I think this dates back to the late 60s. All the actors had matured significantly when Alif Noon was re-televised in the early 70s. The appearance of Athar Shah Khan comes as a surprise. He was very different in Mr. Jaidi aired in 1975/76. Thanks for the upload. Very rare episode, indeed.

As I my memory tells me that perhaps I used to watch this drama serial during 1969 to 1971 when I was only 7 or 8 years old kid. In 1972 we shifted to Multan so I have no idea of 1972 as there was no tv station there at that time. But must praise the person who uploaded this classic drama serial as this bring back some beautiful memories of my childood.

Alif Noon was first released in 1965 (in black & white) with probably 54 episodes. This was season 1. The season 2 was later released in 1982 in colored. This specific episode is from season 1. This is not from 1965 -- it is from the Bhutto era. This content would have been impermissible in the Ayub era. Besides, the first television station in Pakistan went on air in 1964.

There were no recording facilities in PTV before early 1970s, this recorded black and white version of Alif Noon has to be from early 1970s at best. It was certainly not from 1965 due to complete absence of recording facilities as everything was telecast literally LIVE on PTV throughout 1960s until recording facilities were acquired in early 70s. Wikipedia is wrong Alif Noon was re-created not just once in 1981 but multiple time even in black and white era of 1970s.
