Im very comfortable driving them in congested areas. I also grew up driving a manual 5 speed truck and flat beds. I never had an issue with those, either. I drove one for several years as an everyday driver. How difficult is the transition to a 10 speed or higher transmissioms, and is the size different from the 36 trailers to the 53' trailers that much more noticeable and difficult? I am considering getting into long hauls for a moving company and they required a cdl. Any idea where to start would be helpful. I haven't had the opportunity to practice on one yet.
If u think about it anything happens and you have do some sort of manuver or hop out quickly, the seatbelt gonna slow u down, yes the laws say u must wear it but you wanna live right🤷🏽♂️. Plus there isnt much to cause one to fly out of a truck windshield

Evev dow there are good driver i would never hang beside does my small car against a big 18 wheeler that would not be pretty if he made a mistake everybody makes mistakes.
Whenever I see an 18 wheeler about to turn I just stop and watch in amazement of how u guys have so much patience and skills.
