Granny’s one, I think it is a personal choice. I prefer the one at the corner coffee shop. Bobo if I am not mistaken where the curry mee and the apom is equally great.
help you bro. wet one , agryll road opposite petrol station morning, pulau tikus market night. dry one, shang wu primary opposite state mosque noon, corner chulia street opposite mugshot coffee noon. padang brown next to bp petrol station 5-6 pm to abt 9. try if good then recommend something good in alor setar. this guy make video, remember.
All should taste delicious and each one tastes differently from the others. At the end of your video, you should summarise which ones(*) you REALLY like so that viewers can visit them. * Cos There are too many stalls to visit., and if you like you should qualify yourself it is all personal tastes so that you will get into trouble with the stall owners.
Hi Tean, thanks for the feedback actually these are the top 10 that I love and I usually visit 🤣, there are a lot yet I still haven't visit. Apparently I wanted to list down the Really like stall but I feel not fair others, so I didn't do so 🙏
That is overrated, when they were at Burma road that time, they were the best. But after moved to One Corner, the soup is diluted and not so great after all.
Used to be my favorite when they located at Burma road, after they moved to one corner cafe, their soup is diluted and the service getting bad to worst then I have no more going over
Hate to break it for you. But it is increasingly difficult to find Hokkien Mee made from scratch in Penang. It has become so commercialised that most sellers get their soup base from whole seller in barrels. Vendors may add different ratio of water to the soup base to maximise their profit. As a Penangite, sometimes, it is funny to find people who taste Hokkien Mee and claimed it taste differently, when the soup base is actually coming from the same whole seller.
Penang hocken mee is no more holiao unlike those in the 70th n 8oth,today they skip many ingredients n simplify the process of making it to cut cost n time, it lost its authentic taste. Come over to seberang prai, in Valdor any stall of hockkien mee is better taste than those in penang. They are有心去做 with full ingredients. I am an old timer residing in the island in the 60th n 70th,not to offend any one, sorry
2 things confirm you dont know the best in Penang. 1) Please upgrade audio. Wind noise is irritating. 2) You miss the really good one that is facing Pulau Tikus Polis Station. Just these 2 things I shall give you a Thumbs Down so you learn.
Wahhhhh u ate 10 hokkien mee
Good recommendations Steven.

Is it true? I taste quite different from one place to another...?
I disagree with your statement. It tastes different from one to another.
Green house Hokkien Mee overhype. For me just average nia.
