  • Inspired by one of my favorite artists, Dan Lam, I attempted to make one of her famous drip sculptures. It turned out to be irresistibly squishy. Can't stop POKING 👉👉👉!!

    Ha! I saved this video and I’m watching it again 2 years later. I’m loving the intro 🤣👏🏼🩷 Just looking back at how messed up everything was for such a long time starting in 2020. 🤦🏼‍♀️ And the fact you have a better coat 🤣 I sincerely hope that heated blanket arrived before summer! Ohhh the back orders…. It took about a year to get a 2 parts for our car. The parts had to come from Germany… note to self…. Never get another VW. Love the art BTW; after all, that’s why I’m here 😬🩷

    Thank you for taking this on! I love Dan Lam & have wanted to try this but could not figure out what was used in the sculptures. And you’re right about resin, it’s temperamental

    (Using capital letters because I did the same thing at your age AND...got Scary heart thumps a day later from urethane fumes / scary heart pains from sleeping next to silicone/ and scary Scary neurogical problems from sleeping across the room liquid-nails which turned in to weakness travelling around the body, heart acting crazy, faintness, brainfog, arm turning into numb rubber while sleeping from blood not circulating, not being able to StanD for 11 days, blood taste in the mouth, etc.etc.etc.etc. ...craziness
    (it took YEARS to get better)

    So amazing!! Is the resin to set it in the end? Also what exactly does the latex step do? Thanks for the amazing video!

    • @lesliepodell1969
      @lesliepodell1969 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes what is the latex step. Are you adding. To the foam or are you painting with it?

    • @daltonjackson8197
      @daltonjackson8197 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lesliepodell1969 pour/rub latex over the foam. i believe its to seal it and make it smoother/keep the paint from soaking into the foam too much.

  • @yuliayane6928
    @yuliayane6928 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you so much for this video ,Is the latex really necessary?

    • @daltonjackson8197
      @daltonjackson8197 ปีที่แล้ว

      i did it without the latex and its not completely necessary. but im sure there is some benefits to it considering dan lam uses it and spends so much $ on it for her art

    What was the purpose of latex after foam?

  • @amhytravel

    Hi Im from Norway, wanted to give you some dressing tips for the winter. Hopefully you'll have a nicer winter this year - but in cause not... I have to say you dress all wrong! The first thing to make sure you do is cover up the inner layer with wool, i prefere merino woll since its soft and not itchy, i usually go for a blend 80/20 here. Then when you have gotten the woll layer on you dress like normal. For the outside garments you will either need to go for fur (when it really cold this is the best), or a wollen coat - or at least something windproof. Make sure you can close all your jackets! Thats more important than three scarf! :) Good luck!

    Are you going to get in big trouble for making fraudulent art that copies an art work by Dan Lam?

    • @danielbeecher4564
      @danielbeecher4564 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You're allowed to copy art. If you wanna paint the Mona Lisa, nobody's gonna stop you. The difference is you're not DaVinci, in the same way the woman who posted this isn't Dan Lam. Dan Lam is the progenitor of this style as far as we know and the one getting notoriety. If you can do what she does better, then you'll be the face of this art style.
