Jessika Alvarez I grew up listening to all those same artists, and I miss that kind of country. All this polished pop/country crap just turns me off. Taylor Swift and all those artists just aren't real country in my opinion. I can imagine Billy can't be pleased with his daughter as a dad. especially when she wore that abomination outfit designed by a designer that I think was named "cheap disappointment to my father" at the VMAs.

Much like the mullet, the song and voice, plus the beautifully melodic guitar playing, are all simply EPIC! This song brought tears to my yes when I heard it the first time (I was 14), and even now, I get the same tears 18 years later. That's the mark of a great tune.

I met billy at resurrection life church in Grandville, Michigan in 2003 when he performed all of the songs from The Other Side album and promoting the album. I will never forget the handshake I received that Saturday night and was pretty darn thrilled to be the only one to bring in the Shot Full Of Love cassette and The Other Side cd and have you sign it. I will never forget when you came to Calhoun County fairgrounds, my oldest sister Kelli and I are longtime fans but I am a die hard fan of yours. Wish I could meet you again one day Billy.

After the last bell of the day rang, I'd run to my locker, grab my bag and as I was leaving school for the day, I'd put on my headphones, hit "Play" and jam out. Great end-of-day listening.

Love how the keyboards, acoustic guitars, bass and drums (does anyone else notice the drummer is using DOUBLE-KICK?) mesh into a well-produced tapestry for the vocals to soar over. BRC put his heart, soul and balls into this song; you can tell. Plus, I love how the song builds and builds until that final double chorus at the end. Then, you have two STUNNING guitar solos. The first lasts eighteen seconds, but is merely a teaser for the BLISTERING lead at 2:59. The drama and tension are so thick by this point that, when he hits that first string bend, I begin to cry. When it's all said and done, THAT, my friends, is how you play a fucking guitar solo.

Spot freaking on man. I also like the sound of the snare drum. For some reason lots of country music that came out from 1991-1996 has a similar production style to 80's rock music.
+GrantH Yeah; I've noticed that myself. If you think about it, some rock bands from the eighties used the same producers as some of the country artists from the nineties. RJ "Mutt" Lange produced BOTH AC/DC and The Cars (let's not forget Def Leppard) in the 80's. He also worked with Shania Twain, starting with her second record, dropped in 1995. It would only stand to reason that, in his work with Twain, he would draw on what he did with rock in the 80's: big drums, bigger guitars, stacked vocals, clean productions, etc. Makes sense, and you can draw parallels. Thanks for bringing that up.

Achy Breaky Heart which i danced to and had my own dance to it and end with a cool bow with a arm out on knee and i was on stage at school for talent everyone loved it. On a old tape. I saw him at a concert which i was shocked that he would come to Pekin,IL my mom screamed take off your shirt lol and i came so close to him over the guard rail at night when it wasand i was hoping to get a autograph on my then at time Bulls Jersey but some big woman knocked me over and i tried to reach over. To me i should of gotten a autograph i grew up with my bad dad and his songs made me feel so good inside it has a great feeling withhin his voice that most dont realize he even said he went to a girls dying bed than do a taping he said she wants to see me before she died i think it was a young young girl on some talk thing i forgot what on a recording interview back then she was so happy to meet him and that is something that meant alot to Billy but most have to hate even if agreat guy christian if i am right he didnt want to be like many singers i i remember him saying he dont want to be over rated or be too cocky or u know being like many who is always there constantly and get to big headed he anted to come and go and sing at his own time i respect that but if many hate him i dont c are hes the best voice ever even over Phil Collins voice many others i love and their amazing songs and voice his is thebest! I still glad i came so close to him. That is something i treasure.
