Benelli TRK Extras fitting how to fit fog lamps

- I’ve fitted fog lamps from Amazon. But I’ve used the spare switch on the handle bars. Without having to fit another switch to the handle bars. If you need any help just let me know.
Nice one, just fitted some, the aux switch turns off with the ignition. Bought some lights of Amazon came with short cables but soldered the joints and heat shrunk them. The plug was a bit of a faf to fit but came in a pack of six so had a practice. Great videos mate. 👍

@@BenelliTomTRK Hi Tom I have been thinking about putting a 15tooth sprocket on, did it have any adverse affects when you did it, mines not an X version. I was wondering as I'm sure yours is not a X either? Seen some people saying the gearing is different and it can't be done. Thought I would check with you as you did it. 👍 Say upright mate and keep riding 👍
The only other advice I would give if you do decide to change is. Take the caps off the front and rear brake fluid reservoirs so air pressure can get out . As you said I have the TRK. NOT the X . Only you can decide weather you want to change the sprocket ⚙️ you can always change it back if you don’t like the 15 tooth or you have any issues. Good luck. Tom 😎🤘🇬🇧

From the looks of it, you bolted the radiator grill on top of the black radiator grill that comes stock. Having two radiator grills on top of the radiator itself will make it difficult for air to flow and will eventually heat up the bike unnecessarily. Careful with that 👍
Antonio thanks for the heads up 👍. The grill has got air vents in it also so air can still get to the radiator. That said you make a good point I’ll keep my eye on it

Just been and ordered the new bennelli TRK 502 in white can’t wait!!!!!
A friend has just bought one of these. We were trying to fit some fog lights earlier and came across your video. He has got the connector to fit to the existing connector behind the front fairing but when connected the fog lights only work on real dim. When we connect them to a seperaye 12v battery the fog lights are really bright. Cycle through connecting and disconnecting and they go from bright to dim, then flash etc when connected to the seperate battery. But when connected to the switch wire they are only dim. We couldn't understand the bit about the lead back to the bike battery and what we need to do there? Even with the flashing option these lights only have two wires, not 4 as you describe! Any idea where we are going wrong? TIA
It’s very hard for me to answer this question without seeing what lights you have how you have connected them etc. my advice would be to speak to an auto Electrician see what they say. Am really sorry I can’t be more helpful. Thanks for watching Chris I hope you get it sorted. 🤘😎🇬🇧
Tom....thanks for your reply but the guy sorted it simply by connecting to the right hand switch. There is no cutting, no connecting black and red wires....simply just connect the light wires with the female connector to the existing conector and it all works just fine!! Cycles through Solid Bright, Solid dim and flashing by pressing the switxh button on and off.

@@BenelliTomTRK Tom, if I bought a spotlight which plugs to the socket from factory, but ut doesnt come with any harness or relay, is that fine? Or we still need harness. I plugged to the existing socket and it works. But one of my riding partner told me otherwise.
The right hand switch has a relay. But best leave that switch for a heavy load ie heated grips. I have mine fitted to the left hand switch. Works great even without a relay.
@@BenelliTomTRK But the left side doesnt seem to work for me. While the right side has 2 plug n play sockets. The left has 1 too but doesnt work when I tried to connect my light to it

hi tom do you need a power relay if a short circuit occurs or not?
You could use a relay if you wish but remember the right switch has a relay already
@@BenelliTomTRK so it would be better to connect to the right switch ?? the left has no relay ?? is there a fear of a short circuit?
It won’t sort mate the fuse you fit to the fog lights would blow first. I fitted mine too the left switch with NO Relay never had any problems. Thanks for watching Dimitris.
