The most annoying thing is if it's your own sister belittling you and stuff. I have never tried to make her feel insecure, haven't been mean to her or anything. But she still acts that way towards me for no reason at all. Well, I got tired of trying to figure out what her problem with me is so I don't talk to her anymore... It's exhausting if I'm just trying to interact with her like a normal person and she trying to compete and compare with me all the time. I tried asking her what her deal is and she wouldn't tell me. If she won't be honest with me there's nothing I can do. Why is it so hard for people to understand that you can be both a go-getter DIY woman, AND a feminine one? I'm a bread-baking, apron-wearing stay-at-home wife, very "trad wife" and loving it, but I also worked in construction for 5 years, and I can remodel our house better than my husband could! You can have both-and. And yes, my husband loves that I can both make him dinner and tear up and remodel our home's tile flooring. A joyful, _useful,_ hard-working woman of ANY kind is a crown to her husband.

I'm happy we're talking about this actually. I was raised on a farm, tossing bales, getting my ass kicked by every animal imaginable, starting with goats at 8yrs old. And that strength is still in me today. I only moved to the city 4yrs ago but im faster and stronger than anyone within the same physical size of me. I am smart and independent but I am also incredibly feminine and have had the wife and mother instincts in me since childhood. Exactly. All of the women in my mother's family could be seen as more "masculine", but if you're a child required to help on a farm this is just how you grow up. It's not even "masculine", those are qualities like hard work, self discipline, commitment, that I think any human benefits from, not just men. They were all helping the same way, all were given same tasks, all were required to do their part, there was no time or place for thinking about princess dresses or makeup. But I don't agree they are "masculine", they are just normal people behaving like normal people. Part of the reason I disagree with people saying women should always strive for "femininity" (even if she isn't and never will be) and that it's our natural trait society tries to shame. Raise 6 kids, 3 boys and 3 girls in a forest, or even farm like that away from social media and people's influence, huge chances are they will all develop same traits, even survival skills and there wouldn't be that much differences in their behavior. Yes, the girl or some of them may develop some what we'd call "feminine" traits later, but not to the point some people would claim a woman should have. That's what's really natural.

My mother was raised on farm where they all shared same work, same tasks, same responsibilities, some might say all women from their family are more "masculine" but for me things like hard work, commitment, self discipline, while also physical and mental strength are just simple humane traits everybody should have. And never think that southern women are weak. My wife of 47 yrs, and I, were checking out at Tractor Supply as a well dressed young (30's) woman was ahead of us buying a 50# bag of horse feed. Walking out, she put her cart in the rack by the door and shouldered the feed sack as she walked out to her truck. I commented to my wife... "Now THAT's a country girl." BTW - My wife is a country girl too. She totes around hay bales quite easily. True beauty doesn't need lipstick.

100% true! I worked at a Ranch & Home store in a rural community for several years when I was 16-20 and I was the only girl working in the feed / livestock department. People would always be shocked that a 100lbs girl could load their 50 lbs feed bags and that I knew what I was talking about when it came to "guy" topics. I learned a lot about life, and made some great lifelong connections during that time. Wouldn't trade it for anything!

From what I’ve seen in every social experience ever women tend to gatekeep women more than men. Hell I remember a girl saying she wanted to do a keg stand with the boys and a bunch of girls were snickering about it where the boys went “hell yeah”and helped her do it. She did a fantastic job as a first timer and was the gem of the party for the boys but those snickering girls shunned her off the rest of the night. I talked to her years later and she said it was the first and not last time she realized guys are always happy to welcome someone in, teach and encourage new experiences where women try to sabotage each other to look better.

One of the coolest things there is the skate board scene… and the girls that ride the massive long boards. Skating is awesome.

