All your gear is terrific.Really well put together with great attention to detail and fine justifications. Only small point of doubt for me is your golf balls. It’s the only thing you use for every shot and it makes the most difference of all your equipment. Price is usually a reflection of quality control form main OEM brands. So generally expensive balls will perform more consistently and predictably (it’s a deep rabbit hole to go down if you want to look).Doesn’t really matter what ball you play but try and stick to just one model. Ideally the best ball you can afford to loose and not be upset. You did kind of say this but stick to you gamer Kirkland at the fancy clubs if that’s your usual ball. When you get really good you can have a small menu of balls in the bag that you choose from based on the course and playing conditions for the day

Been hitting the ball a little better lately so I think I’m ready to move away from Kirkland and play something a little less spinny. Going to give Vice a try since they are relatively cheap. Nice set up and great style. My take- you’ve got the equipment nailed down. No need for a refit after less than 2 yrs with your clubs. I’ve found the best investment at his point are lessons!

Hell yeah! My guy got the bug! Congrats on Breaking 100 man! Huge for 6months in. Key to breaking 90 is hitting Greens in Regulation! So getting consistent with your irons and wedges.. even if you have an occasional 3 putt. Good luck to you bro! When you finally break 90, come back and tell me about it ! 👏🏾👏🏾
Yeah I thought about it.. also was looking at the Qi10 .. heard some really good things about that one. But at this point.. I may just hold out for the Qi10 2 so I can replace all my woods/hybrids

Best golf bag I’ve owned. Love these. I was really thinking about that Oreo one and the Maverick one looks dope too. Thought it would get real dirty quick. How’s yours holding up? Probably easy to wipe clean due to the leather
@@quaypotts exactly yeah, it does get a little dirty looking but a clean wet towel does the trick easily. Had it about 6 months so far and still like new. The only thing is the pull thing is for the zippers aren't very strong but at least they give a bag of extras haha.
You might want to look into getting some stiffer shafts in your driver, fairway, and hybrid. You have more than enough speed to get into an X flex and it will kill spin and make the driver more controllable. Especially at your strength, it’s important to get into some better materials that are found in stiffer shafts. I would say once you get down to like a 12 handicap, a full wood fitting would be beneficial. Another thing. The HL in 16.5HL stands for high launch :)
Yeah ive actually been wanting to go get re-fitted for everything just to see what I should be at. completely different swing and speeds since the last time. definitely going to go get that done soon! and yeah I completely meant to say High Launch .. don't know where I go 'High Low' from.. shit don't even make sense lol. I have to get use to talking on camera more.. I get nervous and just say some random ish lol.. appreciate the comment tho bro!
Great WITB video. Regarding you hitting your 3 wood better than your driver, I would definitely go get fitted for a different driver. Even the next version of the TM Stealth Plus driver would be easier to hit, since it’s much more forgiving. I had the original Stealth driver and it was a beast, but only on center strikes. There are more forgiving drivers out there, so get fitted with your improved swing.

Cool video, thanks for sharing. However, picking clubs by color or brand is a novice idea. PGA professional are sponsored and don't have a choice but we amateurs do. Diversifying is the key. I have a Callaway Driver, Tour Edge 3FW & 3 hybrid, PXG irons and a Odyssey putter. Getting fitted is great but trying to align brands sometimes means not getting the right clubs that work for you. I started back in 2008 and have not stopped enjoying this amazing sport. It's addicting. Keep sharing content fellow golfer. Peace and Blessings.

Nice video, but I recon if you knew as much about your club /shaft / grip choices as you do about your apparel you would be a single figure handicapper... best advice I would give you use the same ball all the time... good course or bad course... its the one constant in your game ... if you are going to play - treat yourself a fresh ball every game - I am staggered by the mentality of guys of paying $100 to play but using any old ball and wondering why they dont get better

love the driver cover, about to get one of my own. but are they really that unstable while on the driver? like you barely touched the thing and it was about to fall off. same thing happened on the IG reel. is it just cuz you didn't tighten it? is it stable then?
Yeah it just wasn’t tightened . When you put it on and tighten the jaw string you wouldn’t be able to take it off which is nice . When it’s loose it makes it easy to put on and off while you’re on the course. I love that thing

I honestly don’t think it would. I don’t have the storm trooper but looks similar in size to the BP head over . You should be fine. I don’t have any issues with it hitting or getting in the way of my woods .. I want to get another one. Been eyeing that black IronMan head cover 👀

@@quaypotts Yeah I've always heard good things about the p790s, excited to try them out. Going to a fitter next weekend. The short list of irons that I'll be looking it are the P790s, Mizuno JPX 923 forged, and Ping i530.

