I'm amazed at the sound engineers that balance 7 vocal mics with 10 singers, a string quartet, two guitars, bass, marimba, xylophone, two keyboards, a horn section, two percussionists, and accordion, and make it all sound good. REAL HEROES
I saw Brian Wilson & his band perform it nigh on 20yrs ago, never had this many singers tho & Brian performs it with commensurate ease. He'd be proud of this lot & good vibrations abound.
Damn !!! I just discovered these guys less than an hour ago and Im totally blown away. Their rendition of Sloop John B is incredible . This is the best "imitation" of the BB"s ever !!!
It would take a grand total of 17 sessions totaling 90 hours at four different studios for the Beach Boys to complete the recording, using 70 hours of tape, working from April through September. These guys have made a great job of this doing it live in one take.Brilliant.
There is a difference between compose and perform. Please read your history. Lastly when the original beach boys performed synthesizers weren’t even invented. For example, I don’t see anyone play the chromatic harmonica and where’s the Tannerman?
Totally agree! I would travel anywhere they were performing just to see them perform. GREAT COVER BAND! Really they are better than the original group that did this.
I'm 70 and a music lover all my life. In all of musical history two things stand out. The first time I heard Good Vibrations, and the first time I heard Dark Side of the Moon
Shout out to Mr. Herder. I cannot begin to imagine what you went through to get this and all the Fendertones videos performed and produced. Thank You for your work. Thanks to all the performers and support crew as well.
All of these comments ... are a testament to the extreme focus of The Fendertones - the only group who could actually duplicate what the Beach Boys did with exactitude.
I've heard a lot of groups trying to sing this song. A very difficult song by the BB's to cover. In my mind, only the Beach Boys could do this song justice since they were the originator of the song but this version is great. My hats off to The Fendertones. You pulled it off.
James Anderson, I would say shear dedication and devotion to recreating good music, Surly they cannot make any profit from these live shows due to the large number of people on the stage. I remember when this came out I couldn’t stop playing it on the juke box in my local coffee bar.
@@peternewman7353 This show was a charity show for funraising purposes. Nobody get paid anything. And they also don't tour either. They just make these videos for fun. It's a fun hobby for them.
It is great, but you can hear that the vocals are just not as smooth as the BBs. Really close, but these guys are great and it makes me appreciate the BS even more. All good.
I'm listening to this in 2013!!! I'm a huge BB's fan, have been since I heard them back in the mid '60's, and I've never heard anyone else do such great cover versions of their music.🙂🙂
I have to tell you guys, not only are you all amazing but I think you all are also so awesome to keep the music of the beach boys alive and believe me I know it's not easy to do what you guys are doing! That is amazing talent right there. I am stoked!!!! You guys are a fucking blessing! Swear it! Thanks for all your heard work, can't wait to see you guys in concert someday, I want tickets for met life stadium in New Jersey! LOVE you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a Beatles fan, here in Britain, I heard Good Vibrations in 1966. It was the greatest song of the 60s & years later Britain voted it thus. Beating the Beatles takes some doing but you darn done it.

Great cover band on Beach Boys...makes you realize what a genius Brian is and how what sounds so simple is quite complex requiring many musicians and voices to reproduce. All your covers are faithfull to the originals. The best on youtube.....Great job Fendertones.Excellent!!!!
Willie Finn For their albums, the Wrecking Crew (a legendary group of studio musicians who did most of Phil Spector's Wall of Sound background work)assisted to get that full sound.
I truly thought this song was one of the few that it would be IMPOSSIBLE to do a faithful cover. This is an amazing, nuanced, and truly spectacular cover. I hope you win the WC covers contest!!!
Can't get enough of this !!! thanx Edwin .... Been too long.... and my cello is anxious to get played once more !!!! How about a Super Fendertones Tour in FRANCE ?????? Everyone can stay at my place !!!!!!!! and let's play at Chambord or something !!!!
The Fendertones are a revelation of just how many multi track layers the Beach Boys had to perform and Brian Wilson had to arrange in order to produce their music on record. Here you can see it all at the same time live.
Oh pleeeeeease! Give credit where it is due. They deserve no negative comments. They are a bunch of guys having fun, not trying to win any awards, just playing for the fun of it.
Besides the excellent job done by the boys--how awesome is this stage? Complete with the diner look and Coke cooler---Well done boys--please regroup and come back in 2023
It is a real Theramin. Ours was built by our keyboard player and his brother. It was as thoroughly researched as possible, and is as close to the original, built by Bob Whitsell for Paul Tanner, as they could make it. Working from photos of Paul Tanner with his, and gathering other information from people involved in building the first ones, they tried to duplicate the size and construction of the original. The only thing they couldn't find were the actual components used in the pulley system.
Renee Pena , What a horrid comment. Brian Wilson is one of the best composers of any time. Most extremely successful people of that time had their battle with demons, who are you to judge?
Amazing! the best Beach Boys cover band on the planet!
You know, when you hear this, one begins to realize just how much talent those Beach boys really had, and Brian Wilson's songwriting skills
I'm amazed at the sound engineers that balance 7 vocal mics with 10 singers, a string quartet, two guitars, bass, marimba, xylophone, two keyboards, a horn section, two percussionists, and accordion, and make it all sound good. REAL HEROES
Yes, almost as good as Brian Wilson by himself.
I saw Brian Wilson & his band perform it nigh on 20yrs ago, never had this many singers tho & Brian performs it with commensurate ease. He'd be proud of this lot & good vibrations abound.
Don't forget the drawbar organ.
Generally everyone in the Brian Wilson band plays multiple instruments, as well as sings.
Don't forget the theramin!
America is still alive peddle to metal
Damn !!! I just discovered these guys less than an hour ago and Im totally blown away. Their rendition of Sloop John B is incredible . This is the best "imitation" of the BB"s ever !!!
And, they’re meticulous--hit every note, every instrument no matter how subtle.
Same here. Just found this and Sloop John. Never thought anybody could do this live. Incredible! Would love to see the Fendertones. Inspiring.
Close your eyes and you think this is actually the Beach Boys. AWESOME job. The Beach Boys are not the easiest to copy, but these guys nailed it
It would take a grand total of 17 sessions totaling 90 hours at four different studios for the Beach Boys to complete the recording, using 70 hours of tape, working from April through September. These guys have made a great job of this doing it live in one take.Brilliant.

