I would like to ask you about an older video you made dealing with Serato and Ableton live. If you set up your Rane 70 as the Audio interface in Ableton, Can you setup limiters that will control the sound coming out of the speaker in a live mix? Can you set up Ableton to clean up your mix live and have it routed throw the same dj mix as you are mixing live as if you using audio limiter/ compressor gear with the dj mixer (Rane 70)? Kinda like using Ableton as an effects processor in your mix as you are mixing?
i remixed a record by David Sylvian called Forbidden Colours and turned it into a dubsteppish instrumental .Fairly laid back.I love the original but i wanted an instrumental with a slightly more modern vibe.Again Serato Studio made that possible though it was stemmed on other software .With Stems now on Studio the possibilities are endless.
i have used one of the samples in this video but mine was pitched and chopped.I dont do much in the way of original productions but i am pretty proud of The Destroyer Of Worlds made in Serato Studio.I will never be a major superstar but its very satisfying to be able to make anything and since getting studio i have been so creative.and i am still learning.I tried Ableton but i was not very good on that. Also this is part of the Serato ecosystem which i have been using for some time..What i would like to do is get My vinyl collection out of storage one day so i can use it as my sample library .I have a large collection and i just know i have a lot of treasure.Trouble is right now i dont have the space.
