They have been letting some Hallelujah reactions through. Its RCA, not Pentatonix, that block some things. They did an amazing live video of Hallelujah on their Christmas Special! They received high praise for the fact that it was live and as amazing as the Official Video. Pentatonix released an Official Video from that Live performance and reactors have been reacting to that one. It's easy to find at PTX Official because it says Official Video "Hallelujah LIVE..." and Scott is in the main Frame of the cover pic dressed in Black. The background appears to be black as well. It's easy to differentiate from the mostly gray cover of the copywrite protected one. The rules are, so far, you can't react to anything on the first Christmas Album. I know others will fill in information about the ones I didn't know about. Yes, sadly, Avi announced that he was leaving the group because the pace is too fast and he needs down time, and to be with family. more. It's still raw, and hard to discuss. It might be Todrick Hall, but 95% of the video is Pentatonix. It's a creative telling of the Wizard of Oz with a mash-up of all kinds of pop culture songs.
Welcome to you, new Pentaholics. It's inevitable lol. A couple of suggestions. Everything everyone else suggests ... yeah. When there is a copyright issue, a lot of PTX reactors will do a countdown and record their reaction without sound from the video. Viewers then watch your reaction while listening to the original. It's much better than cutting it into pieces. I think the Superfruit requests are starting as well. Superfruit is Scott (tall blond with the amazing riffs and runs) and Mitch (baby angel-voiced diva \ boy princess \ kaween - Mitch, we LOVE you - with the 5-octave range). Prepare to be blown away when you hear those. Also, there are two types of Superfruit videos on one channel ... the music and the hilarity. Occasionally, both together .. Hip Hop Goes Broadway 1 and 2, for example. Some of the best Superfruit music ones are the Empire and Beyonce medleys. Beyonce even called them flawless in a tweet after the Beyonce medley. Avi is the bass ... he is "stepping back" from PTX. There's a video, and the whole group supports him. Kevin is the future POTUS, mandarin-speaker, Yale grad, cello-playing beatbox master who has developed an amazing singing voice as well. And Kirstie is ... well ... gorgeous, versatile, sweet ... and also sings like an angel. Scott, Mitch, and Kirstie have known each other since before high school. Watch the 3rd season of The Sing Off for more background. It's probably not a spoiler to say they won.

I saw that you are reacting to the Sing Off episodes. Did you know that they only met together in person two days before the audition? I love all of their performances from Sing Off, but I think my favorite is Dog Days Are Over. I think it is the 12th episode. Could you please react to that one?
Avi said he left due to the difficulty he has had in keeping up with the touring schedule. They work non stop. During his off time, he does a lot of work with schools and universities. I went on a binge watch of their programs, videos, interviews. In doing so, it was easy to see that in 2016, Avi just did not have his same joy and abandon on stage. He seemed to have withdrawn some. He was always a great performer and gave solid performances, but the difference was evident. I watched the program he did with his new band and you could easily see that he was more comfortable in that setting and had incredible excitement in singing the folk music. I cannot imagine the stress of his decision. I am not sure how many could walk away from a Grammy winning group with sold out world tours. As much as I will miss his voice in PTX, I am happy he made a decision that is best for his mental health. I wish them all the best. They are searching (probably already have found) a new bass. If it is the person speculated to be on line, the group will continue to do well. I hope fans are kind and will avoid the "He is better than Avi or does not equal Avi." Realistically, the group will evolve. I wish PTX and Avi all the best. Avi can concentrate on the things he loves--folk music, the A Capella Academy, and his work/life balance.
You should react to some of the Superfruit music videos and medleys, that's Scott and Mitch's side project. They are so amazing together. Their Beyoncé Medley and their Rihanna Anti Medley. You will love them!

Over the July 4th long weekend (in the U.S.), they played 3 concerts at the Hollywood Bowl and performed their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody live. Also, if you are interested in how PTX got started, you should check out their performances on the a cappella singing competition show, The Sing-Off in 2011. Yes Avi has announced his departure and will be leaving after they complete the announced tour dates. They are looking for a new bass. Its a touchy subject in the Pentaholic family, many are not over it yet, myself included, and probably will never be. I guess that's why I never mentioned it in my previous comments. His solo debut EP titled "Sage and Stone" is out though and it is just Beautiful.!!
