was scared and alone, so I kept playing skate games and watching your videos. Then, by the start of 2023, I got more into it and finally started skating. I got hella comfortable on my bored and even managed to get my first ollie and an accidental heelflip in a game of skate XD. Sadly, at the end of 2023, I kinda had a burnout due to all the snow and the loss of my skate friends. Now, I'm finally getting back into skating, but alone this time, since your videos have been pushing me toward back into the thing I love the most (skateboarding). You have honestly had a big impact on me in skating and you are 100% someone I look up to.
ive been skatboarding for almost a year, and watching ur videos totally helped me, u make it understanable, cuz most skaters get into very very technical stuff, and it makes scene when u talk about it, thanks man u changed my skating game! (i just broke my first skateboard last night, so im going to be taking a long break till i can afford a new deck haha)
I absolutely loved this video from you my dude. I just turned 29 and got back into skating. I related with you a lot. I used to skate as a kid had a lot of really decent tricks down. Now coming back I’ve lost everything. As you said I can ride I can even do some transition now and I’ve never done that. But it really is crazy how it’s not like riding a bike. My goal this year is to get my tricks back.
Next Friday I will turn 30 years old. I started skating again last year for the first time since I was a teen but haven’t kept up with it as consistently as I want to. Hoping to get back on my board and stay motivated to ride all the way through my 30’s!!!!
I been skating since last march (2023) and so far the only trick I can do is an ollie but its been so fun just going out and skating. recently i've taken a 2 week long break and im trying to go back skating again this weekend to finally start learning to do ollies off and on things, pop shuvs, etc. You really convinced me to get a skateboard and I'm glad you did bro thx!
Wassup bro I just wanna let u know u inspire me so keep goin bro I believe in u also u inspired me to pick the skate board up and finally Learn me and my cousin learned how to ride the rip stick when we were younger but I was angry with myself for never learning how to ride the skateboard but you’ve inspired me been taking my board every where literally just started like 2 weeks ago and u made your way to my top 3 skaters
seems to be the story for a lot of people. they skate, scoot, bike, or whatever it be as kids but then grow out of it only to come back to it later on in life. back then i rode scooters, bikes, i skated a little, whatever i could get my hands on nearly every day at the skatepark. mainly because i wanted to look cool but it was also a social circle. now as an adult 6 years later i bought a board for the self improvement. i have a totally different respect for it now; less about looking cool and more about wanting a way to excel at something by pushing myself. its like a precise martial art, i've heard people call it an art of the body. its also a way to be more relatable with a community of people. other people who skate know the struggle and its a good way to naturally bond.
banger video as always mr. wavy, could you maybe do a vid or short on the best skate fits you have? especially pants, i need to find some cheap baggy pants...
I've been skating for 3 years and I only have a few tricks, I've dealt with a lot of ankle injuries which has also kept me Away from skateboarding, besides where I live there are not many places where I can skate and the few that there are are very far away and I don't have a vehicle but I have still managed to continue skating Even if it's just this, it demotivates me a lot since I don't have friends to skate with. Oh, the acquaintances who skate leave very late, even in the early morning, oh, very late at night.
Ive been skating since last summer, I‘m surprised how far ive come, I can do a couple of freestyle tricks and footwork, as for my street tricks I can do an ollie, frontside 180, backside 180, shuvit, frontside shuvit, boneless, and boneless 180, Im now currently working on the kickflip!
I've been skateboarding for about 11-10 months but have been actually trying for 7-8 months and I've learned tre-flips backside-flips big-spin flips i used to have consistent half-cab heels backside heels and that's just flat-ground I'm decent at rails and ledges and transition
Hey young wavy I recently bought race reds 2 weeks back and I’m disappointed is it supposed not spin long I bought it from skate warehouse does it need to break in more? Also ive been trying to kick flip and I can get the spin but I can’t land my front foot on my board have any tips?
We are all loving the consistency and quality from you/ HELP and advice makes me want to go and keep skateboarding, It’s not easy some days whatsoever but I feel like you have tips along with good Content actually across platforms I just do/ Have enjoyed TH-cam for such a long time, and you seem To be an amazing teacher or would love to see you even become a skateboard COACH!! !!! ❤❤🥹😎🖤🛹
i first started skating at like 14 for a summer i didnt really learn much then i picked up bmx and scooters and now i started skating again and i learned shuvs and ollies just this week. what do we think?
This inspires me because I have been thinking about giving up because I feel like I can't learn anything I've been practicing the Ollie but I can't get it and I don't know why I think it's because my board isn't going high enough so I don't have time to slide my front foot can you help me please
Yo challenging you all to skate trivia videos on my channel where you have to identify the skater based on a clip from their video part. Think you can tell a skater's style from a 5 second clip?
how long have you been skateboarding?
Just learning so i started a month ago
Bout two to three years but this year im taking it seriously yk?
10 months
2 days! I landed a couple ollies on grass today, then took it to pavement... nearly hit my head on a planter
