This is a stand-alone film. It has no relation to Bhool Bhuliyaa-1. It is perfect combination of horror and comedy element. It is a perfect family entertainer.
Just finished watching Bhool Bhulaiya 1. Huge fan! Vidya Balan’s psychotic dance “Ami je Tomar” and the possessed character of Manjulika at the end still gives me goosebumps!!

2007 Bhool bhulaiyaa was more about mental health awareness than horror story yet very scary...it was full of realistic scenes not like chudail ke ulte pair.... Akshay Kumar character was Tremendous. A balanced mixture of cheer and wise psychiatrist!

This movie lacks the simplicity and the natural horror feel of the original. That's why first movie was classic. This one has lots of VFX,fake sets and all. It doesn't have that natural feel to it but looks good also. The way Priyadarshan makes a movie so natural,no one can beat that!

It's about time someone recognises the notion of forced comedy that runing bollywood movies these days. And people laugh their lungs out in theatre as if they are in love with the idea of comedy but at the same time have lost touch with the actual sense of comedy
The problem that I had with the trailer was the fact that in the original, there was no supernatural presence, it was the manifestation of a mental health disorder. The disembodied voice singing in Bengali, spooky events taking place in and around the palace, but not an actual ‘spirit’ or a ghostly spectral sighting, made it so much more scarier. And then, when you saw Vidya Balan as Manjulika, it freaked you out more than a conjuring type ghost ever could. In this trailer you can clearly see that they are going to introduce supernatural elements, which, in my opinion, is going to crash and burn

I agree with this 100% Unless this trailer and story is made to fool us and it become like a scooby doo episode where the ghost is not real and is in fact done by somone with a bunch of illusions in order to scare people away from the mansion for some unknown reason.

I would also like to add ,that 's not the only thing that's going to burn ,i think they should have kept same actors and continued same story from where it stopped ,cus when you already loved a story sudden change of actors is going to feel crazy also the original came out along time ago so when you see new actors but in the same songs it hurts in a way like feels different ,the acting also looks unmatched to the original plus its so obvious who are going to fall in love ,in the original one it was a secret no one was sure and boom at the very end they showed ''Radha '' with ''Adi '' idk it just feels crazy to me ,the new movie shows lot of modern effects but sadly horror movies look better with vintage look !