@@quayvision feel like it all depends on the individual not courses or such. Played 3 of the St Andrews links, Troon twice, two of the Gullane courses and two of the Gailes courses never had any issues with hat backwards or not, yet play a local course and people draw you looks 😶

Yeah the big disclaimer was the super forgiving club, the fact that I had a wild swing. Swinging out of my shoes with no accuracy whatsoever 🤣🤣 now my 7i is around 165-175 on average lol. But I still think I need different shafts for sure
@@quaypotts i just got all new clubs talked to a lot of different fitters at 3 different stores all of them said get any club but stealth 2 they wont even sell them to anyone cuz of them breaking..one place told me taylormade is replacing ones being sent back with qi10s now to make up for it..and i was told people are busting theirs on purpose under warranty to get a qi10. i talked to a fitter who travels all over the US and meets with these big companies and he said taylormade has never misses but last year they missed big time.. i know they look sweet i was going to custom order a driver but i know 2 of my friends that just got them and the one used to outdrive me by 30-50 yards with his sim2 now im outdriving him with a taylormade r5 that i bought in 2007
been looking into that bag in the oreo version do you really think its worth $440? im deciding between the new callaway bag and ghost bag callaway is only $280 and looks really good and durable this year
lol does it bother you that much. And I didn’t think they were that tight lol.. I do agree than some dudes who wear them super tight is weird. But mine are still fairly loose. I ordered a sized bigger. Hard to shop for clothes now days because everything is fitting super tight. I don’t love it either lol
@@quaypotts lol. gotta admit the stretchy ones do look good if you’re in shape. i’m old and fatter now so no luck for me. hahaha. btw…dunno if you’ve tried jdm clubs before, the japanese golf market is heaven. especially for used clubs. built my set, all jdm, for around $1100. best deal ever. ryoma driver and hybrid, epon 305 irons and miura km 701 wedges. just got back from tokyo…golf and all u can eat wagyu. seriously the perfect place for golf and beef fanatics..not to mention the other goodies. lol
Haha I can understand that. Believe me, I was team loose pants until I started golfing.. hard to find regular fitting pants. A lot of dudes be wearing them way too tight but that’s cool for them I guess lol And nah I never heard of that brand. Will look into it. Japan is definitely on my bucket list! Was in Thailand last summer and had an amazing time ..especially on the golf courses!

Nice video, but I recon if you knew as much about your club /shaft / grip choices as you do about your apparel you would be a single figure handicapper... best advice I would give you use the same ball all the time... good course or bad course... its the one constant in your game ... if you are going to play - treat yourself a fresh ball every game - I am staggered by the mentality of guys of paying $100 to play but using any old ball and wondering why they dont get better

love the driver cover, about to get one of my own. but are they really that unstable while on the driver? like you barely touched the thing and it was about to fall off. same thing happened on the IG reel. is it just cuz you didn't tighten it? is it stable then?
Yeah it just wasn’t tightened . When you put it on and tighten the jaw string you wouldn’t be able to take it off which is nice .
When it’s loose it makes it easy to put on and off while you’re on the course. I love that thing
@@quaypotts dope, im gonna hit on the stormtrooper. any issues with the other woods in the bag knockin around with that gigantic headcover? i have an ask echo slc-130 which basically sets each club in one place and they dont move at all. wondering if its going to fuck with the spacing.
I honestly don’t think it would. I don’t have the storm trooper but looks similar in size to the BP head over . You should be fine. I don’t have any issues with it hitting or getting in the way of my woods ..

How do you like the p790s? I'm currently gaming Callaway Apex and have been considering switching to taylormade irons
Me being new to the game this the only set I’ve really owned so don’t really have anything to compare them too.. but I like them a lot ! Taylor made makes so really good clubs
@@quaypotts Yeah I've always heard good things about the p790s, excited to try them out. Going to a fitter next weekend. The short list of irons that I'll be looking it are the P790s, Mizuno JPX 923 forged, and Ping i530.

@@jazzt3839yeah I agree. I played a course the other day and got paired with a few older guys and half way through the round one of them started wearing his backwards . Thought that was pretty funny. But yeah, I definitely wouldn’t go in club houses/locker rooms with it on. 🤙🏾
@@quayvision feel like it all depends on the individual not courses or such. Played 3 of the St Andrews links, Troon twice, two of the Gullane courses and two of the Gailes courses never had any issues with hat backwards or not, yet play a local course and people draw you looks 😶

Yeah the big disclaimer was the super forgiving club, the fact that I had a wild swing. Swinging out of my shoes with no accuracy whatsoever 🤣🤣 now my 7i is around 165-175 on average lol. But I still think I need different shafts for sure

@@quaypotts i just got all new clubs talked to a lot of different fitters at 3 different stores all of them said get any club but stealth 2 they wont even sell them to anyone cuz of them breaking..one place told me taylormade is replacing ones being sent back with qi10s now to make up for it..and i was told people are busting theirs on purpose under warranty to get a qi10. i talked to a fitter who travels all over the US and meets with these big companies and he said taylormade has never misses but last year they missed big time.. i know they look sweet i was going to custom order a driver but i know 2 of my friends that just got them and the one used to outdrive me by 30-50 yards with his sim2 now im outdriving him with a taylormade r5 that i bought in 2007
