When Niftski said his hands are going to start "sweating like a faucet", an ad came on for some high-tech water bottle that lights up to remind you when to drink water so you stay hydrated.
i use chalk/magnesium powder on deadlifts and pullups because i get sweaty hands too maybe it's time for gamers to join the pro sports club and chalk up for grip strength
9:18 It is so funny that you have to assure the chat that you know where a poison mushroom is on this level after playing through it hundreds of times. There aren't many things in a Super Mario level. It's like a pianist completing the best performance of a piece ever, and then afterward explaining to the audience "oh, btw, I know what the middle pedal does too."
I’d assume that it’s just the fire bar is big enough that on one frame it’s in front of Mario and the next frame it’s behind Mario, and it only checks collision every frame Which yes some games do check collision multiple times a frame
Can someone explain A-1 to me? I assume you walljump up in order to hit the vine, and doing so somehow allows you to set up the flag despawn later, but I don't really get it.
In smb1 and 2j things are a little different, in smb1, a vine uses 2 enemy slots, in 2j, it permanently uses 1 enemy slot(so it will load even offscreen) Now, if enough slots are in the ending screen, the flag won’t be able to spawn(bc of no slots), in most levels there aren’t enough objects Same as A-1, but since you hit the vine, it fills up the last slot needed for flag despawn
@@fishy4102 Oh thanks, that fully explains it. I knew how it worked in SMB1 probably from Kosmic's explanation, but that doesn't match what happened here so I was kind of lost. I guess this decision by the devs had the advantage of allowing more enemies on the same screen as a vine block but the disadvantage of causing problems if too many enemies were near the flagpole if someone made the vine spawn but then ignored it.
We all know this when he typed “FWR” in the last video

I never knew the firebar can be passed like that without taking damage.

Another insane run, common Niftski W

POV: you're at Wendy's and niftski is ordering what he wants
Fun fact: one of the runs that made it to D-4 died to hitting a piranha plan on what I assume was the last possible pixel of its hitbox

You or someone has so make a video on how that trick with the fire bar even works. It blew my mind
I'd also love to know

Boss.
Great
Dou gave Bowser the Finger? 🤣🤣🤣
Vey cool you planning to do world a-d warpless?
eventually
If you were able to include fpg in levels on this run could a sub 6 be possible?
unfortunately no, the best possible time is in the 6:0x range
@@Niftski Oh, well that is still a goal to shoot for.
@@Niftski Oh, well that is still a goal to shoot for.
alright
idk what to say
Niftski is so bored rn
Is there a way to get to worlds a-d without having to beat the game 8 times without using warps?
if you are playing on emulator there's a savestate you can get at www.speedrun.com/smbtll/resources that gives you the stars

correct, you have to hit the vine to occupy an enemy slot for the rest of the level and the only way to get up to that spot is with a walljump

why is there a walljump at the start?
you have to hit the vine to occupy an enemy slot for the rest of the level and the only way to get up to that spot is with a walljump
so u can skip world c? how does that work?
yeah, there’s a warpzone in B-4
