    Michelle, this tutorial was fantastic. I made my first one and my family (who are the only ones that have seen it) were impressed and loved it. One question about the spinner though. I read your comment below that you have them on a machine inside to make them spin, but when they are outside after attaching the swivel what do you hang them with? Thanks!

    • @michellearnott718
      @michellearnott718  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @michellearnott718
      @michellearnott718  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Ruth, thank you so much! After foiling with copper foil, all the spinners were soldered and I left them the silver solder color. If any of them appear gold, it's just the way the video made them look. They are all actually silver. However, you CAN put a copper patina on them to turn them a copper color!

    • @michellearnott718
      @michellearnott718  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      At minute 31.41, I explain how to add the hook when the seam isn’t immediately where you need to have the hook. I run the wire around the entire top, starting into the seam about a half inch and ending in the seam across from it. I keep the wire flat against the tinned piece and solder it into it. If you look at the spinner that I am attaching the swivel to, try and stop the video to see I soldered the wire all around the top of the point where the loop is at the top, and the wire is soldered into both seams (for support) on both sides of the top point. Hope that helps!

    • @michellearnott718
      @michellearnott718  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the heart spinner, you make a circle with the wire just larger than the bead and solder the wire opening at the bottom of the bead into the seam. You can see the purple and clear heart spinner at beginning of video and how it hangs :)

    You need to include instructions on how to get them to spin once they are finished and hung. I made one following your instructions and it does not spin. In the beginning of your tutorial, you show several pieces spinning and I think you should mention how that is being accomplished. If your answer is that they spin because they are only produced by using the materials in my kit, you should mention this in the title. Something like: How to make stained glass spinner with my materials.

    • @michellearnott718
      @michellearnott718  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A spinner is often hung outdoors where wind can spin your spinner. I have mine attached to a battery powered cylinder (about $12/each on Amazon) that spins them indoors.
