LOVE the dynamics in your playing, I don't hear that attention to detail from most guitarists. I never owned a Martin, so when I went to Guitar Center I saw this and tried it out. I was impressed so I went home and with no serious intent started seeing what I could get a used one for. I found a mint condition, with Martin hard case ($250 value), for $629 free shipping ($680 with all taxes). I had no intention of buying but how can I pass that price up? If I hate it I can make a profit. I got it home and though it is pure mint, I'm not quite as impressed as I was with the D10e at Guitar Center, but I'm not sure if that's due to needing a setup, truss rod adjustment, etc. As of right now I prefer my Taylor 114e and my Yamaha AC5R (both are more buttery smooth to play) but those are both plek'd and have Elixirs so who knows. I'll try to make it great and if I fail I'll probably get a an Alvarez MD70BG, which I'm told is every bit as good as a D28 for MUCH less.
Great demo video. This is an excellent presentation of the qualities of the D-10e. I have had mine for 2 years and love it. At this stage of my development it is my go to guitar. The Mexico Martin factory does a wonderful job with these. They make it easy to desire more expensive Martin's.
You are doing a great job. Love your reviews. Great touch. I tried a 10 and an 11ce and I thought there was a lot of guitar for the money. The 11 I tried had a great sounding spruce top. Really. I do not like the ridge light I think it effects the presence a bit. Hard to describe it's effect. It could use a little more low end in a prefect world.
You said " If you want the sound of the classic Martin in every details you have to dig much deeper into your pocket " OK fine before I dig deeper into my pocket can you compare this guitar with a class martin ? like D 28 ? thanks a bunch :)

I play this model more than 3 years now, live and also in recordingsessions. I don t need any other Dreadnaught, its simply perfect for me.
I bought one about the time this video was released. I’m re-learning to play. I have my sights set on a D-28. But not until I can play well.
Fantastic demo!! I just bought a Martin GPC11e, i think the road series is great value for money.

A little on the thin side on the treble strings compared to expensive Martins.
Still very good sounding though.

Thanks a lot for your kind words Geoffrey 🙏🏼

Hi Thomas, I recorded the D-18 Modern Deluxe a few weeks ago. Maybe this helps? :) Greetings, Michael
