    Ive picked the accordion up again after 30 years. I started to learn at 6 and did till 14. At the moment my focus is the basics doing simple finger exercises left hand so basically 4th finger for 1 then 3rd finger for 3 and repeat. Then on right then on right hand going up and down the keys starting at c . So fings 123 then thumb goes under 3rd finger and keep going to bottom and back then up doing 3rd finger over thumb. Basic stuff the aim is to simply retrain the fingers. My thinking is master the basics then the harder fancy stuff i will have the skills

    Thanks Vasyl! Some great exercises here. Do you think you could do some slower fingering examples before you start each exercise? As a beginner it is difficult to follow so quickly without first seeing and hearing it done slower - Thanks! 🙂

    Hay there. I want to learn how to play accordion so much. I don't know anything and don't have money, but I have desperately strong wish. I am from Serbia and here you are legend if you know how to play accordion. Especialy folk music.

    Thx, I recently started with warm up exercises, after 40y playing around without. Definitely feel a difference after some weeks, although I still struggle being systematical... Doing quality is a good point, unfortunately I can hear now much better my mistakes. Maybe you could suggest some exercises for the left hand, left-right synchronicity. Maybe his Excellency also explains how his left hand stays so relaxed regardless of bellow position...

    • @vasylbendas

      Good to hear about the progress!
      I guess I will prepare some video with exercises for the left hand. So stay tuned ^)

    • @ucfbmlp

      2 weeks recap. I'v been playing the suggested exercises every day for at least an hour. I feel a difference in precision and control of my fingers, particularly 3,4 and 5th. Playing after the warm up is definitely more fluid and I see more efficient opportunities of finger placement, so I'm faster and more precise. Downside is, my arms are sore, apparently I use now muscles that I neglected before. However, this forces me to play more consciously of my arm position, which I guess is good. So I keep on trying. Thanks again for the exercises!

    • @vasylbendas

      Wow! Happy to hear about the progress!
      About the sore, I have the same while practicing piano (the keyboard is harder to play on) and I do 1 min brakes when I feel uncomfortable.
      Good luck!

    • @ucfbmlp

      huhhh, it's already 4 weeks?? I start to loose track of time, miss things - like to eat, my train, physio therapy. Accentuation limits my speed, its like I reached a plateau of physical limitation, mainly do finger changes and the chromatic repetitions from th-cam.com/video/dC5OC7knb_E/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=VasylBendas
      I enjoy playing after warm ups, really makes a difference. thx again

      @@vasylbendas Good idea. I’ll try that. I’m sure it will help. And, again, perhaps in the future for beginners, start with really showing very clearly and slowly the use of the fingers. Just to get us going. Otherwise, I love your way of teaching. Thank you!

    Hi Vasyl. Thank you for this. I started a year ago but my progress is really slow and I get a bit frustrated when learning new music. But I love these exercises as I think they are what I need if I aspire to play folk music by ear (one day). But you play them quite fast so I couldn’t follow. Do you have them written down somewhere?

      Thanks for watching. I am happy to help 🤗
      Below the videos (where I play folk) you can find a link to the shop with the scores. But keep in mind that they are pretty hard to learn and also it’s not easy at all to read those scores.

      For the free bass system it's easier, there are a lot of different exercices. But for the stradella bass I would reccomend to play scales (major and minor).
      Maybe later will record some tutorial about that.
