I'm a 30-year old, 6'4 tall, full-bearded man And this opening makes me tear up every f*cking time. The nostalgia value and the song and the animation... and all these years that flew past...
The opening of KH2 means so much to me. Every time as a kid (and still often now as an adult) whenever I booted up my PS2 to play the game I’d start a new file then reset just to hear Sanctuary and fucking belt out the lyrics, which I still know to this day by heart. It’s so cool to see someone else get hit by the emotionality of it as well
My PS2 had a unique issue. For some reason it refused to save KH2 and only KH2, every other game was fine. So, basically, everytime I wanted to play KH2 I had start from the beginning. I may have dedicated a few days of not turning my PS2 off every summer just to replay through the game. Needless to say, anytime I wanted to play the game I became quite well acquainted with the belting of lyrics.

I cry, then she cries too, haha. She's 2 years old and getting started on games early. Mario kart is her thing, even though she has no idea who she is, she is playing with mom and dad, haha. I see her playing all the KH games in the future.
