Excellent presentation. Very concise and clear.👍 I believe the domain maybe sort of loose term, that could be used at higher level or lower level. For example the departments within an organization could be considered domains while what you presented as technical assets within the respective domain?
In my opinion, these data domains are not tied to departments per say. They go across departments. So for the Customer domain you would have representation from Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement, etc.

This is quite insightful, by first establishing the context of use a lot of arguments are avoided. The mistake I've made and others too, is assuming there's a single definition that serves all contexts when it comes to data.
