With Stage 1 here it’s a good chance to get used to this game's mechanical differences from Touhou and differences from other Len’en games as well. Your goal is still to collect as many (P) as you can to get to max power ASAP, but it’s important to remember here you pretty much don’t want to go up to the Point of Collection here to do it. The bar’s higher than in Touhou and you don’t get additional points for collecting point items high up anyways.
As a mid-boss Sese’s not too bad, really she’s more of a warning to the weirdness of dealing with her bone bullets.
Similarly as a boss the toughest parts of her are her bone attacks that are a bit tough to see the exact edge of at a first glance. But once you get past that she’s fine relying on smaller bullets more often than not.
Difficulty - Normal
Team - Shrine Team: Tsubakura Enraku & Yabusame Houlen
Stage 1 - Shrine Road Where Nothing Piles Up - Snow
BGM - Decayed Tranquility ~ Be Motivated
Boss - A Corpse in Search of Themself: Sese Kitsugai

Tsubakura gives no fucks, and that's amazing. Quite the conflicting personalities these two have.
How these two get along so well and for so long is a complete mystery to me
I think Tsubakura just has a surprising amount of patience. Eventually she will crack.

Oh, I never knew RMI got a translation patch! Gotta try the game again sometime later, it was my first Len'en game, and I had fun although I was confused af seeing things go so fast the first time around @_@

Overall I gotta say I really like Sese's fight, from the music to the spellcards. Speaking of which, a funny observation: That spellcard at the 9:00 mark look familiar? As you go up difficulties, It'll resemble Border of Wave and Particle more and more faithfully.
Also, something else I found interesting is that the Stage 5 boss was originally supposed to be the final boss, but got relegated at some point.
I'm actually glad you weren't able to show off the last character, given how important of a role she plays in BPoHC.

Wow. Not even one main boss spell card into the game and we already have a Border of Wave and Particle tossed at us. That's saying something about the difficulty here if a neutered BoWaP is literally the first actual non-midboss spell card we see.
AFAIK, Saragimaru's flash bomb will go in a way that it clear the most bullet. So, if you flash bomb after the boss fire a wave of bullets, the flash bomb will go through the boss and does while a lot of damage.

Hm...Yabusame is like if Yuyuko is possessing Yukari ‘s ability, while Tsubakura is like Reimu actually learn from Marisa ‘s tech but in a “technically “ right way for laziness.

personally I get more of a Ten Desires vibe from this game. Maybe its the soul system. Though PCB vibes are certainly here as well.
Ahhhh I love this game. Easily my personal favorite len'en game.

My version asks basic or light mode... which do I pick
Ah yes, JynX did update the game recently. Basic mode is essentially what you see here, whereas Light Mode is a might easier mode of gameplay for beginners.
İf you want replay you must choose basic level. İf you want %100 win select light mode.
Basic level Features is:
3 initial lives
İnitial power is 0
Replays can be save.
Light level Features:
9 initial lives.
İnitial power is 2.50
İTEMS ARE DOUBLE YESSSS.
But replays doesn't save NNOOOO.
Note: if you disabled character swapping you can't register your score Nnoooo.

By the way, I believe the translation patch is not for 1.10a so when it modifies game.led it might make a mess of things. Also should be noted, the trailing character gains double power from items, so it might be an idea to forfeit power to your main character and then FB out. Also also, don't all flash bombs give invincibility frames, including Lost Torus?

Well the thing is the guys behind the patch on the Len'en Discord gave me what's currently done of the 1.10 patch, however with that weird glitch going on I sadly couldn't play the main game with it.

Okay, yeah... After suffering through EMS, I'm still not THAT big of a fan of Len'en's ~gameplay~ shooty fairy squads (Touhou spoiled me way too much) and I'm just like "Please, no more squads that come from the bottom, PLEASE JINX!!! ;_;"
Also, is this the game that has the Ex+Alpha stage?
Yup, this is when JynX first introduced the EX+alpha stage at the end of the Extra Stage