Granted the real you isn't really into killing living beings but if you were, then I could see feeling guilt or remorse but assuming the most you kill is insects, I'm confident to say if biologically you were born female, you're "feminine" enough. My late wife and best friend for 46 years was a true Southern girl…she helped her dad (an Atlanta GA. contractor) on projects…roofed our back porch addition (I was recuperating from surgery)…we rode dirt bikes, camped on Cumberland Island National Seashore with our two daughters…launched our boats and she was the best fishing partner ever (on our anniversary 6 months before her death from colon cancer complications on Easter Sunday 2017) she caught a 4# Smallmouth bass on the Tennessee River)…she caught and released non venomous snakes from our garden without flinching (in other words…we enjoyed our lives…I miss her so much) she spent the last 18 years of her life working in two Non Profits here in Cleveland Tennessee teaching people to read (Opportunity for Adult Reading) and making sure that needy people were fed by arranging food donations (The Caring Place…much like Hannah and her dad sharing wild hog meat with neighbors)…bottom line is…what have the people who bitch and find fault with “Southern Women” done for the world? I found myself agreeing with everything they said, even admiring them, but something still felt off. Now I realize it’s because the “trad wife” trend caricatures the feminine genius as one type of person when that’s not true at all. Being a traditional wife isn’t a trend- as even the name suggests its longtime existence. Heck, countless of the very "trad wives" they claim to promote/glorify often were out helping their husbands work farms and tend livestock (and many of them learned how to do stuff like shoot a rifle or shotgun to get rid of vermin or predator animals, among other reasons). They weren't just cooking in the kitchen in clean flowery aprons, etc., those couples of eras past worked the land together and ate by the sweat of their brow. Even in the 1950s suburbs, many ladies built up gardens to bring down food costs. I'm a South African White Boer women. I can literally do anything my husband does. We bought a "Fix-her-upper" and I did everything with him and we did everything ourselves. I change my own tyres, I'm not scared to do anything. I was the firts women in South Africa back in 96 to get Forklift licences for reach trucks and larger forklifts up too 20T because I couldn't stand waiting for men to help me to get my job done!

I am definitely a girly girl, that kind of stuff (fishing, building houses, etc) doesn’t appeal to me. Yet I’d never doubt a woman’s femininity over it! I also know that my husband does like that kind of stuff, so I find ways to be in that world with him. When my husband goes fishing, I bring a book along or a journal. I hand him his tools when he fixes things. I help in the ways I know im able. If doing labor means being un feminine…I guess there were never feminine women for thousands of years lol. Women have always contributed to the home in some way or another, and before modern conveniences many times it was more physical labor!

I am in my mid thirties and was raised in small town Idaho. I was taught by my dad to tile a bathroom, fix a roof, change a tire, and plant a garden. I am happily married, have 3 girls, and hate to cook. I am also a nurse. My husband absolutely loves that I can bait a hook, shoot a gun, and rock a baby. He also loves that I am in his words “low maintenance”. Just be who you truly are.
I’m a hyperfeminine city chick, but my mom grew up country. She was a tomboy, and proudly calls herself a country girl. She wouldn’t allow my sister and I to play outside much or do much labor, and would scold us as “tomboyish” if we did. Now that I’m an adult I finally get to try outdoor hobbies like fishing. It’s like forbidden fruit to me.
Though we lived on a working ranch, Momma was forever trying to mold me into her 'Perfect Daughter' and we never stopped fighting over my tomboyish attitude/perspectives. If Papa and my three older brothers could so it, 'I' was determined to at least try, myself! To her dying day, we never reconcilled, and that's unfortunate, but I'll never believe I was in the wrong for choosing how to live MY life.

I’m totally on Hannah’s side. I’m the same, not a country girl but I lost my mom when I was young and was raised by wolfs (dad and brothers). I hunt, fish, work on my own motorcycles. It wasn’t till my dad remarried when I was 16 that I learned how to be feminine.
A tomboy can be a friend, and a companion, and arm-candy, all at the same time. But Arm-candy can only be arm-candy. Real men prefer the whole package instead of a one-dimensional package.
One of the things that drew me to my wife was that I could easily picture her as a pioneer woman with a baby perched on one hip, a shotgun on the other, and her foot on the head of the bear she just killed.
As a hunter from a small town, I've followed Hannah on Instagram for years now since before even the pandemic. She's essentially just like most of the young ladies I went to high school with. Just the idea of banning her is incredibly laughable to me. And by the way, I have seen Hannah post photos occasionally of herself out with friends wearing a dress. She's even posted comparison photos of her covered in catfish slime in the water versus done-up in make-up and dresses, and in both she is a very feminine Southern lady.
One of the funny things about being a southern transplant was the culture shock. I ended up transferring part way through high school to a very rural agriculture county. Our prom queens were also in the 4-H and FFA. The same girls doing beauty pageants would turn around and show sheep, cattle, or sows. They'd go hunting before school and stay after for cheerleading practice. They could really do it all. And no one ever had a question about whether or not they were a woman or feminine enough.
The funniest thing about cheerleading was it was actually invented by men and the early practitioners of said craft were men themselves! But then again, pink was a man's color back in those days! 🤣🤣🤣
She reminds me a lot of Fran Drescher’s role from the 90’s sitcom, “The Nanny:” smart, down to earth, has style and a little bit of flair, and completely stands out in the best way when compared to the rich, social elite. Hannah’s common sense, warm demeanor, and perky smile proves that money doesn’t equal class.

