This show has been off the air for 2 years already somehow... I remember watching all the episodes live since the start of season 1. It really was one of the best cartoons created in modern day.
Ughhhh sameeeeeee, I hate to admit it but suddenly remembered that this show ended 2 years ago, and I cried for 10 minutes straight cause life was better back then, :) ❤️
Some shows have made me laugh, others have made me cry. This show made me do both, and in the opinion of mine. This will always be the greatest show, from now til the end of time.
I wasn’t even around in the fandom during the original run, and the fact that I’ve seen all there will ever be to see from this series is a significant source of grief for me. I miss Star and Marco’s love. I miss their antics. I miss magic and imagination. I miss interdimensional zany versions of experiences I know from my own life. I miss the emotional weight this show commanded when the episodes were new to me (I literally gasped and whined “no…” out loud at the end of Starcrushed, and the first time I saw it, it was by myself). Ugh I want more so bad. Disney and their stupid 4 seasons rule can kick rocks. SvtFoE only being 28 hours of content is a criminal act. Much less beautiful media gets double the runtime or more. To take a few examples from my childhood, Yu-Gi-Oh has something like 84 hours of runtime. Original Pokémon had over 107. Original Naruto had about 81. Even Code freaking Lyoko had about 42 hours of runtime, and that was a low-budget show that, while great at times, severely underutilized their characters and premise (we will all turn gray and die waiting for the writers to address Ulrich and Yumi or even for that matter Jeremy and Aelita). How is Code Lyoko 50% more content than SvtFoE? Just how? Ugh. Within the same genre, Adventure Time is about 52 hours and Regular Show is about 48. Or how about when Disney cheated to break their own rules by moving the setting of a popular show and calling it a “new series”? The Suite Life had over 60 hours of content. More than twice as much as SvtFoE. The MCU Infinity Saga is about 48 hours if we only include the big screen content, and another 207 hours of supporting made-for-TV content for a total of 255 hours. 255 hours of mostly punch punch kick kick, dramatic reveal of a superhero costume that looks exactly like we all knew it would because of older media, slide in some billionaire apologetics and glorify militarization, ooh aah puff. Don’t get me wrong, it’s entertaining most of the time, but it’s hardly worthy of a near-factor of 10 greater-sized content library compared to SvtFoE. . Ik I’m just ranting now, but it makes me so sad. Especially now that I’m getting far enough along in rewatches that I’m not forgetting moments and having them reintroduced to me anymore.

i remember first time watching it back in 2016 as i kid, an im 18 rn........and it honestly hurts me so bad....i love this show so much :( i just rewatched it for the 7th time and i still feel the same emotions as 1st time i watched every episode, thats how you know you made one of the BEST cartoons ever, this show will never get old. i hope daron will continue this show somehow in future, she said she would love to..and also 10th anniversary is coming in like literally 4 months, maybe its a little chance. also reading comments made me cry...i will miss this show forever this is honestly crazy that this show ended 5 years ago
I can’t even explain how happy this video makes me. It’s like the entire story of the show is wrapped up in an hour. I recognize so many of the OSTs and what scene their from, and some are from my favourite scenes, so it immediately puts a smile on my face, seeing this. Now all I need is one of these for Gravity Falls and Amphibia :,)
11:02 for running with scissors. One, maybe my favorite song from these. The violins and guitar evoke so much emotion from an already emotional song. The whole soundtrack from the episode is its own whole emotional rollercoaster. I love it.
This soundtrack is amazing and so relaxing. It makes me want to rewatch the show again and again. So many laughs, tears, and an unforgettable plot. Daron Nefcy, please, please, please! If you would make a Season 5, or even just short clips of Star and Macro saying hi to us please. We miss them! 😀
Daron chose to write based on the time she knew she would be given, but the choice not to have a S5 wasn’t hers. Disney has a stupid 4 seasons rule. Probably because that’s around the time the fandom for a new show starts to saturate and new merch sales start to decline. The Mouse won’t waste precious airtime running popular established shows with existing fandoms when they can run S1 of something new and sell merch no one has yet because it’s a new show with new fans.

the part of the music when star arrives to mewni with moon without Marco and looks away with the most sadness in her eyes before she decides to go to earth gives me most felling of void that I have ever felt in my whole life. Like, imagine loosing like that the love of your life and the sadness she was felling for going to that moment was probably the worst pain that she could feel in her life and she felt.

So do I. But I think the main problem as to why most feel unsatisfied with the ending is because the final season's main plot was too fast and the crew focused too much on filler episodes before it.

I love how this soundtrack remembers me of my little music box that my great grandmother gifted me. They are all so cute, magical and sad at the same time and somehow they unlock some memories... it's kinda weird but I love it TwT
imo season 1 & 2 were the best and then 3 was ok and then 4 ruined everything 😭 I loved that show with my whole heart as a kid, but it would have been more respectful to the story and the characters they created to cut the show off at season 2 like with Gravity Falls. It would have been a better ending.