When you’re reproducing something someone else created it will always be quicker and simpler.
With more guys and instruments. Duh and 70 years better audio etc....................
@@harveykaye2550 It's still a good performance Harvey. Hope your keeping well.

@@michaelmelton1704 no 😍but they’re fantastic also❤
How anyone can thumbs down this. They’re brilliant
How could 81,000,000 people vote for the Bifoon in Chief?
If there is ever a perfect cover band, The Fendertones might be it.
I'm 70 and a music lover all my life. In all of musical history two things stand out. The first time I heard Good Vibrations, and the first time I heard Dark Side of the Moon
Jesus...this is hands down the best cover I’ve ever heard and it’s fucking LIVE!!!!
I just discovered the Fendertones. I hope they get back together to replay their amazing songs from the 60's. The young Beach Boys.
Thanks for keeping Beach Boys music alive.
Love it that the young ones are stepping up to the plate!
The only group I've ever heard do the Beach Boys justice.
why hasn't these talented people not been put onto a CD
Shout out to Mr. Herder. I cannot begin to imagine what you went through to get this and all the Fendertones videos performed and produced. Thank You for your work. Thanks to all the performers and support crew as well.
This is beyond a cover tune, this is a career!
Words cannot express how much I like the Beach Boys and the superb covers the Fendertones have done. And LIVE!

I think they do it better just because of the greater number of singers doing harmony
James Anderson 💯Rty

Out side the Beach Boys I don't know when or where you would hear better. Crushed it....
Been a Beach Boys fan all my life...these guys are awesome.
You just said it for me Sir 👍
they don't do covers they do wonderful recreations
Man I took them for granted
14 people don't appreciate how good these guys are. I'm a fan.
Wow,they did this in 2004? Hard to believe it's 15 years later & I'm just discovering these awesome guys! Love your renditions!!!♡

Just as I remembered those days!!
Yes truly amazing 😁🥰

Bought this record in ' 66 when it made No. 1 in the UK, another fabulous cover from these extremely talented guys !
Just became aware of the fendertones. Amazing, and it's all done live without overdubs. And no auto-tune, thank God!
amazing
This is a difficult song to cover, EXCELLENT!!!

Watching them sing brings back memories of how the Beach Boys used to like singing together
That lead vocalist. !!❤
Simply amazing. You can see, hear and feel the dedication and passion. I'm just gutted that they are not still together.
amazing the number of people it took to reproduce that sound...well done...the crowd loved it.

Wow, what a fantastic show THAT must have been ! Perfect closing song !
I think that there is a group of perpetually angry people who live only to dislike everything, especially anything on you tube.
Excellent ❤

I gave him a 10 star whoever they are
No words are enough to describe how awesome they are... ! :)
Love this song and this group!
I surely hope Mr Brian Wilson gets to dig this!
they should record a CD with those songs because they are so AWESOME.
I have just came across these guys they are brilliant first time I have heard their music in scotland

And they are outstanding, even the beach boys could not make this sound live.
This sends chills up my spine. Nice job boys!

Wonderful - Takes me back to sunny California days and muscle cars - great job guys.
FINALLY a new Fendertones video!
Awesome job, as usual!
Will the group ever get together again ? They would sell out tickets for every show!

Such great voices. The two leads are amazing. And very good stage presence too.

If Brian Wilson is reading this, please write a song for these guys to record. They tribute you so well, that maybe you can tribute them!
Brian is too high on cocaine to even be able to read this.
Okay, I will.

The degree of difficulty in pulling this off live is... impressive. Remember, the BB's used overdubs and the famed Wrecking Crew backing them up.
