- The re-visit of Seong Huat Coffee Shop this round is to cover the various selection of Penang street food. One of the must-try food here is the Mee Manja CRC which has been around since 1940. The taste is still the same as the original even after 60 years. Char koay teow here is packed with char grill aroma with fresh prawns, sunny side up, and blood cockles that only cost RM10 per plate. The famous koay teow soup is also one not to be missed for those that love soup base dishes. As for the Pan Mee, this is a new stall and yet thick with flavourful soup, the exciting part is the mala clay pot pan mee that is packed with numbness and spiciness. The nasi lemak that has been around at this coffee shop for 16 years is also serving nice and comfortable coconut milk rice with various options.

Wah, the sizzling. You don't normally see this kind of cooking style in Malaysia. Other food look good too. Will definitely drop by someday.

This all looks so good! but can you explain a bit more what is Mee Manja CRC? I’m not Malaysian so other than that it’s noodles…. how was this distinct from the other noodle dishes youve featured?
A very good question that capture my attention. Thanks for watching. Mee CRC is a location name (Chinese Recreation Center). The real type of noodle is call Mee Manja. Mee Manja is similar to Mee Mamak but not exectly the same as the gravy base is are different. Is a type of uniqueness that only available in Penang.
