The Short History of a Cola Company (Fallout Lore Extended: Nuka: Cola)

- Embark on a short trip with me as we go over the lore surrounding John-Caleb Bradberton's claim to fame: Nuka-Cola Corporation.
After making my Nuka-Cola Corp shorts video, I found myself with a bunch more research than I could fit in the video. So I wanted to make this, while some of it might be repeated from the short, I go over some new topics as well; the various cola variants, the Beverageers, and Project Cobalt.
While this is my 10th or so long form video, I'm still getting used to the editing and process as a whole. I got some great support on the Vault supercut, so I tried to emulate that sorta vibe. Obviously, this video isn't as long and doesn't cover the entire extent of Nuka-Cola. It's more of an overview of the company from it's inception to, well, it's demise with the Great War.
If you have other suggestions for longer videos, feel free to comment them.
Thanks for all the support, folks! Cheers!

i loved the Nuka cola vaccines in 76, getting to call it “Nuka cola my bloods in it” then not only handing it out to RAIDERS and some settlers but also getting a crafting recipe for it was hilarious
they predicted the commodification of vaccines
At first I saw the option for the name on the terminal and thought "Oh hey, that's pretty funny". But then I saw the model actually said "My Bloods in it" and I just lost it.
It should be Nuka cold prime
Unfortunately I doubt it’s the canon name for one simple reason.
You can bet if there was a drink called “Nuka MY BLOOD IS IN IT”the disciples at nuka world would have crates of a homemade version of the drink.
It almost is funny how similar this "distorted horrible parody" take on coca cola is to the actual coke product. Like a bottle of coke is actually more than nuka cola for daily sugar percentage
Be honest, as soon as Nuka Cola would come out to be a real drink, you'd stock up, wouldnt you?
..yes
...Yeah
Yep....
Yeah, I guess you're right.
Unashamedly
I love this longer form content! Keep up the good work.
Thanks. Much appreciated!
@@N_ortehave you made a video on Nuka cola victory cause I am curious on what gives its orange glow
Small note: I believe Bradburtons name is a small refernce to Pepsi and cokes creator, Pepsi being Caleb D. Bradham and Cokes John Stith Pemberton:John Caleb Bradburton.
So they were thinking about putting Adderall into Nuka? Damn, now that's what I call soda with a kick.
Nice
You mean desoxyn that dextromethamphetamine adderall on the other hand is a mixture of amphetamine salts but they in the same family of drugs but different enough to be called different drugs but have similar effects too make them in the same family like amphetamines are the parents of meth and molly they’re like trouble little kids lol
German science at its finest
Coca-Cola made them change their bottle in universe. That's my headcanon
Fun fact: 120% of your daily sugar isn't even that much compared to modern day sodas have at around 140% - 150% or higher.
People shouldn't be having that much sugar. Sugar feeds cancer and has no health benefits whstsoever. Sad that everyone is so ignorant to such a fact.
huh, no wonder i slept more when i drank a can of coke
Hope you had a fun time making this, and have a good day!
Thanks. You too!
I came through the Shorts and stayed for the full-time Videos. I love your long videos. Keep it up 👍
thank you! that means so much!
@@N_orte glad to hear that. ☺️
I must thank you for introducing me to this magnificent series
I'm gonna be honest, if Nuka-Cola Co. had succeeded in rebranding the lemon soda as Nuka-Lemon, I'd have been interested.
3:43 Pretty funny, now that coca-cola has an actual coffee coca-cola.
life imitates art and art imitates life and all that
I tried it and it was pretty okay
Nuka-cola would kill Coca-Cola if they were competing.
Yep
I don't know if anyone knows this.
But the lands seem to line up with the Disney parks.
Dry Rock Gulch is supposed to be Frontier land
Nuka-town USA would probably be Main Street USA
The Galactic Zone would be Tomorrow Land
Safari Adventure is clearly Animal Kingdom
I'm not sure where Kiddie land fits in. However, Bradberton seems to fit in with Celebration Florida
I didn't know you made full videos? This is great!
Thanks for making this!! Love long videos to sleep to!
I’m loving these longer vids. Keep up the good work bro!
This is genius
Love the style of this video. Very chill, easy to have on in the background while playing Fallout 4 for the first time in a good while. Gonna enjoy checking the channel out
This is one of the most interesting topics in my opinion, thank you :)
Longer form content, you know what I like.
Some enclave radio operator probably picked up his radio transmission and had a good laugh
A well researched and edited documentary. I love Fallout lore.
this guys videos ar so calming with the music and his voice
Dude your voice is so calming, I love it! ❣️🌹
The short history
Me: 15mins is pretty long lol
It's not lol, you just have your focus time ruined
I thought it would be a couple hours
I think you watch way too many shorts
Get off tiktok and grow your attention span.