I'm happy we're talking about this actually. I was raised on a farm, tossing bales, getting my ass kicked by every animal imaginable, starting with goats at 8yrs old. And that strength is still in me today. I only moved to the city 4yrs ago but im faster and stronger than anyone within the same physical size of me. I am smart and independent but I am also incredibly feminine and have had the wife and mother instincts in me since childhood. Exactly. All of the women in my mother's family could be seen as more "masculine", but if you're a child required to help on a farm this is just how you grow up. It's not even "masculine", those are qualities like hard work, self discipline, commitment, that I think any human benefits from, not just men. They were all helping the same way, all were given same tasks, all were required to do their part, there was no time or place for thinking about princess dresses or makeup. But I don't agree they are "masculine", they are just normal people behaving like normal people.
Part of the reason I disagree with people saying women should always strive for "femininity" (even if she isn't and never will be) and that it's our natural trait society tries to shame. Raise 6 kids, 3 boys and 3 girls in a forest, or even farm like that away from social media and people's influence, huge chances are they will all develop same traits, even survival skills and there wouldn't be that much differences in their behavior. Yes, the girl or some of them may develop some what we'd call "feminine" traits later, but not to the point some people would claim a woman should have. That's what's really natural.
Asian women have historically been hustling too.
Having real life, pragmatic skills doesn't make you unfeminine. Also makeup, clothes and filler aren't a good replacement for developing an actual personality.

100% true! I worked at a Ranch & Home store in a rural community for several years when I was 16-20 and I was the only girl working in the feed / livestock department. People would always be shocked that a 100lbs girl could load their 50 lbs feed bags and that I knew what I was talking about when it came to "guy" topics. Thanks for introducing me to Hanna Barron. Sounds like she's just living the normal life of any gal living 15 minutes away from a big metropolitan city anywhere in the USA. In the morning we can help with putting down a new floor, fish with the family, and spread manure if needed, and that evening easily glam up for a fancy dinner and even the theater. She sounds like she speaks to the genuine real women. I'm going to follow this Miss Hanna, I'm sure she'll warm my heart.

I’m a Floridian by birth and grew up at what is now the oldest skate park in America (Kona). Girls didn’t skate. At 42, I moved to Huntington Beach, CA with my wife and kids. One of the coolest things there is the skate board scene… and the girls that ride the massive long boards. Skating is awesome.

Granted the real you isn't really into killing living beings but if you were, then I could see feeling guilt or remorse but assuming the most you kill is insects, I'm confident to say if biologically you were born female, you're "feminine" enough. My late wife and best friend for 46 years was a true Southern girl…she helped her dad (an Atlanta GA. contractor) on projects…roofed our back porch addition (I was recuperating from surgery)…we rode dirt bikes, camped on Cumberland Island National Seashore with our two daughters…launched our boats and she was the best fishing partner ever (on our anniversary 6 months before her death from colon cancer complications on Easter Sunday 2017) she caught a 4# Smallmouth bass on the Tennessee River)…she caught and released non venomous snakes from our garden without flinching (in other words…we enjoyed our lives…I miss her so much) she spent the last 18 years of her life working in two Non Profits here in Cleveland Tennessee teaching people to read (Opportunity for Adult Reading) and making sure that needy people were fed by arranging food donations (The Caring Place…much like Hannah and her dad sharing wild hog meat with neighbors)…bottom line is…what have the people who bitch and find fault with “Southern Women” done for the world? I’ll answer my own question…NOTHING!…give me a Southern girl with a Southern accent every day of the week 🥰🥰🥰…thank you for your channel 🤘🤘🤘❤❤❤

This video helped me make sense of why I felt rubbed the wrong way by some “trad wife” videos online, even though I myself fulfill the role of a traditional wife. I found myself agreeing with everything they said, even admiring them, but something still felt off. Now I realize it’s because the “trad wife” trend caricatures the feminine genius as one type of person when that’s not true at all. Being a traditional wife isn’t a trend- as even the name suggests its longtime existence. The feminine genius can and should exist everywhere so that the soft and caring nature of women can better our society. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Yeah, it's totally weird how so many of those internet trad wives feel like they're wearing their grandmother's life and appearance as a costume. Just be yourself. It's possible to live in the present and still not be a part of all the wild sh it going on with our culture today.

