This is a problem I currently have! We gave up on cleaning the urine stains from our dogs because it wouldn’t come out but now I have a strategy to follow to begin the fight once again. Thank you so much for this helpful video!
I did this and it removed the urinespot for 90% ! I did it a few times and left it longer than 30mins.. nothing worked , only this method. 100% honest! Thank you!
This worked 100%. I see it has stained carpets pink so not sure if this onoy works for a beige carpet as my carpet is the same color as in the video. For anyone with this color carpet, it works just as it does in the video. Its like magic! I almost WANT my dog to piss on the carpet now!
I'm looking at a carpet in a house that has several stains and hope this might work. But I think it would add up quickly if you had to do multiple steps with the enzymatic cleaner. Is it remotely possible that leaving it on longer instead of lifting it after 5 minutes might be an alternative? Or does leaving it on for longer than 5 minutes possibly cause other issues or does it render it in the fact of it it's on too long?
actually, i tried it anyway without vinegar, presuming that the urine (fresh overnight) had enough acid in it already to initiate a reaction 11% H2O2 after enzyme cleaner, 10 mins of a saucepan of boiling water on top of a clingfilm barrier and the remaining stain has disappeared bit early to say if any damage to the carpet but, i did test earlier on an old piece of similar carpet with very old wine stains and no damage so, optimistically, it looks as if it may be ok
I use ammonia because it is a base and has a high pH. Using an acid will not help accelerate the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. The combination of heat and high pH helps break down the stain. I don’t recommend using boiling water. Boiling water will break down the hydrogen peroxide really quickly and will really help with breaking down the stain, but it can also strip dyes from the carpet and cause damage to the carpet. I also recommend using 6% hydrogen peroxide. 11% is very strong and not really necessary for stain removal. Nice going though. Glad to hear you got the stain out 😃
Thank you so much. I've searched Hi and Lo trying to find the % of peroxide to use for pet stains. I purchased the gallon-sized 12% from Amazon and it's almost impossible to find out if it needs dilution, how much, etc. It seems to be a big secret!
Hey Jimmy, thank you so much for all your videos. They have helped me tremendously. I recently got this cleaner but wanted to ask a question, is it possible to put this in an upright carpet cleaner? I have several stains over about a 3’ x 5’ area and was wondering how it would be possible to tackle all of it. And is it better to use this method or the ammonia/6% hydrogen peroxide soaking method? Lastly, is there a way to remove the ammonia odor after I used the soaking method? I smell it when the sun hits the carpet throughout the day. Thanks again for all you do, I appreciate you.
Hi, you’re welcome. Thanks for your comment. Ammonia evaporates and completely turns to a gas. Once the carpet fully dries, there will be no ammonia odour. If you are concerned about urine odours, it is best to use the soaking method. If you are only trying to remove a urine stain, it is best to use this method. I wouldn’t use hydrogen peroxide in a carpet cleaning machine. Hydrogen peroxide needs time to break down stains and it is best used as shown in the video.
I just treated an old yellow urine stain on my beige carpet (previously treated with enzymes) and after using your method twice the spot remained. Interestingly, I noticed no ammonia smell so I checked the bottle I purchased through Amazon. The clear ammonia had almost no detectable odor of ammonia. I’m assuming this is why it’s not activating the H2O2. I just purchased another brand so I’m hoping this time it works. I will let you know. I would recommend avoiding the brand LA’s Totally Awesome Clear Ammonia. Very watered down. Fingers crossed it will work with the new ammonia.
No, I tried it with new very strong ammonia. Maybe it’s just very cheap carpet. Even areas where my cat has vomited that I treated immediately, there is a persistent yellow stain. Even if it’s wicking up after it dries, repeated treatments should remove the stain. I’m not sure why it works for others and not for me.
Everything seems to be okay so far ( I'm waiting for it to completely dry), but you always seem to have a lot of water and bubbles when you vacuum it up. I'm not getting that and I'm pretty sure I'm spraying a sufficient amount.
Hey Jimmy, I’m keen to try this as one of my cats coughs up hairballs regularly, and the other one pees on the carpet occasionally when stressed, so we have a few stains. I have 6% hydrogen peroxide and ammonia - do I need to dilute either of them in a spray bottle?
Anyone have any other enzyme cleaner recommendation instead of bacout? I was hoping to get a gallon jug but they don't sell it on Amazon in Canada and it's over 100$ from third party sellers.
My problem is more of the odor, not really stain. In that case, what steps should I take? I heard that using ammonia based product will cause dogs to mark more. I want to deter my dog from marking again on the same spots…
Damaged my carpet fibers during the agitation process. The damage is irreversible. Did some research, never scrub a carpet. Do not recommend scrubbing a carpet. Stain was removed, but sections of my carpet will now have to be replaced

Thanks for your comment! Let me know how it goes
@@TheStainGuide they never let you know how it went 😢
@@virelslol they will if it doesn't work.
How did it work?

Thanks so much for that process to remove urin stains. It worked on my brand new beige woolen carpet 😍

Hi - this looks wonderfully straight forward. Would a weak/diluted white vinegar be a suitable replacement for amonia?
actually, i tried it anyway without vinegar, presuming that the urine (fresh overnight) had enough acid in it already to initiate a reaction

Where do I get an enzyme? Brand? Anything else could work too?

For 12%, there are 12 grams of hydrogen peroxide per 100 ml of solution. If you want 6%, mix 100 ml of solution with 100 ml of water.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge about this. Do you think a steam cleaner & bonnet would just as well as the the pot of hot water?

Thank you for this! Does that work on woolen rugs? Thank you!!
I would like to know that too. At the moment I am trying to get out of urin stain in my brand beige new woolen carpet 🥴 Will let you know 😊
Yes it worked on the woolen carpet 😊

Thank you for this video! It took out some 9 year old carpet stains.

Does this work on wooden rugs?

can you use cloudy ammonia? Or must it be clear ammonia. thanks

Does this work with woolen carpets? Thanks
My dog urinates on my clutch only only side so I use my pet pro cleaner with the solution i also take my sofa outside to get sun

An enzymatic cleaner works to remove the odor. I've found success using Kids & Pets, and Nature's Miracle Urine Destroyer.
Amazing, thank you so much
Love love love this video!!! Really works!!!!
Does this work on dog bile? It’s yellow and won’t get out the carpet 😭
What is the enzyme cleaner used..i cant find it in the comments
Description…
Can't wait to try
how about puppy poop
Didn’t work just stained the carpet pink instead
Damaged my carpet fibers during the agitation process. The damage is irreversible. Did some research, never scrub a carpet. Do not recommend scrubbing a carpet.
Stain was removed, but sections of my carpet will now have to be replaced
That is not working, urine is very strong.
This method has ruined my carpet as it’s now gone a burnt pinkish and worse than the original stain😢
What a joke!!!! You out a filter at the end to make it look like the stain came out wtf
I’m not sure what you mean by a filter. Give it a try. It works.
There is so filter my grandma used it and it works.
Do u get paid to look like an asshole? Because you don't look smart
And it works you are just so dump/lazy to know how to apply a simple cleaning hack
What do you mean?
