Oh Rodd, fantastic!! You have made my Friday :) What a gorgeous girl she is! I am thrilled to see her - the last of the "true" Aussie LTDs before the Fairlane and LTD shared the same wheelbase. In actual fact, your P6 is the same colour as my Silver Shadow - Walnut. Thankyou !!!
Absolutely beautiful. Love the colour, never seen one like this. These are as old as I am and as a kid I was in awe of them. The best Ford money could buy. I'd love to daily one but couldn't live with the wear & tear and carpark dings that would subject it to. Very nice, very nice indeed.
Fantastic clip Rodd! One of our neighbours where I lived in country NSW bought a brand new ‘77 Silver Monarch LTD with a crushed burgundy velour trim. WOW, that was a stunning car that turned heads everywhere it went! Your LTD is breathtaking & would surely be one of the finest left in existence . . . She’s in good hands with you! 😁
BEAUTIFUL Rodd. I have loved your videos for years., and still do, & am hoping to visit you in Australia ( I am from the Caribbean -Trinidad & Tobago ) and purchase a few of your beautiful classics if for sale. Your car collection is stunning in every way, & this p6 Ford LTD is exceptional, Thanks for sharing/posting.
It looks more like a Chrysler product from that era, the one that Ricardo Montalban crowed about the “rich Corinthians leather”…..name of that car escapes me
It appears to have the hubcaps from a Mercury Grand Marquis from the era. Were those standard issue on that car or were they put on it afterwards? I love the seats and don't believe even Lincoln offered the buckets and floor console. Nice car
@@RAS4915 the hubcaps look very similar to the Mercury Grand Marquis and I’m sure copied but; no, the LTD had 14” whereas the Grand Marquis were 15”. These are the original fitment cap.
Upfront, it is an almost identical twin of a 1975-1976 Chrysler Cordoba. This could not possibly be considered in Lincoln's size or class. This is a Ford Torino or Mercury Montego, 115" WB, mid-sized, car. No luxury car of that era would have a stick shift center console, except a Lincoln Versailles. Which was a sales disaster based on a Granada/Monarch.
You’re talking a completely different market. This is Australia. This car is longer and bigger than a standard wheel base Rolls-Royce of its time. Are you suggesting a Rolls-Royce was a mid-sized car? Ford LTD: length 211”, width 77” Rolls-Royce: length 207”, width 71”
Actually 121 inch wheelbase and more rear legroom that even larger Lincoln’s. Many Jags and Mercedes of this era had floor mounted gear selectors and they were luxury cars. In Australia back then all luxury cars had bucket seats.
Because both Ford and GM were too proud to admit their Australian subsidiaries could come up with designs better than them. The Australian offices would constantly fight with their American parents.
That's a sweet-looking automobile. Too bad the steering wheel is on the wrong side and the shifter is on the floor. A/C vents in the back in 1977? Unheard of. But no one asked for the stupid "music" soundtrack.
I have to commend Ford for the 1977 LTD, As a GM man, this vehicle was the pinnacle of luxury motoring in Australia. ✌🏽❤️💛🖤🎶🇦🇺

Simply stunning. 👍
Not sure why its not in high res..... sorry
That's some wonderful looking seating! I love the center console too.
Wow this car looks like it's brand new

He’s in Chicago, not Australia!
Looks like a Cordoba in the front. Wow.
Corinthian leather
That's what I thought also!
Wow! Beautiful car!
the int door panels and lites look like my 77 tcar. looks comfy
What a beautiful example.
I would love to have seen the back end

Sadly, there are no Australian cars anymore

Holy crap that’s actually a really nice car. Why didn’t ford bring this over to complete with the Seville instead of the hideous Versailles?

This is very true.
Cool!
A car for the PM of the day, not that any of them deserved it
😂😂😂
Pristine example!!!

Bloody hell…. So rude!!!
@@roddsala4626 You are the rude one with that horrible "music." So have a nice day. uu=====>
The shifter on the floor would be a good thing!🤷
@@jeffmiller3150 No, it's not. Takes up room unnecessarily.
The Holdens are the best looking cars out of Australia 🇦🇺 The rest are ugly.Like Japanese cars.
It looks like a 4 dr Cordorba front end this is a lesson chrysler should have done with a 440 magnum 4 BL Holley or fuel injection hah ,Hall Ass man !