I'm all for traditional gender roles, but I will not be wearing a 1950s dress with pearls and heels and a full face of makeup every day like these caricatures created by internet "trad wives". I'd much rather be in muddy boots in the barn or traipsing through the woods.
Heck, countless of the very "trad wives" they claim to promote/glorify often were out helping their husbands work farms and tend livestock (and many of them learned how to do stuff like shoot a rifle or shotgun to get rid of vermin or predator animals, among other reasons). They weren't just cooking in the kitchen in clean flowery aprons, etc., those couples of eras past worked the land together and ate by the sweat of their brow. Even in the 1950s suburbs, many ladies built up gardens to bring down food costs. As a guy, I find it comical how both obnoxious feminists AND extreme traditional role-believing fellas often ignore this history.
They also just might prefer the aesthetics of a time period. There is nothing wrong with that.
Oof I could go on and on how all they do is basically just play pretend for TikTok clicks. I'm a South African White Boer women. I can literally do anything my husband does. We bought a "Fix-her-upper" and I did everything with him and we did everything ourselves.
I change my own tyres, I'm not scared to do anything. I was the firts women in South Africa back in 96 to get Forklift licences for reach trucks and larger forklifts up too 20T because I couldn't stand waiting for men to help me to get my job done!

I also know that my husband does like that kind of stuff, so I find ways to be in that world with him. When my husband goes fishing, I bring a book along or a journal. I hand him his tools when he fixes things. I help in the ways I know im able.

Yes! This is what I've been saying - for most of history women have done extensive manual labor! Like were the pioneer women just not feminine at all? Work is a natural part of life, and, when we're lucky, we can all do the kinds of work that appeal to us. Outdoorsy AND indoorsy women can both be feminine, has nothing to do with your job or hobbies.

As a woman who fixes her own home (and has practically no fingernails because doing manual labor with long nails sucks) these women can just keep crying. i love fishing, camping, going to the lake, and i LOVE the racetrack. these were all my grandpas favorite places and things to do. since coping with his passing, i can barely go to these places anymore, and when i tried camping yesterday, i was physically trembling and i had to go home because of the memories.

I am in my mid thirties and was raised in small town Idaho. I was taught by my dad to tile a bathroom, fix a roof, change a tire, and plant a garden. I am happily married, have 3 girls, and hate to cook. I am also a nurse.
My husband absolutely loves that I can bait a hook, shoot a gun, and rock a baby. He also loves that I am in his words “low maintenance”. Just be who you truly are.
I’m a hyperfeminine city chick, but my mom grew up country. She was a tomboy, and proudly calls herself a country girl. She wouldn’t allow my sister and I to play outside much or do much labor, and would scold us as “tomboyish” if we did.
Now that I’m an adult I finally get to try outdoor hobbies like fishing. It’s like forbidden fruit to me.

I’m totally on Hannah’s side. I’m the same, not a country girl but I lost my mom when I was young and was raised by wolfs (dad and brothers). I hunt, fish, work on my own motorcycles. It wasn’t till my dad remarried when I was 16 that I learned how to be feminine.

As a hunter from a small town, I've followed Hannah on Instagram for years now since before even the pandemic. She's essentially just like most of the young ladies I went to high school with. Just the idea of banning her is incredibly laughable to me. And by the way, I have seen Hannah post photos occasionally of herself out with friends wearing a dress. She's even posted comparison photos of her covered in catfish slime in the water versus done-up in make-up and dresses, and in both she is a very feminine Southern lady.

One of the funny things about being a southern transplant was the culture shock. I ended up transferring part way through high school to a very rural agriculture county. Our prom queens were also in the 4-H and FFA. The same girls doing beauty pageants would turn around and show sheep, cattle, or sows. They'd go hunting before school and stay after for cheerleading practice. They could really do it all.
And no one ever had a question about whether or not they were a woman or feminine enough.
The funniest thing about cheerleading was it was actually invented by men and the early practitioners of said craft were men themselves! But then again, pink was a man's color back in those days! 🤣🤣🤣
She reminds me a lot of Fran Drescher’s role from the 90’s sitcom, “The Nanny:” smart, down to earth, has style and a little bit of flair, and completely stands out in the best way when compared to the rich, social elite. Hannah’s common sense, warm demeanor, and perky smile proves that money doesn’t equal class.

My wife can build, chop wood (axe and chainsaw), likes do weights & kickbox, do obstacle courses & rock climb, she likes fishing & shooting, she plays drums and guitar. We get to best friend things together and when we build stuff on our property we get to bond. She is a fantastic mum and a great wife. She is still feminine and womanly and is respectful of herself.