Remember wastelanders to always dilute your nuka cola 5 parts Nuka to 1 part Radaway
I want a Nuka-Cran.
I would kill to try actual, honest-to-god Nuka cola. Even if it actually tastes like actual sugar water, I would want to try it.
The only thing I like about Nuka world dlc is that you can build the pre war robots that were serving people back then before the great war it makes my settlement morale go up like crazy
I’m making a Nuka cola museum in the fallout 76 and this was super helpful
Great video!
0:28 look it’s me
Omg imagine if a food and drink company bought Bethesda and then using the copyright making real nuka cola and having the games just be advertisement for the real world counterparts. Like a prewar game having the abundance of advertimen being explained as the ads were a cost of dystopia. Making it a monument to irony
Boom coke
Can anyone explain to me how Nuka cola vending machines work ? I’ve been looking at the in game model and it doesn’t look like any vending machines I’m familiar with. There’s no ports that dispense the bottle and in game you get he bottles by just opening the casing without any kind of locks and even then it only contains 2 or 4 bottles at max
Dextro-amphetamine is the generic version of adderall
Nuka Dark worked in the Fallout universe, but not in our world xd.
I'm guessing monopoly laws were blithely ignored in the Fallout universe too.
What Federal government ~?
I feel only bad for vim
Drink Nuka-cola today!🍾
I have never played Fallout, is the soda itself radioactive? Is that why it's called Nuka?
No it’s because of the culture in America in their universe. In our reality after we drop the bombs during World War II we saw nuclear weapons as a threat and we saw the danger in trying to implement it full scale into society in there universe on the other hand. They embraced it. Everything from nuclear powered cars, robots in the 50s, to limitless power! Science fiction became science fact. So that’s why it’s called Nuka Cola I guess you could think of it as a good selling point name for a drink because of the hype and support for Nuclear power. Also, if you were wondering why are there computers are all retro even though they’re using nuclear power that is specifically because they fully implemented nuclear energy after World War II unlike us. So we had to find other means of generating, electricity and power, and we did just that, and with that came the invention of the transistor which allowed us to have the smart phones that we have today and the camera sizes that we have today and the computer sizes. I don’t know all the technical stuff. I just know that specifically it was the transistor. It was just never invented in their universe.
So does the far harbor dlc take place in MAINE????
Can someone educate me on this? I’ve watched these on my feed and decided to know what it is but I still dk 🙏🦅
1:53 numberblocks
DXM is cough medicine
0:14 what is that picture I would really like it for a background
Just search up nuka cola pin up poster
these are Unsurprisingly Petty/etc and are No different to those like our old one era counterparts' acts for example. *(**05:50**).*
Yes! I saw the short, i wamted a full thimg; thank you
Great video but such a weird music choice
amazing how there are mfs who think fallout doesnt critique capitalism but here we are, watching fallout critique capitalism,
Dextromethamphetamine is just another word for methamphetamine its like you said prescribe version of real meth for servere adhd only for a last resort and sometimes for last resorts for severe obesity meth come in 2 different forms L meth and D meth same like amphetamine their is L amphetamine and a d amphetamine and yes they are in the same family of drugs called you guess it amphetamines lol and no Adderall and dexetrine is no methamphetamine that’s under another name called desoxyn adderall on the other hand is a mixture of amphetamines salts and dexetrine is only d amphetamine but yeh meth in nuka cola no shit its addictive
Which one is Adderall? I'm sorry it was hard to read.
@@fuzzybuzzy3159 adderall is a salt based mixture of dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine like 3:1 ratio and then there is dexetrine which is only dextroamphetamine
@@fuzzybuzzy3159 oh sorry lol my writing is not clear sometimes adderall is a salt based mixtures of dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine it like 3:1 ratio basically pure amphetamine mix
When is my mom coming into fall out guys 69 :/
Funny how the Nuka Cola has the same colours as Coca-Cola and the same wave hmmm 🤔 and Nuka-Cola sounds alot alike coca-Cola and how it has the same level of sugar in it and all the different flavours 😂 I think I’ll make myself a nuka cola with jack Daniels I mean coca-Cola with jack daniels lol Oh wait Coca-Cola already has a brand like that oh and colours are black just like the nuka cola lol 😂
No no no. It’s called a coke not a cola
but they don't make coke, they make cola. we can split the difference and call it pop
No! You are wrong!
No, he's right coke makes cola, so does Pepsi and Dr pepper
When I search n_orte, it's nothing but n_orte
