Excellent and thorough testing. Wish I just could watch it all right now to the end. The suspense is killing me. This is a top series! My money is on the Landcruiser, but that Defender is looking so good too. Aftermarket parts, ease of service, service costs and eventual rust are the factors that will play a big role which car is getting the top spot.
🎉🎉🎉all same can go off-road the difference is the price better buying the cheapest one low cost service maintenance heavy duty easy to repair like Mitsubishi Triton or pajero
Vehicles are not of equilibrium comparison . Under 100k has nissan patrol in it Whereby in reality competes with the landcrusier 300 This debate has been going on for ages, cruiser vs patrol ,and still i don't know why u can't compare according to the right categories Not impressed at all
Probably for the same reason they culled the g wagon... was clearly the most capable car but was $150k more than anything else, making it a non viable option.
Ranger, no one really wants the 2.0L. My local Ford tells me its difficult to sell them, he wants more 3.2L. but in short supply. Cannot figure why the 3.2L is not there in your test. LR, cannot buy this model, the new cars are all dumbed down with chip shortage. ie: back to analogue dials. Drop to limp mode and its curtains. Go try it, pull out an ABS brake sensor on each vehicle and see what happens. This is the sort of simple testing you could do. Also the Defender is simply 'arrgghh how shall I say this'... a fucking Discovery in Salvation Army clothes. Patrol, 98 octane 'petrol' fuel, you gotta be kidding. Take it across the Gary Junction and fuel up with 86octane stale petrol at communities. 300 series, absolutely pathetic load carrying capacity at approx 650kg, for the money its a manufacturers con and you guys should target this design bullshit. Overall, Service Centres must be a factor. LR crap, Nissan, pretty crap, Ranger half a tick, Toyota, tick., most buyers do take this factor into purchasing play.
Y62 is great other than what you say outback shit petrol it will suck petrol crazy If not long distance touring is a great platform and pretty good on fuel ⛽
Due to semi conductor shortages etc, ALL manufacturers are struggling with being able to build more vehicles. And most / many manufacturers are currently deleting certain features due to the semi conductor shortages. You surely must know, that the all new Ranger is about to be released ? Deliveries begin during June. Current Ranger is now in runout. The 3.2 litre motor is being completely discontinued. It’s availability in current Ranger has been scaled back over last 12 months… All new model Ranger continues with the 2.0 litre bi-turbo diesel, and other engines, such as 3.0 litre V6 diesel, and a twin turbo petrol 6 cylinder motor for the Raptor. The 3.2 litre Ranger motor, is older technology, less kw and nm v the 2.0 litre bi-turbo diesel motor. You seem to be such an expert ? Of the 6 remaining vehicles on test, which is the best, and why ?
@@StephenFogarty2023 the problem I agree is effecting delivery but landrover is one that is actually removing tech back to near 2020 analogue spec and these testers and public need to know.
@@petermills1402 It’s not just LR Many / most manufacturers such as BMW, Mbenz and Skoda etc etc are all stuck with the problem of deleting some features at the moment. @@StephenFogarty2023 totally agree but the testers need to look into this before they announce winners when just maybe that car is simply different when purchased. Its not all about driving them, its what you get when hard earned is passed to the dealer and an order is made then you may not get the car you ordered. Thanks for the discussion.
I love the sitting around the camp fire and listening to the conversation between one another. This is what's missing in all off-road channels.
Lovely stuff chaps, some great vehicles and great feedback from you all.
Supporting the idea of using the vehicle price as the class category. With so much variables involved, cash is the only orange to orange comparison.
How can you say ''we have the 2 best Utes here with out a doubt'' when you havnt tested even half the Utes in the market ?
I think they meant the best 2 out of the 6 UTEs they tested on the first day when there were 18 vehicles in all.
good video nice track location well explained
I drove those tracks In a 3k 88 petrol pathfinder 3 years ago. Great fun especially in a car on straight gas not knowing if it will die or not 😅
I actually really like that the HiLux still has hydraulic power steering I have never driven a car with electronic power steering that I like
Suzuki Swift. Like a go-cart. No understeer

Lancruiser is sooo overpriced
Y62 is much better option
Surely you would put the trailer behind the new 300
What aftermarket suspension kit (brand) would you suggest for a dual cab ute? I just bought a MAZDA BT50 XTR.
very good

Defender 👍🦾
Defender only had good comments made about it. LR for the win easily.
Why would you cut the Raptor off the list before going to the terrain designed for it.... ....Baja Time!
Mud rock crawl
Because these guys are Hilux Fanboys - Seriouly cutting the raptor because of its towing capacity
all these are stock suspensions?

Becuase the patrol whomps it for value for money and pretty much everything else....and these guys want their toyota sponsorship...

Ranger can’t be up there as there always breaking down everywhere you look
Didnt have a bad word to say about the jeep but its excluded becuase toyota and ford pay....
Im sorry but the guy driving the hilux obvioulsy owns one and the bloke owning the ranger obviously drives a hilux lmao. this test is so biased
Still the ranger won
