    Thanks! So fun to see your coverage of my "happy place" at Mud Lake, and especially to have a front-row seat and to see how you make these videos!

    Yes. Finally someone promoting putting logs back where you found them. These environments have been many years in the making and are easily destroyed if permanently displaced. Thank you! Also in the case where amphibians such as salamanders are found other logs, please do not manipulate them with your hands if you have used chemical insect repellents.

      Yeah I should have mentioned that, I'm always very careful handling amphibians and don't touch them unless I know my hands are clean... two dry leaves often do the trick otherwise I've found

      @@naturefold Thank you. I’m not sure what kind of repellent you use, but in case you are not aware DEET has a deleterious effect on synthetic materials including clothing, rubberized camera components and lens coatings. Picaridin (AKA icaridin) has a similar repellent effect to DEET but is much kinder to synthetic materials including optical coatings. If you prefer to avoid sprays and creams, I have had good success with permethrin treated clothing although this solution offers limited protection against mosquitos and black flies on exposed areas of skin. Thanks for the great vids and happy shooting!

    I just want to say - thank you! For everything you do for us, for amazing videos and photos. Thanks to you I discovered new and amazing world of macro photography and after almost 6 years of not having real motivation to use my old DSLR, next year I’m planning to buy new camera and lens for macro and start shooting pictures again and reconnect with nature. Being in the woods and looking through the macro must be so relaxing.
    Thank you so much for being such an inspiration. For me, you are the best macro photographer on TH-cam. No doubt

    Bird shots cool change of pace. Turkey feather details a plus. Did the gear whet your appetite for a tele lens purchase?

    • @naturefold
      @naturefold 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It's definitely tempting, but good telephoto lenses are just so expensive. I'd love to test more equipment like that out though, I'm hoping to try the Fuji 150-600mm sometime soon

    Such a good video, thanks for making this :) I'm deeply impressed about how you're able to make such long handheld focus bracketing as well as the quality from the full frame setup ! Hope you'll keep doing similar videos in the future, cheers

    Great stuff! Can you explain if electronic shutters can work with focus stacking?

    • @Диванныйвоин-ф1з
      @Диванныйвоин-ф1з 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It depends on the camera model. Olympus omd em1m1 does in-camera focus stacking with electronic shutter only

  • @clarasdk
    @clarasdk 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Do you manual focus and just move the camera for stacking or af with some build into stacking capabilties? No matter the technic your work is amazing.

    • @naturefold
      @naturefold 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      My macro lenses are fully manual so automated focus bracketing isn't possible, I shoot in burst mode and move the camera forward slowly to change focus between shots

    Idk but this is so relaxing I am 35 y.o and like what you are doing, I am also a beginner in photography and love your work and channel. But I also have one question that doesn't have just nothing with photography, I like those cargo pants can you tell me where you bought them?

    • @naturefold
      @naturefold 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks so much! Those are fairly cheap cargo pants from Decathlon here, but I like them because they're fairly thin and the legs zip off to turn them into shorts
