Peachy, this was great to watch. I used to go nearly every Spring and Fall to the TCA show with either my father or my father and his friends. We'd camp in an RV or a camper trailer on the grounds. I remember having to use the bathrooms outside the Red Hall when it was below freezing and there was no heating in those restrooms. I've been to Choo Choo Barn, the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum and the TCA National headquarters and museum so many times. One time, we travelled there and got there a couple of days early so we could drive on up to see Steamtown USA in Scranton. You younger kids are having so much fun now with this hobby at the core and I am so glad to see this. So many memories!!! Thank you Peachy.
Ran into you and your hubby a couple of times while we were all browsing. You both were so very sweet. I was so disappointed when I had learned that we missed the TH-cam meeting. It is one of the highlights of York. So, I would have done this in person but, “Thank you” for promoting the hobby and keeping up with the videos showing us the fun, and educating us all.
30:55 OMG I WAS THERE!!! Back in the summer I went to the Strasburg Rail Road and after that and the Pennsylvania Railroad museum, immer and my grandparents took me to that store and I got an ho scale 611 and a Kodachrome tunnel motor
Thank you for producing this segment. We attended the show, but only Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, so we missed so, so much. You are showing us what we need to see in April. Keep up the great work!
We have an open house every Spring and Fall York and people are free to run and try out what they bought at York. We also have food and drinks as well for the guests.
Very nice! York was a blast, this year and it was great meeting you. The layouts were real cool and there was a plethora of fine items to be found. Unfortunately, there was a lack of AMT passenger cars and K-Line O81 curves, as usual, but I did come away with some neat stuff. A new in box, MPC era FEC bay window caboose, was a steal for the price. Either way, it was still a great show. An excellent overview and video, as always.
Thank you so much! It was great meeting you too! We didn't find a few of the things we were looking for either, but we ended up coming away with way more than we were planning on anyway lol
When Goin to Train shows you have a Better Feeling and Your Stress Level Drops And You smile a lot more cause your in a Better world when Coming into model Railroading. Our law Is This we Don’t Think outside the show When We Go We Think trains.
@@peachystrains8772 i also liked the fact how you got your photo taken while standing in the Lionel state set observation car at the TCA museum. Plus seeing the Lionel 400e blue comet with the 390 tender on that standard gauge layout was something I found fascinating
Great video Peachy..it was one of my best york shows too. Seems to be more people attending each year. You had some very good comments during the youtube table discussion. It was good to see you and Zach again.
Thank you so much! I agree there definitely seemed to be more people there this year than last year, and even though a lot of people didn't know the meet and greet was on Friday I think we had more people at that than last year too!
@peachystrains8772 yes Peachy I agree even more people were at the youtuber event this year. Some kind of mixup with the eastern division publishing that it was on Saturday! I even had discussion and showed Jenny from Big Boy trains how it was listed as we thought she had it wrong..but later she found me and told me the time had changed. There are so many good people I have met in this hobby; including you Miss Peachy!
Hey peachy it was really great to meet you and the others thanks for the photo tag for Unclemattstrains at Eric's house if you guys are ever in the Montgomery Alabama area please give me a call we're just up the street in Wetumpka would love for you guys to come hang out and run some trains on my layout that would be awesome and hope to see you down the rails
Wow peachy very very impressive video and that mobile train layout truck is far beyond amazing was nice seeing it had the exact same passenger cars i have as well and congrats on 4k subs im hoping my channel will grow too and i hope one day to go to a train show if they bring one close to alabama 👍🚂
No, the only locomotives Menards is making at the moment are F-Unit diesels, no switchers. However I've been told by a reliable source Menards purchased a LOT of the old Williams tooling and molds so who knows what the future may bring? However, don't hold your breath.
I would definitely say Fall for your first York. It seems to me more people go in the fall if they only choose one to go to. I honestly haven't been to spring York yet.
Most of the Orange hall seems to be O gauge, but there are a few vendors there that have other scales. The other halls definitely have a bigger variety of gauges. I think the least I saw was probably G, but there were still a few things for that too!
@@robertglietz7178 Your 85% number's pretty correct in my opinion. However I predict in the future more of the other gauges will be more and more represented. The TCA was mostly the old classics for most of its existance but that's very likely to change, ALL trains are collectable, not just the old standards.

Yes! That was such a steal! I still can't believe we found it at the last minute when we were looking for it the whole show lol
Very cool and awesome trains
Thank you so much!
Hi Peachy, Nice meeting and talking to you at Legacy Station this past Saturday. I was the older man walking with a cane.
Hey! It was nice meeting you and talking to you too! And soon you'll be able to get rid of that cane too!

@ Thats cool maybe one day i can go to one of them
Menards doesn't or do make switching for o gauge?
No, the only locomotives Menards is making at the moment are F-Unit diesels, no switchers. However I've been told by a reliable source Menards purchased a LOT of the old Williams tooling and molds so who knows what the future may bring?
However, don't hold your breath.
When Model Railroading you can Never get enough Model Railroading By Any means No Matter what scale it is And That is the Truth.
So Peachy. My wife and I need to know…. Spring or fall York, which should we do for our first trip?
I would definitely say Fall for your first York. It seems to me more people go in the fall if they only choose one to go to. I honestly haven't been to spring York yet.
Is York pretty much jus O gage?
There are a few vendors selling HO, N, and S gauge, but probably 85% O gauge.
Most of the Orange hall seems to be O gauge, but there are a few vendors there that have other scales. The other halls definitely have a bigger variety of gauges. I think the least I saw was probably G, but there were still a few things for that too!

So your saying you came back home with lots of goodies, and a lot lighter wallet?
That I did! Working on that video next haha
Cute Chick-fil-A train cars!
Thank you! Those are from the LCCA I believe
