    Its a good way to teach russian to students with demonstration, it simplifies about what are you talking. Its proverb, pictures says thousands of words of explaination. Well done, carry on!!!

      Это очень сильно зависит от города. In Omsk apartments are cheap (the one from this video will be about $50,000:) The same apartment in Moscow can be $180,000-200,000. As for rent, we pay about $1000 per month

    Do people rent or own their apartments?? I noticed that everyone in Moscow lives in apartments but I noticed that there are homes outside of Moscow, but they all have high fences or are in gated communities. Seems like so much security. Do they really need that much security? I have really enjoyed my trips to Moscow...

    • @RealRussianClub
      @RealRussianClub  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Some people rent, some people own their apartments. For example, this one is my mom's, she bought it. And I rent my apartment, because can't afford one. Yet, I hope:)) As for the houses and fences, I don't think it's about security (well, security is very important too, Russia is certainly not the safest place in the world). It's just always been like that, a house without a fence in the countryside would look just strange:)

      @ppoint432 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Recently I had a conversation with a Russian person and I tried to ask him if ever visited a gated community there but I didn't know how to say that. Instead I said: private neighborhood. So I'm curious how Russians say "gated community" or "walled community".

    In such a 'house' is there a body corporate/owner's corporation that oversees the 'behaviour' of the apartment owners? Or is this done at a local government level? For example, where I am, the body corporate might restrict what colour you could paint your balcony, or take legal action against the crazy guy on the seventh floor who decided he'd like to breed pigs in his apartment. ;-) Their main purpose is, of course, to look after all the communal parts of the building.
