It's so nice to hear such intelligent and interesting authors. Thank you for posting this video on youtube for the people we couldn't attend to this event.
I met Joe Hill a few years ago at a bookstore in Denver. He's super cool in person and crazy nice if you ever get a chance to go to one of his readings, their really worth it.
Joe is a great writer. Also, the resemblence of his facial features with his father's is just shocking. They look so alike... It's like looking at a younger version of Stephen before his accident in 1999
Strange Weather is a great book. 'Loaded' is the best novella in the book IMO. His voice is a lot different than his dads. There are some similarities in Joe and Stephens work but there are also alot of differences. In The Tall Grass is a fantastic collaboration.
First time iv'e ever seen and heard Joe Hill, iv'e only ever heard mention of him from King and just thought " meh another writers child trying to live up to it" but i'm actually surprised (not only cos he looks like an update 3.1 version lol) very well spoken.
I live in Burlington, Ontario, and this past summer the street around the corner from my house was closed for a few days and nights for filming of a Netflix project 'Locke and Key'. I had no idea it was written by King's son. Either way, when it comes out, I can look inside my neighbour's house and case the joint.
Jesus that long description portion was rig on the money. I tried some Anne Rice book years ago and she spent 3 pages describing a room. She took so long describing every little thing in the room i forgot why to character was in there and put the book away and never picked it up again.

Joe Hill is brilliant!
Joe Hill is great. Both Horns and NOS4A2 are incredible stories with terrific characters.
Just started NOS4A2. Can’t wait to get into the meat of it.
Joe Hill King! What a great writer.

Yes I love his work and had the surprise of my life who is dad is. So, for me, the anonymity of who he is didn’t affect how much I liked his stories 🌹
Man I could listen to him ( Joe I mean) all day.Mr. Estleman is very interesting also. Apologies if I spelled the gentleman’s name incorrectly.
Kings on writing is the reason I’m starting my book the Emerald Queen
I need to buy Strange Weather.
YEAH YOU DO

Amazing. Thank you!!
I really need to read more of his stuff. Such a genuinely nice guy.
Joe Hill thank you

Good job, very engaging.
Love Heart Shaped Box.

Rain, Snapshot and Aloft are great stories from Strange Weather!!!
Not a fan of loaded?
@@willywhitmore9189 That was the only one I didnt read cuz i knew the ending
I so see Steve King circa 1971
Funny to hear Joe talk about the sweet spot of novel writing coming from baby Stevie who wrote for volume 😂😂😂
For someone trying to separate himself from his famous father, Stephen King, he sure looks like his father when he was younger.
cant help genetics
Jeff Isaacson There’s moments when he’s reading that he even sounds like his dad ;)
gawd, a doppleganger of his dad, he's even better

The Fireman!! Fan-fucking-tastic!
Wow! I wonder if people have asked him if he was Francis Ford Capella, like his Old Man. Or Maybe more likely, "Are you Stephen King?" :P
#LunchMeat
"You paid that much for this......they saw you coming.". Lol
Maugham is brilliant.
He seem's like his father a little bit
Without knowing who he is, was,or reading what he wrote, you would be under the impression he is related to Stephen King.🤣🤣
Yup: kevlar makes bullets just bounce off. Real intelligent author; evident he did his research
Camp Crystal Lake. lol
Ummmmmm ehhhh and ummmmm
Robotic and mundane. Does not have his Dad's sense of humor.
