    Great video. At 8:44 you mention that LA binds with highest affinity to inactivated state the, closed form, then open state. Also at 9:03 you mention that LA don't bind well to open state. This is contradictory to page 1036 of Miller's anaesthesia 8th edition, it mentions that "both open and inactivated states of the channel bin local Anaesthetics more avidly than resting state does" By the way, really enjoying your videos!!! If you could let me know what you think or if I have completely misunderstood the concept, it would be great!

      Binding has highest affinity in inactive state but does have binding in other states as well. They do not bind AS well in the open state so all are true statements. I think the take home is the inactivated state is when vast majority of binding occurs.

    Just to clarify - dibucaine is an amide LA (not ester type) ...?
